The Mom on Everybody Loves Raymond has passed, she was 90. I loved her on that show and catch reruns whenever I can. She will be missed.

I hadn't heard this before your posting. I always liked her. She lived a long life, hopefully well to the end.

My son is 25 and has been obsessed with that show since its been on. We still binge watch multiple episodes as a family. That is one show that has stood the test of time. She was brilliant as Marie.

I loved her as Mildred Krebs on Remington Steele, but I loved her even more as Marie Barone.
She will be missed.

I hadn't heard she had passed, she was a talented actress. Everybody Loves Raymond is my favourite, I rewatch it all the time. She is everything I didn't want in a mother in law, haha!

Oh, goodness! That show makes me laugh so often. Sometimes she is just like my MIL and sometimes I think I'm just like her. I remember one episode where Debra wanted a recipe & Marie gave it to her but changed one ingredient so Debra could never make the dish like she did. When Debra figured it out, Marie told her she did it because it made her feel special because her son loved when she cooked it. I could understand that emotion a little!
RIP Marie..

We live loved her! She was so much like my mother-in-law that it was scary. Plus my MILs name was Marie!
Great actress and equally great show.

Don't let a suitcase full of cheese become your big fork and spoon..... RIP Doris Roberts Oh, this is one of my favorite quotes. In my family we also talk about "Marie Barone-ing" a recipe, like she did when she was teaching Deborah to make meatballs. So sad, she was definitely one of my all time favorite characters.

She was a favorite! She will be missed! and the dad is gone too! So crazy! where does the time go? She's done a lot of stuff. She's also the grandma in Christmas Vacation. My other favorite Raymond episode is where she does the sculpture!

I loved her as Mildred Krebs on Remington Steele, but I loved her even more as Marie Barone. She will be missed. She was definitely the perfect MIL as Marie, but I might have loved her more as Mildred. RIP Doris.

I wanted to punch that woman in the face on a weekly basis. She was my MIL to a tee! Lol
My hubby and I would watch Everybody Loves Raymond and he just couldn't see how much his family resembled the Barones. So much alike, especially the nosy, passive-aggressive, never cut the cord MIL. Doris Roberts played her role well.
RIP

This just makes me terribly sad! She was fabulous on the show and her chemistry with "Frank" was so great. ELR is one of my favorite shows and I watch it every chance I get.
Some of my favorite episodes are the recipe one/sculpture one/the family photo one. I loved the one too where she exchanged the Christmas gifts.
She was great also in Mrs.Miracle Christmas movie.

Never did I love to hate a mother in law so much. She was the heart and soul of that show. Very gifted actresses. Makes me want to watch a couple episodes just because.

She was wonderful. I remember her from SOAP, Remington Steele... so many shows. I actually liked Raymond the least of her roles, though that was due the rest of the cast. I could never get into the show at all... she was the only decent part of it, imo. Read this article & you'll see she was SO much more than Marie Barone. Doris Roberts
