Not me, but one of my sisters does it every single day - including laying in a hospital bed (posing no less). I think she is the huge reason I don't post. She uses all the filters, all the colors, blah blah BLAH.
And I'm very confused on why people want to have duck lips in photos!

I don't take or post selfies - although I do admit that maybe once or twice I have posted what you would call a selfie but it was me and a friend in the photo (not just me) - I took the photo of the two of us at some place (a concert or WDW)
I have a cousin that posts 2 or 3 selfies a day - each one is the same pose but she just has on a different color shirt every day. She is in her 40s so it isn't a teenager thing.

I never post selfies. But I do post a lot of pics of my kids. Mostly for my mom since she lives so far away. She steals them and prints them of her grand babies. :-)

I have never taken a selfie, so nope I don't post selfies on FB all the time I'm also too lazy to change my profile picture very often. Here and on Facebook. Ok, on Facebook I don't even have a profile picture

My profile is a group selfie from about 3 years ago. I guess it would be okay to change it?

One selfie every couple of weeks doesn't seem like a lot to me - like if I'm at an event or doing something. I don't just post random bathroom selfies or whatever. I live alone, I travel alone a lot - so I probably take more selfies than somebody who travels or lives with others. I don't know. Now if you mean those 'come hither, look at me, it's a good make up day, arms held over my head so my face looks skinny and you can see my cleavage' shot? No, I don't post those. Ever I have a few friends that do these that drive me CRAZY - one is selling Unique and one is selling something new (to me) Lipsence or something like that? So they post a TON of selfies on IG and FB showing off their 'product.' I have a friend that is also single and also travels a lot for work. She updates her profile picture or posts pictures of herself in different places often. I love looking at all the places she travels to and it makes me happy for her All that to say, the way you post makes complete sense to me

Yep, sure do! I figure if people don't want to see it, like you, they'll just scroll on by. Most of the time I'm doing it so I can change my profile pic because I like to change it up often...and many of my selfies include my dh or my kids or both!

I put selfies in 2 classes. 1) "Aren't I hot?!" usually taken in the bathroom mirror with duck lips/cleavage/flexed muscles and possibly inappropriate products in the shot and 2) Here I am doing something I enjoy, usually with others in the picture or scenic background. I'm all over option #2. Option #1 is just embarrassing for all involved.

Nope. I have a friend, in her 40s, who is constantly posting selfies as well as pictures of her food, her with a beer in hand, and that leg picture when sitting in the sun (you know which one I'm taking about). Yeah, I think she wants to be like her 17 yr old daughter.

I've never taken a selfie. Looking in the mirror is scary enough, I don't need to give anyone nightmares!
IMO .... I know what you look like, stop posting selfies. Post your accomplishments, I'm tired of your egotistical self! There are far more important things in life than your face! "You're so vain!"

Yeah it was the "I'm doing stuff" kind - but I know her and it's all about the "look at me look at me". I unfollowed her

I have never taken a selfie. I don't see that changing.
I have not changed my FB profile pic since I posted it years ago and I plan on pretty much keeping it forever since it's about the only pic of myself that I can stand.

At least once a week. I've worked very hard to look like the best version of myself. I'm proud to look like this. I'm done hiding away. If people don't like it, they can unfriend me. It's my facebook. just like I unfollowed someone who posted a pic of their kid on the potty. I don't need to see that, but it's their FB so whatever.

<---- My picture here is a selfie. I probably change mine once a month. I usually go back to this one- it appears to be my default selfie I take selfie's because if I didn't there wouldn't be any pictures of me except for Christmas. I live alone and I'm not really social. Sometimes I can get the kids to take a picture of me but I usually forget. I do have a bunch with me and one of the kids- I always look better when I'm with them. I know people that post several of them a day, usually taken from above so that you can see down their shirt. I'm going to try that angle next time and see how it works.

We went to a baseball game the other night and the gal in front of us was constantly on her phone texting, FBing, taking selfies of her alone, of her and her son, of her DH and son, etc, etc, etc. As we were leaving my DH asked "How many selfies can she take/post?. Did she even see the game? I'm glad you're here to watch the game and don't need to do all that girl stuff." She was making us crazy since we were sitting right behind her and every photo required fresh lip gloss, a brush through the hair, sunglasses up (or down), a juggle of the "girls", a pucker and an unnatural tilt of the head. ETA: to answer the OP's question...I rarely take selfies or change any of my avatar photos. It's too much work!

I have a friend who changes her profile with a new selfie three times a week, if not more. And they're all of her from a high angle (presumably to make her look thin) and they are also so heavily filtered, its hilarious. She's got to be in her mid to late 50s so it's very odd. I don't have a problem with people posting selfies, especially for a new profile pic. It just seems silly when you post the same type of photo every other day.

Even worse are selfies using Facetune. Seriously, I know your teeth aren't that white...so do all your friends.

I do, because i'm effing fabulous. Kidding, but I do post selfies semi-frequently. Usually because i'm laughing at something or doing something goofy and honestly, i'm in the business of having people remember me. We do a lot of events, and we have a 'who can post the douchiest selfie' ongoing contest in my group of best girlfriends. The douchier, the better...extra points for bathroom pics

Me? No. A neighbor friend that has become a beach body coach? Yes, at least twice per day (plus her life story, blah, blah about twice a week).
I guess SOMEBODY cares because her followers have grown to 14k people.

I was about to say that I have never posted a selfie on FB, but that I remembered that I actually did on Sunday night!! I was at the football and took a selfie and posted it, but I didn't make a duck face I promise! As far as I can remember it is the only time I've done it.

I have never taken a selfie, let alone posted one.
I am on a running site on fb. There is one woman, who, let's be honest, is not at all easy on the eye, who has to post sweaty red faced close up selfies of herself after every run. I have had to block her posts. Whilst I applaud her getting off her arse and taking up some exercise, I don't need to hear about every step she has taken, or contemplate the evidence.

Another one who has never taken a selfie and probably never will. It's not really a judgement thing against those who do; I'm just not the least bit interested.
My 20 something nieces do it several times a week. Without trying to be a dotty old aunt, I've cautioned them that not every single moment of their existence needs to be documented for the world. They aren't bothered in the least. It's largely generational.

I don't even do FB, but I just wanted to chime in how jealous of all the people who are good at taking flattering selfies. I've tried just to have pics of myself, and they always look so terrible.

Nope. I have friends that do. Almost 40 year old men and women! I think it's weird to constantly post selfies at that age.
