GMA wanted to do a story about it and the speculation. I turned off the TV. I don't really care, nor will lose sleep over who she is singing about.
I think I can say that is true about all songs. I recall hearing that xx is who --- is singing about and my response was, "OK." (shrug)

I could rewrite your question as Do You Really Care About Beyonce and give you the same answer: No

The only interesting part of this particular story is that a good portion of Beyonce's fans are so bright that they have confused Rachel Roy with Rachel Ray and have been posting hate mail on Rachel Ray's cooking sites/pages. Because, ya know, Jay Z has a thing for middle-aged chefs. I guess the bonus is that Rachel Ray has had more free press than she may have had, ever!

Who's Beyonce? Ok, I don't live THAT far under my rock. But really, I don't care about her music, her husband, her life, etc.

No, I don't care. I'm trying to come up with a reason why I would care and I'm coming up empty handed.

Since I haven't even heard the song, nor do I really care to, I guess the answer would be NO

No, not really. I did start reading an online article about her, but one paragraph in I realized I just don't care.

Not one bit.
I did see her in concert years ago and was also able to meet her. I think it was just as Jay-Z was entering the picture. She was extremely nice and very friendly. She is tiny, tiny, tiny. I was surprised at how small she was. My cousin worked at L'Oreal at the time. From what my cousin has said though she has changed a LOT.

Not in the slightest. I don't even care if she pets her vagina in the video!

I couldn't care any less about who she's singing about.
I do think the songs, in general, are pretty interesting from a perspective of them being about her current husband - that's awkward. Pretty balls-y. But then I wonder if they really are even about their marriage or if the speculation is just really good for business and they (as a couple) are laughing all the way to the bank.

She needs to take a page from Carly Simon's book. It took like 30 years for her to breathe a word about who was "so vain".
I'm calling bullshit. I think he might have cheated, but I also think they seem like the type that will take anything and try to make a buck off of it.

Considering she's an attention whore on a Kardashian level, I don't really give a crap what she writes about or sings about or that she even exists. I don't understand why people flock to her or even like her music. Maybe if she didn't constantly try to get attention I'd give more than a fuck about her. As it is, I give less than a fuck about what she does except to wonder why anyone cares about her.

I think Rachel Ray ends up the winner here. She hasn't been on the general public's radar like this in a while.

I think people who are worried about this are missing the forest for the trees, so it speak, and it does not matter and was not the point.
I think Beyonce has put forth a stunning piece of art and social commentary. I admire the hell out of her because I think it would have been really easy to stay in the crossover "pop idol" mold, collected all the money, and let everyone love her. IMO, She's doing something more important than that - it's gaining her a ton of haters, but it's speaking deeply to a lot of people too. Team Beyonce. All the Way.

I love her music -- it makes up some of my favorite workout playlists. I didn't know she was married to JayZ (sp?) and I'm not interested in her celebrityness. I do love to hear the stories behind songs, so I can think about the song in a different way. But the hoopla has passed me by. I also turned off GMA at that point. Okay, I had to go get dressed then, but I still turned off the tv.

I don't care for engineered publicity stunts to support the albums and also those who are rushing to be "Becky" so they can get themselves some publicity as well.

How she doesn't feel like people pay enough attention to her? As much as that was sarcastic, I'm curious to actually know what you think she's making a comment on.

I don't know anyone who listens to Beyoncé or gives a rat's ass about her or her life. I don't understand the media hype around her at all. So, in summary, no, I don't care who her song is about.
