I was going to make meatloaf but dh said we should go out. Who am I to argue! BIL and SIL will be away for two Saturday's so we won't go out after church tomorrow. We're just going to our local place so I'll probably have grilled chicken on a Greek salad.

We're having pan-fried cube steak w/carmelized onions, sauteed mushrooms and maybe a bit of pan gravy, twice-baked potatoes, and green beans almondine. Maybe strawberries for dessert if DH picks some up. I'm hungry!

I'm doing something kinda odd & fun I do sometimes to break up our boring dinner routine. I'm making Mac and cheese, corn, and cantaloupe...all yellow/orange. Just happy it's Friday and I can hang out all weekend. Oh my, this brought back memories of Band Camp Meals - being a chaperone was fun but those meals . . . not that your meal sounds bad at all
Not sure about my dinner, DH is having left over pizza. I have to run to the store after work so maybe I'll find some thing yummy!

WE just finished cutting grass (our yard and the neighbors' yard). I cut the grass and DH weeds and edges. Too tired to prepare anything for dinner so.....sandwiches. My sandwich was a tomato sandwich made from a tomato from the garden. DH had some of the tomato on his sandwich (but I didn't share much). Now to start drinking - I cut the grass, I can have a drink !?!?!?!?

Just me at home for dinner tonight as 18yr old ds is at a birthday party for a friend, so really no clue when he'll be home but told me I was on my own for dinner. If I weren't so exhausted I might would have taken myself through a drive through, or done curbside at applebees, but exhausted it is.. So I am having fried potatoes and the last couple slices of bob evans sausage that needed cooked anyway.. I *might* cook an egg too we'll see.. not the healthiest in any way but.. exhausted. soo..

I live in Sac. El Dorado Hills is ine of my favorite places to spend time. Its so pretty and just a few minutes outside the city. ETA: I haven't even had breakfast yet. Dinner is on a far horizon. We like it up there too. Sometime in 2017-18 we'll be retiring up there. It will just take a bit of getting use to the hotter summers but that's what air conditioning is for. It does get hot, but it's a dry heat. Hahaha. You'll love your a/c. I finally decided on chicken and mashed spuds with corn. It was good but I still want something...
