My friend's DS is in a high school play that I am going to see tonight. What is a suitable gift? Iif he was a girl, I would bring flowers, but I'm not sure for a boy.
Thank you!

For my son, we made a bouquet of slim jims and beef jerky.

At our school musical, both boys and girls seemed to get flowers or candy. My girls aren't into flowers, they would prefer candy. And that beef jerky bouquet mentioned above would be a hit with my girls and their girl friends!

A boy would like flowers. If it is a popular play, you could get a trinket related to that play.

I purchased my nephew a box of nice chocolates. I have no idea either but he seemed to like them.

I'm a theatre mama. It's very common for boys to get flowers.

My high school boy was in a play and would not have appreciated the flowers more than the giant basket of goodies his aunt gave him! I got him a giant container of his favorite drink.

Here it's common to do a dollar bill rose or bouquet or a candy bar bouquet, depending on your budget, relationship.

How about buying a plastic popcorn box. They are often in the Target $ section. Fill it up with candy or other treats.

Thank you, everyone! I got him some balloons and attached a Starbucks card - well received!
It was a great show - it was The Little Mermaid. Friend's DS was Prince Eric and did a good job. The show was stolen by a boy playing Ursula. He was FABULOUS!! Very enjoyable.
