Good morning ladies!! The weekend is almost upon us!! We have a weekend with NO soccer...I'm so excited as I can't remember the last time we've had a completely free weekend. So far, so good on the rest of us being bug free. I was able to choke down a chicken tenderloin and half a baked potato last night for dinner but I'm still eating way less than I should be. I'm hoping by tomorrow I'll be able to eat a bit more. I put in a short walk yesterday even though the last thing I wanted to do was exercise. I was tired and felt very blah. Today I probably won't exercise because my girls have dentist appts this morning and then we're heading out to do grocery shopping, which will take a while. I hope you ladies have a great day!!

I am only new here so I hope it's ok to join you healthy peas! I have just recently gotten back on track with trying to make healthier food choices. When I am being not so good I tend to eat not so much through the day but make up for it at night when everyone has gone to bed and I can sit down and realise that I am HUNGRY!!! Of course my choices are not the best..... let's just say I have never met a chocolate that I didn't like. But in exactly 1 years time I am going on a 2week family holiday and I am determined to look good in photos. LOL!!!

brandy327, so thankful no one else has gotten the bug. I pray it stays that way. And how awesome to have a free weekend. That's the best! Welcome, countrychick. Glad to have you. Everyone here is very supportive! I took the big dogs to daycamp today so I plan on painting in my studio today. SO excited. The only bad part is that my walk did not get done. I don't take them when they go to camp because they play so hard and get so tired. Now I have to decide if I just want to walk alone or skip it today. I am pretty sure I will regret it if I skip but my studio is calling. LOL! No idea what is for dinner yet. Tomorrow is beef stew in the crock pot but today...I have no ideas. LOL! Enjoy the day girls!

Good morning! I have been off track this week due to being sick and stressed. Yesterday I ate horribly. Today will be better! About to get my workout in and have meals planned. I have salmon that needs to be used so we are having that tonight but I also plan to make the tortellini that someone posted yet other day. I also recently found this recipe and am going to try it this week. The serving size is large, but when I entered the calories it was quite a bit as well for that large of a portion. Hello everyone! I am hanging in there. I've been staying the same weight for about a month, but I have been seeing the scale go down the last two weeks (for a total of a pound and a half!) so I should be on top of the world, but I am still a bit frustrated, lol. I have been noticing that despite no scale weight loss, My clothing is fitting a lot better. I have been noticing muscles I didn't have before, so that is all good and I have been hanging in there with the activity and walking and using the bow flex. It all adds up but for me, SLOWLY!
Yesterday I cleaned out my closet. I've been setting things aside that are too big and the donation bag was full about a month ago but I went through everything again and found more to donate. It is scary for me to let go of clothing since it means I'm believing this is a permanent thing-- but I've done it several times already as I've changed sizes and it feels good to walk into my closet and know everything fits me!
I have been seeing white jeans everywhere this year-- and I just didn't think white is a good color for me -- I'm firmly in the black everything camp, lol. I bought two pair of cropped pants - one a light cream with some pink flowers and a pair of Kelly green! It is in the 40's here so I can't wear them, but I am so excited for it to warm up! I am excited to leave black behind for a while!

I have a half day at work today, DS has a doctors appointment an hour away so I probably won't get home in time to get on the treadmill tonight. I still need to do laundry, grocery store, pack before I leave for San Francisco tomorrow - YAY! I'm very nervous about keeping on track while I'm gone this weekend. I'm planning on making some snack bags for the drive and to keep in my hotel room. Hopefully that will keep me from going to crazy food wise.

I made a recipe for lettuce wraps from damndelicious the other day and everyone loved them. Very quick and easy, too. Let us know how they turned out.

Hey ladies - a quick check in from me! It's been crazy around here today...ds is finally feeling better but is refusing to eat much. I know he's scared of throwing up again so all he's eaten today is half a bagel and saltines. He wanted to go out and shoot some hoops but he came in after just a few mins and said that he couldn't run to shoot. I tried to explain to him that after 3 days of not eating much, he's weak. He doesn't really understand the correlation though. I'm hoping he's eating more tomorrow. Anyway, the girls went to the dentist this morning and then we left right after that to do grocery shopping. Only 2 stores this week so it went fairly quickly. Then after we were home and groceries were put away, I hands-and-knees-scrubbed the hard wood floor in the living room. The pieces are sealed individually but the floor as a whole isn't sealed...so dh was saying last night that he still smelled puke...so the only thing I could think of was that it was caught in between the boards. Sooooooooo, a scrubbing I did. And I mopped all the ceramic tile as well. And I've wiped every conceivable surface in some way, shape or form today. LOL And I'm PRAYING that this bug is gone now. I'm still not eating up to par...I just can't bring myself to. Breakfast was a Kind Bar, lunch was saltines, afternoon snack was a Nutrigrain bar and dinner was 2 oz of a pork chop and 1/2 baked potato. :/ Welcome countrychick !!! We're happy to have you here!!

I agree with you 100%! And I've seen the same results myself. Weight loss for me has been found in the kitchen...not in exercise.

AN brandy327 I'm hoping that's true because I despise cardio and don't do much of it. My body has changed with lifting and I enjoy it most days. I'm eating pretty good- I could cut out more fat. It's hard to cut fat and keep carbs down- gotta have my cheese!
I had a good day in the gym. My back is still giving me fits- I don't think my injection is going to work this time.
Those of you who do the Flatout pizzas- do you eat the whole thing? I have been, but I feel like a pig when I do! And plus I had strawberries and real whipped cream- more fat-I've got to stop with that stuff.

Focus on healthy fats--meat, olive and coconut oil , nuts and seeds, fish, higher fat dairy if you eat dairy.

alexa11 I eat the whole thing and sometimes two. Lol! Try it with pulled pork and BBQ sauce. So good! I was able to squeeze a short 2.8 mile run in before my son's game. I am "that mom" who drops her kid off for warm-ups, goes for a run, and comes back just as the game is starting. I get some seriously dirty looks, but my give a shit is broken. Dh is home from his travel. Thank goodness he is not on the road next week. There are so many appointments and such next week. I would never be able to survive without him home.
