Thank you for the PSA. I was 5 when ET came out too and my parents took me. It gave me nightmares. I was so scared of aliens, it wasn't even funny. I was scared of the government guys who wanted to so tests on ET

I know someone taking their 5 year old today. Knowing that kid this is a terrible idea and I feel bad for everyone else stuck in that theater with them.

The evil tiger who is stalking Mowgli falls from a tree into the fire below. Not graphic but it's clear he dies. Here you go Skellinton .

My almost 10 year old and I loved it. However, I totally agree - not for younger children.

The Jungle Book - the animated one, was the first movie my parents ever took me to... I was so upset (sad not scared), after I saw it that I cried that whole night... They ended up taking me back the next night just to prove to me that it was a movie - "just like a play", and that they were only acting an playing pretend... I think I would have been a disaster at a movie with the type of CGI they're able to do now...lol

I'd love to see it but apparently taking ds5 to Zootopia a few weeks back scarred him. He's still scared about some of the parts of that movie. This is the kid who has watched all the Avengers, Iron Man and Transformers movies (yes, I'm one of *those* parents), there was something about Zootopia that really bothered him for some reason. When my 4 year old gs was asked how he liked Zootopia he said "It was a BAD movie!" When asked why, he said some of it was "really scary". I think it was that the good characters could suddenly turn bad "when their eyes turned color".

Not sure who here watches Grey's Anatomy, but I chat on Twitter with the parents of the original Sofia (Callie & Arizona's daughter). They got tix to a preview & took their oldest, and they were really glad they didn't take the twins. They said it would've been far too intense for them... they are 5.

I still don't like the Wizard of Oz when I was a kid I was scared of the witch, the wizard, the mean apple trees and those damned flying monkeys.

Just wanted to say that I saw this with my family (youngest is 16 so no worries there) last night and everyone loved it. It's a great remake of a classic.
