I am wondering do you have a type of man or woman you are attracted to to marry or to date or to dream about? I was thinking I have always had a type and I swore I would never date that type again. I didn't want the hassle of it. Yeah, that just doesn't go away. My saving grace is this one speaks English.

Nope I'm flexible. I tend to be more about the interior than the exterior. I've dated blondes, red heads, dark haired, no hair, every complexion under the sun, tall, short, older, younger, thin and heavy. So basically my only requirement physically is breathing.

I have always been attracted to large men with dark hair, dark eyes, and facial hair. I dated lots of different men though. My ex husband did not fit that profile. I am lucky as my current DH does. It's just luck that way, though.

Personality type is almost always the same for me. Exterior, I will always give a blond with blue eyes a second look. My dh is dark haired with green eyes, and ever so easy on the eyes.

As I said in the spouse height thread, I have always dated tall men. I just am not attracted to short men. My whole family is tall so I think it is just what I know.
Other than that, I don't really have a type. DH is dark, dark hair, dark eyes and the guy I dated before him was blond with blue eyes.

I used to have a type: tall, lean, skinny men, non-hairy. Glasses were a perk. I was never attracted to bulky guys. Now in the past few years, I seem to be enjoying bulky, hairy men--go figure! (By enjoying, I mean visually enjoying--I'm happily married!)
It may just be that when I was younger, the men my age were thinner, and now...LOL. None of us are thin!

my physical type for attractiveness has pretty much always been the same, as well-- thinner face, higher cheekbones, thin or longer nose, striking eyes. Orlando Bloom, Patrick Stewart, Timothy Olyphant, Stephen Colbert, Benedict Cumberbatch, Daniel Craig, Fred Astaire, etc.
To go along with the physical type, I like a dry sense of humor, intelligence, and a quick wit. (although sometimes my boyfriend irritates me with his wit and sense of humor-- I don't like when he gets the best of me, I guess-- lol!)
Even after 12 years together, my boyfriend still doesn't quite believe me when I tell him that certain men who 'society' calls attractive don't do a thing for me-- Matt Damon? he's okay, but he doesn't do it for me the way Patrick Stewart or Stephen Colbert does.

It's always been about the personality for me more than the looks. I prefer dark hair to blond and broad shoulders for the most part, but what really gets me is a good sense of humor. Good thing my dh has that in spades. He's even one of the few people that gets my obscure jokes.

I've dated other types than this, but a recurring theme among men I was interested in (and the one I married) is very tall, sandy or red-haired, smart and dorky. But I did date shorter men, dark-haired men, men of other races, and even some who weren't so bright.

It's just luck that way, though. Since high school, I liked guys just like you described...big guy, dark hair, eye color did not matter and facial hair was bonus. I can still picture that big chubby football playing guy who had the locker next to mine. DREAMY!! Who did I marry?? The skinniest man ever!! Years and medications have turned him into my slightly chubby guy. hahaa He still has a full head of hair but it is not all dark anymore, and he only has facial hair when he is being lazy for a few days. My 5'2" DD20 dated a kid in high school that was 6'4" with light hair and light eyes, then she dated a kid that was probably 5'3" with dark skin and hair. She took three years off from dating (sick with cancer) and now is seeing a guy who is medium build, medium hair color, medium brown eyes, average in every way on the outside but according to her, incredible on the inside!! hehe

Dark hair, not too groomed, a bit taller than me at least, big enough but not too obviously muscled....... although I'll make an exception for Daniel Craig on whichever of those criteria don't fit

I like a little rough around the edges but a teddy bear inside. Longer hair. Some facial hair ok but no full beard. Sam Elliot is my type. Or Richard Branson, since my dh has been compared to him.

Sure, I definitely have a physical type that I find most attractive. Tall (6' at the least), lean but strong build (swimmers' bodies ), carries himself with confidence but not cockiness, hair that's not blond, great eyes and smile. And yeah, everyone I dated fell into that general description, including DH.

I'm attracted to the Ben Affleck type. I love the 5 o'clock shadow look. For women, I also randomly think Jennifer Garner is cute. Then they had to go and get divorced. Hmph! Well that only means that they're both available again.

What I actually date / married has nothing to do with what I find physically attractive. I find intense rough around the edges men attractive, preferably dark hair, dark complexion and much bigger than me. Women I think attractive are usually voluptuous and dark haired. I think Monica Bellucci is one of the most beautiful women I've ever seen. My husband and I totally disagree on women's beauty. He thinks Jennifer Aniston is the ultimate. I think she looks average and a bit boring.

I find intelligent men very sexy, it's something in their eyes that gets me everytime. The husband is very smart and has a way of explaining things that I find irresistable Having said that I also have a penchant for tattooed rockers and bad boys.

I love a wicked smile - and dimples make my heels go round!
Dark, brooding men are very physically attractive to me - I'm just not sure I'd want to live with one. LOL
DH is tall and elegant-looking, with light hair and eyes.

Call me cliche...tall dark and handsome. I do like well-developed forearms, glasses are a plus! Did I just describe Superman???

I've always been more attracted to tall and light haired men.
The only real deal breaker for me physically is teeth though. The teeth don't need to be straight, but they need to be all there, clean, and non decaying. Otherwise I'm grossed out and couldn't kiss them.
Personality wise, I'm most attracted to someone who is smart enough to hold a decent conversation and isn't afraid to laugh at themseleves. Can't stand people who take themselves to seriously.

Not too tall, brown hair with a bit of curl to it, slender build, swimmer or cyclist's body. Amazing smile, very confident.
