I can actually see this being quite useful in nursing homes and assisted living centers. NOT to measure before and after dumps, but to get a weight on a resident. Stepping up onto a scale is sometimes hard and they can lose their balance.

And ftr...No! I don't want one of those!

My DS would love this! And I could see my DD becoming a little obsessive about it if we had one!

I guess it's better than putting a bucket in the toilet, then removing the bucket, weighing it and subtracting the amount from your weight.

No, I would not buy that. But I do weigh before and after I pee, because I take high dosage diuretics and sometimes lose a pound or more when I pee.

I could see how it might be helpful in some cases. I think my hospital bed weighed me when I had DD, and that is kind of the same thing.
ETA: But no, I wouldn't want one.

Well, I can see someone who weighs themselves religiously being interested but other than that - weird.

I hadn't thought about the medical aspect, that makes sense.
Personally, I have no need to know how much my stuff weighs.

Unfortunately, they aren't in every facility. I worked at an assisted living center, so I can see why they didn't have them there, but they would have been helpful.

There are just some things I do not need to know about myself. The weight of my poop is one of them.

my family would love it. and i'll admit to weighing myself before and after, especially if we're on a diet, or have an idea that we're about to drop something noteworthy. it's created a kind of bragging rights situation at times among our household. seriously.. sometimes it's an impressive number!

Sometimes output has to be measured for medical reasons, as has been the case for my medically complex child, so that would be handy -- much more pleasant than the toilet insert lined with a trash bag we have to put on a scale to measure, then go through the process of disposing of a bag of waste as efficiently as possible.
But yeah, for the general public, kind of ridiculous. Unless . . . it was blue tooth and could connect with your fitbit automatically.
