I honestly have no idea what to serve tonight. Last night was going to be cauliflower pasta, but dh opted for leftover soup. So, I might make that tonight. I reserve the right to change my plan at any time.
What's on your menu?
Have a wonderful day everyone.

We have 4 leftover grilled ahi tuna steaks, I think I might attempt to transform them into tuna cakes. Not sure on the veggies, broccoli? kale? cauliflower? There's also leftover mashed potato which the boys can finish up.

Baked chicken, mashed potatoes and a green vegetable. Maybe some cantaloupe for dessert.

Add me to the list of those with no real plan for dinner. I've been trying to come up with something I feel like making, but that list is short. Very, very short. My family usually eats every vegetable I cook every night, but this past week they've been leaving a spoonful of this, two spoonfuls of that, etc., so, I think I'll combine them all and make a baked frittata/omelet. Not really sure what I'll serve with it. Good luck to the others with no plan!

With temperatures in the high 80s forecasted dh suggested ordering out for sandwiches. I called on my break and asked if we could have grilled chicken on salads. He took out a package of chicken tenders and I'll grill them when I get home.

I'm craving some kind of pasta but don't really feel like making sauce and there's none in the freezer. I'm slipping! Maybe pesto pasta and something besides salad. I dunno - I'll figure something out. But definitely fresh strawberries for dessert - DH is going to the strawberry patch today!

Trixie Bender - I DO have a plan, but I would like to stay. So I will say that MAYBE we will hit MCD's because there is a Girl Scout Bridging ceremony tonight. (but really, that is a for sure - I'm not cooking and there is not enough time for anything else)

"Cocktail" party after work. I'm bringing veggies and hummus and a package of gluten-free crackers, and a bottle of cheap red wine. So, that, plus whatever others bring that looks good and GF.

I'm a veggie-aholic, and I swear just about every single night is a fight to get my boys (almost 13 and 9) to eat their veggies. They think I'm a terrible Mom because I "force" them to eat vegetables at every meal.

Spaghetti carbonara and a salad (which both kids like), strawberries and blueberries for dessert (found some blueberries in the freezer, the ones we pick ourselves freeze so much better than the store-bought ones) and icecream.

I'm making egg rolls and garlic sesame noodles. DD is going to help so she can learn how to make this, her favorite meal.

Monday p.m., I ended up getting pizza. DS2 is camping with friends, so last night, the oldest ate leftover pizza. At midnight, I made chile pork verde and threw it in the crockpot to cook all night. It is delicious! DS1 is happy as he loves Mexican food. DS2 will be gone until Friday.

My East Coast sister is visiting so my mom is taking us all to my friend's Mexican place for dinner. I'm batting .1000 here!! No cooking, dinner out, at my favorite restaurant, and I don't even have to pay for it!!

I wanna have what you're having! My MIL gets her hair done once a month up by our house and tonight is the night so we are meeting her for dinner at Crqcker Barrel. They have a really good Cobb salad, so I'll have that.

The plan is now tacos. Oldest ds really wants tacos and I'm always happy to oblige someone who chooses the easiest thing in the house. I love that kid. Even if that plan changes I'm still staying on the thread. So, neener neener.

Meatloaf, green salad and fruit salad. (If you see a theme from me, yes I serve a fruit salad almost daily from May until October. We love our fruit!)

Can I stay, too, even though I almost always have a plan? Of course you can, silly! You too, scrappert! I am not the dinner plan police. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/TKS2q_7siLiFtq0xPQvx.jpg) It just struck me as funny that the posters before me had no set plans and neither did I. It's rare that I don't have at least some sort of plan. Most days, I have the whole thing planned, but if I have only parts of dinner planned, I fill in the blanks as I'm posting. And because I posted "we are having ______," by golly, that's what I put on the table! There has been more than once that I've added something to the table at the last minute and my family rolls their eyes when I tell them, "But I posted that I was serving this, and I have to!" calgal08, your children are young, so there's still hope! I have one that tried green beans at least 100 times and never liked them. Then, one day she tried them again, and they're now her favorite. Go figure. Oh, and I never said all of them eat vegetables. I have one that we have nicknamed "the earth-tone child". She eats nothing with color. She also has an extreme aversion to corn. Like, won't sit at the table if corn is present. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Ui47LhQw2NqWVWNNqtfM.jpg) She doesn't live at home, so if I know she'll be here, I try to not to include corn in my dinner plans. Don't want the poor thing to have corn nightmares, ya know.

I'm feeling yucky today ... kind of self-inflicted so don't feel sorry for me ... long story I won't get into I've decided to finally bake up that frozen Costco lasagna I keep mentioning ... easy peasy Dh will grill up some garlic toast on the BBQ to go along with it ... This is one of the few dinners that all four family members will actually eat

We had roast beef made in the crock pot along with potatoes, carrots, Brussel sprouts and Hawaiian Jalapeno rolls. It was so tender that it fell apart.

Costco roasted chicken. I have to say, I love all things Costco except for the roasted chicken. I get it when I need dinner in a desperate pinch and because DH likes it. we got one last night and tonight is leftovers. i don't know----- it just tastes slimy to me. is it possible for a chicken to be too juicy? well it just never tastes fully cooked to me.

I usually don't get mine from Costco, I grab one at Raleys since we live blocks away and I'm lazy. I love their rotisserie chickens. But, having said that, I never just cut it up into pieces for us to eat as that way I do find them a bit greasy. I take all the meat off the carcass to use in other recipes. That way I can eliminate any fat. Like I said a few days ago, there is no easier/better way to make chicken noodle soup. Once I started doing that rather than simmering my own chicken all three of us noticed a HUGE difference in taste.

I've done that in the past to make chicken salad for DH's lunch. but i just don't like eating it straight out of the container. i like El Pollo Loco or will go to Ralphs or Vons and get their roasted chicken. at least they are cooked more and not Chernobyl sized like Costco's.

Sausage, sauerkraut, and potatoes. Boring but I have just been so lazy lately that this is the best I could come up with.
