Haha!!! Best pea thread title! Totally thought it was going to be about something other than housework related.

People on my fb group im in are obsessed with this. They post pics all.day.long. of their dirty laundry in the bathtub soaking lol Laundry, Love, Science? They have some doozies there once in a while. I was "stripping" before it was even a thing... LOL I didn't even know that is what I was doing. I was just trying to remove the teenage boy funk out of clothes and bedding. I also have majorly nasty farm/ranch laundry. I use the hottest water possible and add some washing soda and Boraxo to it. I have started using Persil detergent also, and it really does a great job. I fill my washer part way with water and the detergent, soda, boraxo. I agitate it for a bit. Then I add my laundry and fill the rest of the way with hot water. I agitate it for several minutes, then open the lid and let it soak for a few hours. I go back and shut the lid and let it finish. I have an old school washer (after buying a top loader HE and HATING IT). So with the traditional machine, I can soak for several hours right in the machine. No need to make a mess using a bath tub and dragging dripply laundry though the house. My machine has a double rinse switch too- which is great.

I lurk there because that group is hardcore but it's interesting what you learn on there.

MsKnit - I use peroxide to get blood out of fabric. It's never bleached the fabric before, but check a small spot of the fabric first, to be sure. Thank you. I will try that.

Count me in as someone who has never heard of this stripping thing. I have managed to live nearly 68 years quite nicely without it. I don't ever see it happening in my house. There's nothing funky about my bedding. Might be different if I had pets using the bed, too.
