Bought new shoes for my newly turned 11 year old daughter because she grows out of her shoes so quickly. They were 9 1/2s! I'm hoping she doesn't go past 10 because shoes will be harder to find.

I want to say I've been a 7.5 since I was 15/16. Maybe younger? I've also been my height since 16 so that's something.
My oldest is currently wearing the same size shoes as his dad. He's not done growing so I suspect he'll end up in 11s which isn't too hard to find in men's.

Well they stayed the same size for about 20 years -- from the time I was about 12 until I had my first baby. Then they went up a 1/2 size. Happened again after the 2nd baby. It's a good thing I didn't have 6 kids.

Mid 20s. I want to say 25 as I haven't changed between now and then. I still wear a size 6 in ladies but in European I wear a 37. I am not quite understanding that one.

I would say by early 20's. I was a 9-9.5 and then became a size 10. Some styles I still need a 9.5 but am pretty much a solid 10.
I had my first baby at 25 yrs of age but was a size 10 already.

I think go through a major growth spurt before puberty and the.mn slow down growth or stop all together. I've been a 6 since grade 6/7, so around 11/12 I stopped growing.

I've been an 8 or 8.5 since I was about 14 until age 38. Now I suddenly need a 9 (but my old shoes still fit) so I thought maybe shoe sizes had changed... Also I don't have wide feet but can't seem to find flip flops that fit my feet (shoes are too narrow).

I quit growing when I was 10 years old -- I hit 5 feet, 8 inches tall and had size 10 shoes.

I was an 8 in 6th grade and haven't grown since. I think feet usually stop growing a year before you reach your adult height - at least that's a ballet rumor - I have absolutely no data to back up. My daughter's feet seem to have stopped growing around 6 months or so ago (based on her pointe shoes we have to buy way too often) and she's still getting taller.

Either shoe sizes have changed or my feet are still growing. I'm 51. Zero pregnancies.

I just want to say I feel your pain. My 10-y.o. DD wears a women's 11.5. On the bright side, she's only gone up a half size from last year...

Size 10 from age 14 until pregnancy #3. It's a pain to find 11's that don't look like they belong on either strippers or grandmas.

I think the standard is that girls stop growing approximately 2 years after they first get their period. That was true for me - I've been 5'11 with a size 11 shoe since I was 13 years old. It's really not very hard to find size 11 shoes anymore - it was when I was a kid, but not now.

In grade 9 along with my height. But at about 60 they manage to grow a half size but since half sizes are more difficult to find in Canada I usually end up buying a size 9 now.
My feet were not affected by any of my three pregnancies.

I was in junior high when I reached a 7 1/2 and stopped there until I got pregnant. I grew half a size with each pregnancy and have been an 8 1/2 ever since!

Mine stopped growing at about 11. In those days it was very hard to find child-appropriate shoes in a size 8 1/2. Much easier now.

My feet stopped growing when I did, around age 12. But, when I was very fat, my feet actually increased 1/2 size and were wide. When I lost the weight they returned to their normal size.

My shoe sized stabilized in my mid-teens but then I gained a half size here and there during my late 20s and 30s. I wear a 9 now, but wore a 7.5 in my teens. I asked a shoe person about it and they asked about pregnancy. Nope. Never been pregnant. Just still growing. I don't think my feet are going to grow much more but you never know. I might be in a 10 by the time I'm 50. Cute shoes in a range of sizes are much easier to find these days - Zappos always has a wide range of sizes and free shipping both ways takes the pain out of not being able to try things on. Maybe you won't find many shoe options on the clearance racks of your local big box stores, but there are tons of cute shoes in larger sizes online. And here's the thing, it's like the weather. You can't control it, so you just have to deal with it as it comes. At age 11, yes, she probably will gain a size or so, especially if she didn't start puberty super-early. She might end up model tall to balance out her feet. Or not. Hopefully you can find a place to get shoes at a reasonable price while she goes through her growth spurt.
