I have a few of the Mr Hueys Mists and they seem to work pretty well. I am in search for more colors but I cant find more than a few colors from the same store! To get the colors I want I would have to place orders from a few different places and pay multiple shipping charges, no thanks! However, I have seen some different brands with beautiful colors and even some metallics. I would try a new brand based on your reviews. Please let me know what you like other than Mr Hueys! I would really appreciate it

For Shimmery If you get Tattered Angels, but a thing of round BB's (like for a bb gun) and put 3 in the container to help when you swirl it. I think they are kind of a pain with clogging and such, but I have the most of these.
Ranger Perfect Pearls - love them.
Heidi Swapp Color Shine - love this.
For non shiny,
Tsukineko walnut ink - I have 4 colors and I like them.
Ranger Adirondack color wash - these are also great on fabric items. I like Ranger quality.
October Afternoon - I'm not crazy about. I've had clogging issues with these too.
chalk tattered angels - haven't had any issues.
I've heard really good things about Dyllusionals and Lindy's stamp gang.

Dylusions. I won't bother buying anything else. These fill all my needs in a mist/liquid watercolour ink fashion. The blending is absolutely perfect too.

Just wanted to add that the pp was pretty spot in with her evaluations. I'd like to add Prima Color Blooms. They are fantastic and spray very easy - I prefer the nozzle on these.

Late to the trend, I've just recently began experimenting with mists: Heidi Swapp Color Shine (white/navy/bronzer/black/amethyst/teal/tinsel/gold purchased with coupons or on clearance at M's & HL) & Tattered Angels Plain Jane Baseboard (cardboard & gravel bought with coupons at ACM). Having never used Mr Huey's, I'm unable to compare/contrast brands. HTH

Mr Huey is definitely my favorite but I can't find them very many places anymore.

I don't have much experience with mist, but I really like the look of Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. Just a few little drops adds a nice sparkle to my projects.

I have Heidi Swapp Colorshine, Dylusions, Ranger Colorwash, and I just recently purchased some Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays. The Colorwash are a bit dark for my taste, but I was planning on using them to make my own shimmer sprays. The Dylusions are transparent, richly saturated colors. Heidi Swapp are thicker with a nice shimmer. The lindy's are wonderful! The flat Fabios have a very flat, almost chalky finish. The Mooonshadow Mists are brown with a color shimmer. The Starburst Sprays are very shimmery, and some are 2 toned. I like them all.
One thing I refuse to do is buy any mist that contains less than two ounces of product. Many times the one ounce sprays are even more expensive. I just do not feel I would be getting my money's worth.

Favorite shiny mists are the Heidi Swapp color shines. Favorite non-shiny are the Dylusions by Ranger. Not only do these both spray consistently evenly (something I can't say for Mr. Huey's) but the colors are great. I love that I can get a good range of bright and softer colors just with a complete set of these. The worst I have ever used are the October Afternoon. I love the chalky look of them but it takes an ETERNITY to get the pigment evenly distributed and by the time you do you've inevitably created bubbles which then creates a big mess when you have to spray. I can't part with mine though because most of their colors do show up well against black. Great tip about the BBs for Tattered Angels! It seems like everytime I want to use mine I have to soak the spray mechanism to clear out all the mica bits stuck in it. Anyone know how to avoid this besides besides being on some kind of mixing schedule ( sorry can't go to the movies tonight, I gotta shake my mist collection)? I just saw last week that hobby lobby is carrying the original colors of Dylusions in two-packs and someone has posted a you tube showing what each of the colors looks like. Getting a set with a coupon would be a great way to try them out.

for a light color, I like Perfect Pearls. you still get the shimmer but the color is softer. for more intense color I use Tattered Angels. I'm more likely to get splatters with that one but I don't mind them. I used to have the Maya Road but I got rid of all of them because they never fully dried on fabric/canvas. their colors are opaque and intense but the drying was the biggest problem.

I love Colorshines too! I have sweet cherry, blush, gold lame and mint green. They are all such lovely colors! The sweet cherry looks pink if you spray lightly, and red when you spray heavily or splatter. The blush has such an amazing shimmer to it. I should use them more lol!
