Did you know that a camera card in a little white case will fit perfectly in the recessed bottom of a Tim Hortons coffee cup?
I had the card in my pocket on Friday when I was heading to the crop. Printed some pix from it. I was printing from two different cards: Christmas 2015 to now is on a 16Mb card in the card reader and all of 2015 is on a 32Mb card which I keep in a little plastic case these things used to come in.
Today, I needed to print a couple of pix from Thanksgiving, so went looking for the cards. They were not in the pocket of the jacket I had been wearing on the weekend. Looked in the vehicle, and found the card reader with the 16bit card intact in one of the cup holders. No 32Mb card. I tore the car apart, looking between and under the seats: nothing. Well... lots of flotsam, but no camera card. GRRR...
Looked everywhere else I thought I could have conceivably put that card. Nada. Called WM photo centre who referred me to the Customer Service desk. Nothing. Looked in the car again. Still it didn't appear.
And then, something told me to go to the big garbage bin in the garage where I had tossed my last Timmy's cup from the weekend. And underneath, wedged perfectly in the recess at the bottom, inside its little white case, was my camera card!!! Thank God for husbands who never empty the trash unless nagged at.
They say raised heart rate is healthy. Guess I took care of THAT today! |

Wow, that was a close one! Glad you thought to look there! It was the only place I HADN'T looked, because the cup had come out of the vehicle just before I left home yesterday. I am just glad dh had not taken out the full garbage bag to the dumpster. I wanted that memory card, but don't think I would have gone dumpster diving for it. |

We found a card on the floor of a Wendy's full of Christmas photos a couple of years ago and in spite of our best efforts to make it go viral, we were never able to do so in order to return it to it's owner. Those things turn up missing quite easily.
