Smartypants ~ Can you tell me what brand the clear-framed glasses are, and also where you found them? Very cute! Sure! They are both by Quay Australia (which I found out later is pronounced "key"). I bought the 1st pair off the Quay website, but Nordstrom is carrying the brand now which is where I got the 2nd pair.

I just got these glasses: I love them and get tons of compliments, but they are definitely statement glasses. I also got a new pair of aviators for the summer (not my photo):

I'm wearing Coach aviators now. I've probably been wearing them for a year or more, and they could have gone totally out of style without my notice.

I just had my eyes checked and I need 3 pair of glasses. I don't like any type of bifocal. I have tried and I cannot get used to them. So I need a pair of regular and sunglasses for my distance vision, and a pair of computer glasses for close up work. I don't mind switching glasses out.
After the exam, I went into the room where all the glasses were and just had a look around. I didn't pay any attention to which brand I was standing in front of, I just went from one side of the wall to the other and tried them on and compared them to my current glasses, which I really like. I could not believe it, but some how I seemed to pick the most expensive darned frames in the place. I am not a brand/status person at all, I just want some that look good on my face. I have to pay for all three pair myself, so I didn't buy any. I need to find some that look ok but don't break the bank. I will check out the link that AN mentioned.
Why is it that my insurance doesn't cover glasses at all? I think vision and hearing should be automatically included in all policies, but they didn't consult me.

I couldn't give 2 hoots what is "in", I go with what suits me. For some reason I find it difficult to find glasses and sunglasses to suit me, and I often have to buy kids frames. As DD tells me, I have a pin head! My SIL bought me these Guess sunglasses two Christmases ago, and they are the most perfectly shaped (for me) sunglasses I have ever owned!! Plus they are purple, my favorite colour, which adds to the "perfectness" of these glasses. I can't tell you how much I love them.

Suncloud AviatorsI have these in 3 colors (brown, gold/brown and the gray/black). Been wearing them for about 5 years. I have used the warranty twice for scratched lenses (lifetime!). I love them!! Amazon sells them too.
