I love the original and like this a lot except 1) don't care for the shouty part near the end and 2) I couldn't stop trying to figure out if his chin rings were even. I think they are off center.  |

How cool  I can't seem to pull in the screenshot, but you can see it here and he said: In case you missed it, Disturbed did a wonderful rendition of "The Sound of Silence" on Conan this week. The S&G cover also appears on Disturbed's latest album, Immortalized.

The very first time I heard it, I looked at my husband and told him that I was going to play this song at his funeral. I know that sounds morbid, but it is just how our relationship works. We aren't planning each other's deaths but we know it will happen and want to be open about how we want things done.
This song is hauntingly beautiful and completely fits who he is.
We have so many friends who are metal fans and metal musicians and they absolutely hate it. I don't get the hate. I personally don't have feelings one way or the other about the original version, but Disturbed's version gives me chills every single time I hear it.

O....M....G...!!!! I LOVE it!! Thanks for sharing. I am a huge Simon & Garfunkel fan and I love the original, but this version is WOW!!!! I am going to buy it on iTunes for sure. This exactly. Bought it yesterday. Thanks. |
