I got a package of lemons in the mail today, about 9 big fresh lemons and I have some ideas of how to use them, but I am looking for more.
Anyone have any DIY's or ideas how I can use 9 lemons in a interesting and compelling way?

Cut them into slices (I would slice them and then quarter them), put in ice cube trays, fill with water. Now you have lemony ice cubes for your water.
Also good for cleaning the garbage disposal.

Freeze what you cannot use --slice into wedges)

I love the Dead Aunt Cream Cheese cookies with lemon frosting. I add a bit of lemon zest to the cookie batter and the icing. I use more lemon juice than was called for because I love the tangy taste of it.
I have a lemon tree in the back yard and whenever I use lemons for anything, I cannot throw the peel away, even if they are yucky looking, they can still be used to clean your garbage disposal. With good lemon rind, I either zest it and dry it for use in baking down the road, or my favorite thing is to candy the peels. They are so good candied! If you can keep others out of the container, they are great to decorate cupcakes or lemon poppy seed muffins I have a recipe for lemon bread loaves that are more of a sweet cake with cream cheese chunks in it. I usually glaze the top and add some of the candy peel for decoration.
If you can't think of anything to do with the lemons, juice them, candy the peel, and freeze the juice in an ice cube tray for later.

My mom has a really good calorie friendly lemon cheesecake that I love (and I hate anything lemon other than lemom slice in water.
It's gooooood cheesecake!

I'd use the peels to make homemade limoncello, and then use the juice for something else (maybe some of suggestions here).

I like to take the juice from Meyer lemons and substitute it in my Key Lime Pie recipe. So good!

Lemon is my favourite. I swear I'd eat a shoe if it was lemon flavoured. hehe You've gotten a bunch of good ideas so I'll just say lemon curd or make preserved lemons which are awesome. Kat PS Or you can send them to me. That way you won't have to dirty your kitchen cooking lemon stuff or spend your precious time searching the internet for recipes. So I'll help you out cause I'm big-hearted like that. It's what peas do for one another, I got your back. PM for my address. Seriously I think your best bets are lemon curd, preserved lemons and freezing the juice/zest for future use.

Mmmmm lemons! I'd be very happy to have 9 lemons to play with. And because I'm lazy, I can't be bothered typing out my favorite recipes so I will just hook you up with another recent thread that had lots of good ideas: Lemons
One day I want to make my own preserved lemons, but I haven't got around to trying it yet. Have fun!

That just sounds good! It's pretty easy. Here's what i do... 3 lemons 8 cups cold water, or as needed 2 cups white sugar, or as needed Cut into slices about 1/4" thick and remove the pulp. Cut the rings in half so the peels are in long strips. Bring water and lemon peel to a boil in a small pan. Drain water, and repeat with fresh cold water. Repeat the boiling step three times. Drain and set peels aside. Combine 2 cups fresh water with 2 cups sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Reduce heat to low and stir in peels; simmer until the white pith is translucent. Store peels in syrup, refrigerated, to keep them soft, or allow them to dry. Toss dry candied peels in additional sugar and store airtight at room temperature.

I never did like this statement. It annoys me. Don't ask me why. But know what? Figuratively speaking, If I get handed lemons, lemonade isn't enough. I'm going to scrape off all the zest and squeeze out every drop of juice and make a lot of stuff. Lemon cookies. Lemon pie. Lemon water ice. Lemon cake. Some lemons I'll slice for garnish and lemon water and condiment purposes. And some will get cut into wedges and passed around so we all can taste them and make sour faces and wear silly lemon wedge grins. ? And lemonade. P.S. Don't bring me lemons. I won't actually do any of that stuff. "
