I made lamb stew. I was home all day and it's rainy so I am pretty pleased with myself.

I completely underestimated how many eggs we had and ended up with 2 dozen. So I'm making an asparagus, ham, and onion frittata for dinner tonight.

Weird day really. Sometime around 11, my boy texted me to tell me that he forgot that today he had a doctor's appointment to get a shot for something or another he has to have prior to going off in the fall to college. I vaguely remember a conversation where he told me that he HAD to have it blah blah blah and I politely suggested that as an almost adult he should go ahead and start being independent by making his darn appointment. Turned out, he did, but then forgot I had to be there. All that to say that I ate a really big salad for an early lunch (then sat around in the doctor's office for hours waiting the boy.) Side note: Want to know what makes a mother run fast as the wind? The RN telling the boy that he needs to strip down to his unders for the physical. I didn't want to be there in the first place, but that was enough to make me fly from the room. Back to topic at hand: Three hours at the doc's later, and a drive home that included every single inclinded road in town (apparently we have more hills than I thought) when I relearning how to drive a manual transmission, and I am eating ice cream for dinner.

My allergies are going nuts so we had spaghetti and meatballs. Easy Peasy.
