Sorry I couldn't find a thread.
Who watched? Avant Garde is my fave theme but I was pretty let down.
Ken deserved the win but he was the closest to avant garde. I loved Kini's concept but he could have done so much more with it! The pink was awful.
Sam should have gone. I think he must be sleeping with Issac. Seriously, the guy made a draped dress with organza overlay. Nothing about it was even remotely avant garde or even couture! It was a hot mess and also had nothing to do with his inpiration piece.
Ken had every right to be pissed.

I actually thought to myself that Isaac and Sam are most likely having a romance now! How that dress can be his favorite, but Emily's wasn't daring enough I will never know.
I agree that Ken deserved the win, but Dom is rocking it for me. Her mixing and matching of prints is excellent!!! Kini.....well he was my first pick, and I liked his look last night, but he isn't wowing me like usual! I loved his pink skirt!!
I agree with Ken being pissed. I'm also glad he called Sam out about all the cuteness keeping him here, and "I'm not talking about your clothes"! Spot on call out!

Love Dom - real life friends with her and she is the sweetest person. I wish Sam would go home, I'm tired of him. But they need him to have drama between him and Ken.

I'm over all of the whining between Kini, Sam, and Ken. All of them are arrogant and snotty, I'm sure some of it is manufactured, but it has really become off putting. I thought Dom's dress was gorgeous.

I thought it was so unfair that Emily went home. She is far more talented than Sam.

Sam should have gone. I think he must be sleeping with Issac. I have generally liked Isaac, but he is being really unprofessional this series with regard to Sam, the contestants can see it and so can we. It also makes me feel a bit sorry for Sam, it's not his fault that Isaac is behaving like a smitten schoolboy and it is impacting his friendships with the other contestants and his experience of the show as a whole. Sam is 23 so if he and Isaac want to have a relationship - good for them but *after* the show has wrapped for goodness sake!! It is just so obvious that Sam can do no wrong in his eyes and he could send down a hessian sack and Isaac would gush about it. I get why the other contestants as pissed off but they should be pissed off at the judges not Sam, he can't control what they say, sure he can flirt, but if the judges are doing their job properly then that shouldn't make the slightest difference. I agree that that Avant-garde aspect was disappointing although I did like Dom's look the best. I totally got what Emily was doing but agree that it should have been 'bigger' I was thinking that when she said it was a giant cable unravelling she should have had long rope trails and giant knots at the bottom of her dress. I didn't mind Kini's dress and thought it was a good reflection of the artwork he chose, but again it needed to be bigger or more colourful or something more. I have no idea how an owl in glass got Sam to the whole gay marriage dress his explanation made no sense and there was nithing over the top about his end look either. Sam definitely should have gone already unless there's some push to have a really young designer at the end. They are making a TV show for ratings, not a fashion show and I definitely think they keep that in mind when keeping or letting go certain types of designers and personalities, like keeping Ashley so they could have a plus size collection. It's a shame because overall I'm enjoying this series but the Isaac/Sam thing has had a bad impact and it gets more disruptive every week.

Dom's personality and enthusiasm make her a pleasure to watch. I loved her look, and thought it met the avant garde look challenge really well. She is my favorite! I really liked Emily, too, and didn't think she deserved to go. Ken is absolutely right about Sam's lack of design skills. It is ridiculous that he didn't go home weeks ago. And the situation with Isaac is disgusting to watch. I actually felt bad for Sam though. He hasn't been malicious, just talentless and clueless. This is the kind of nonsense that made Tim Gunn furious last season. Look at the design, judges, that's what the show is about!

I have generally liked Isaac, but he is being really unprofessional this series with regard to Sam, the contestants can see it and so can we. And the producers are starting to play it up. Anybody else notice how they made sure to include a quick shot of Sam smiling and waggling his fingers at Isaac? Feeding the fire, that. Also: Anybody notice that Emily announced upfront that she wouldn't make a garment with crazy-wide shoulders just to be avant garde, and then Alyssa said she would have liked the dress if it had crazy-wide shoulders? But Emily stuck to her guns even after being eliminated. I like her. I thought Ken was a shoo-in. I thought Sam's dress looked like what I used to make for my fashion dolls, a.k.a. "drape and tack." But the sniping between those boys is just tiresome. Because of that, I have some sympathy for Sam, but on the other hand, he has been mighty uncharitable about others in his interview comments. He needs a little humility injection.

FWIW, Dom and Ken are both only 26 to Sam's 24, so they are barely older then he is. Ken said at the beginning of the season that he didn't think Dom should be allowed to win because she already won "their season". I'm still rooting for her, she's the nicest person in real life and both times she has been on the show, has taken time to help someone struggling at the beginning of the season. She also just married her long time boyfriend this past weekend.

Dom is my favorite. I love her designs. She seems genuine and sweet. She was my favorite in her season, I'm rooting for her this season.
I liked Kini on his previous season. He's wearing me out this season. His attitude is craptastic.
I'm tired of the whole Sam thing. Didn't like him on Tims show, don't like him here. But on this weeks show he seemed to handle Ken's asshattery with surprising maturity. Issac is too obvious about adoring Sam it's getting super old. I agree that the contestants ought to be more angry at the judges. Ken's rant started out about Sam's attitude and designs, which is personal enough. But then Ken sunk into uncalled for name calling and mean spirited bitchyness. I thought Sam responded in a calm and mature way. I'm way older and I'd have wanted to punch Ken. I definitely would have used a few bitchy words back

I'm so glad Issac isn't a regular judge.
Sam knows that the judges favour him..how could he not. The flirting just fuels the fire I agree. So many of them on this season have had issue with Sam so there is obviously more to the story. I'm curious as to what.
I love Dom too. I think she is a master with combining patterns. She has a great career ahead no matter what.
I also forgot to mention how great Boy George looked and he was a pleasure to watch judge.

It seems the whole thing started when he was praised for Kini's design and didn't speak up. I really wonder what would have happened if he would have said that Kini made it.

The producers throwing the integrity of the show under the bus for a little manufactured drama is what. It's all fake. All the designers were in the workroom when Kini was sewing it. The editors and producers knew about it when it happened. Hello, film crew anyone? You can't tell me the judges didn't know. (not saying this to you specifically, imsirius, your sentence just triggered my thoughts. )
I've lost all respect for Isaac. What kind of design icon is he, anyway, besides QVC?
From the short preview of next week, it's pretty obvious that the drama continues.
Oh - and Alyssa still needs to wash her hair.

I just meant did something else happen they didn't show or off camera because every one of them seemed to hate Sam, except Emily.
