Last night we ended up doing a fend night, because dh had a big lunch at work and was not hungry. Today I am serving dinner. Beyond knowing that it's dinner I am clueless. I'll figure it out as the day goes on. Gyoza and rice sound like a good idea. TBD.
What's on your menu?
Have a great Friday everyone. Many of us have a 3 day weekend. I hope you'll take time for yourself during that time and enjoy every second of it.

I'm grilling a porterhouse steak and we'll have baked potato and something else with it.
I know now you didn't ask but I'm having last night's pulled pork for lunch today. I had a big lunch yesterday and wasn't hungry last night. Dh bought this pre cooked "67th St BBQ" pulled pork at the grocery store and it's pretty good!
I'm curious, since we see mostly the same people here all the time...if you're comfortable sharing what part of the country/world you live in and how many people you're feeding most nights?
Dh and I live in Massachusetts and it's just the two of us. His sons are all in their 40s and married. My dd lives in Florida (she's almost 26) and my 21 year old ds lives about 35 minutes away from us with his dad.

Oven baked chicken with onion, spinach and feta cheese, with roasted potatoes. No dessert, but I'm considering making a rhubarb and custard pie tomorrow (the rhubarb in my garden looks so delicious!)

My appetite is still kaput so nothing sounds good to me I'm also looking for something that won't mess up the kitchen too much because I'm feeling under the weather ... sigh! At the moment I'm leaning toward chicken Caesar salad Dd#2 won't eat it so she'll be fending for herself

Not an exciting dinner, but I need to clean out the refrigerator, so we're having a mexican bean and rice salad on a bed of lettuce, whatever fruit it left in the refrigerator, and tortilla chips and salsa.

My menu says that I'm preparing cod roasted on a bed of Mediterranean vegetables with rice. So, I guess that's what I'll do.
I retired several years ago due to some health issues. DH changed jobs and couldn't handle cooking and commuting, so we consider that my job is to fix healthy meals. DH takes his lunch, so I also try to make enough dinner for leftovers. He loves them! (pretty lucky) We live in a small town in KY.

It's a miracle, tonight we don't have a single after school activity. Not a single one Tonight it's chicken tikka masala, garlic paratha and purple cauliflower. I think this week our CSA had a purple them - purple cauliflower, purple carrots, and purple-ish kale. My fridge looks so pretty. We're up in the mountains between Santa Cruz and Silicon Valley. I'm feeding 4 people, myself, dh, ds almost 13 and ds 9, plus 3 crazy-assed Vizslas

No idea but maybe I'll order pizza. I'll be on my own for the first time all week. Too many people in and out of my house! But my sisters are driving up to Portland with my newly-graduated niece to help her get moved out of her college apartment. The 7yo is flying up to Seattle tonight (yes, alone, and I'm not happy about it) to visit his mother. These visits usually go badly so I'm kind of anxious about that and so is my baby boy. To answer KelleeM's question, I live on the almost-rural edge of the San Francisco Bay Area and I feed anywhere from just me, to me and my 7yo grandson who lives with me approximately half-time, to us two plus my son (his dad), his GF and her two kids, my sister and BIL who live down the street, their kids when they're home from college, my mom and stepdad who live 20 minutes away, and sometimes I feed the neighbors, too, if there's enough extra.

We are going to pick up a Papa John's Family Special - DH gets The Works and I get pepperoni with green peppers (and I will share a piece with the 4 legged son).
We live in Metairie, LA (just outside of New Orleans). It is just DH and me living a nice retired life in the heat and humidity of the South. All children are grown and married - two along with their families live in Meridian, MS and one son and his family live in Mobile, AL. Have 7 grandkids and 2 great-grandkids now.

The girl (10 almost 11) has a friend sleeping over and she wants Pizza Hut. Not sure what SO and I will have yet.
There is just the 3 of us, live in Milwaukee in a nice quiet neighborhood. I do have a son (20 yrs old), but that is a work in progress - he lives with his dad and that would be a whole thread on it's own. But he is a great kid and little by little we are getting back to where we were 6 years ago.

The pasta salad thread got me hungry for pasta salad. I went to the grocery store and got all the fixin's for that. It is called Macy's Asian Chicken Pasta salad and it is delish. I have an ear of corn and may make some banana bars. I live in a major metropolitan area in the Midwest. I live alone as my husband passed away 2 years ago. I love to cook but don't get to cook for others often enough. You have all heard me whine about having to eat leftovers for days.

Soooo, since I don't know what is going on tonight I will tell you what I ended up making last night for dinner!
I grilled chicken low and slow on the grill and then smothered it with bbq.
I made an Asian salad with nappa cabbage, fried ramen noodles, and toasted almonds and sesame seeds.
I also made a Kahlua chocolate cake. The recipe I found on Pinterest.
Not too bad for not having a clue about dinner earlier in the day!!
I live in Alaska about an hour from Anchorage. I cook for myself, my husband and our 16 year old daughter. I also have two boys both in their 20's that wander over for dinner from time to time. They also bring friends and girlfriends.
The men in the family are hunters and fishermen, I cook a lot of moose and fish.

I feed myself and 2 DS, 15 and 17. We live west of Phoenix. Sometimes the ex is over as well - he will be here for the next two nights.
Tonight, oldest DS has a bday party. Younger ds will just be coming home from camping. Since neither of them ate green chile pork yet, that's what we are having. Per another thread, I bought the tortillas that you cook yourself. They are delicious!
Tomorrow night, oldest DS is having an end-of-the-year party with the requisite pizza. I will likely get a salad.
Last night, I took DS1 to a divey but very quaint Mexican restaurant. I loved it. It was not what he was used to, so he liked it but did not love it. Admittedly, it's super authentic - "street" food - and different than what we usually eat.

We're having the creamy chicken enchiladas and Mexican rice we were going to have last night. I forgot that an old childhood friend of my son's was going to be in town and had asked to stop by while he was here. Ooops!! Anyway, we delayed our dinner (he had already eaten) and had scrambled eggs and muffins after he left. But, we had a delightful visit catching up! ETA: I live in a small town in rural Frederick County, Maryland. I cook for just the hubs and me, except when the kiddos are visiting. Our kids (5 of his, 1 of mine) are all grown, some with families, and scattered 'round and about the country... Texas, Colorado, New Jersey, West Virginia, and South Carolina. One just moved to WVA from Arizona recently to help take care of her mom in WVA. We have 8 grands and 2 great-grands.

Since my BFF has to work on Memorial Day, we're having our cookout tonight at her house. I'm bringing berry trifle and mac and cheese. I make the mac and cheese with about 1/3 pepperjack cheese to give it some kick. Our DHs request this version every time we get together.
On normal days, I feed 4 of us - me, DH, DS15 and DD13. We live in Alabama, about halfway between Birmingham and Atlanta. It's a small town in the foothills of the Appalachians.

I'm thinking tacos. DH doesn't love them and DS does and since DH will be out-of-town tomorrow showing property, he won't have to eat leftovers for lunch.

Tonight will be hot dogs for my husband and what ever side he can pull from fridge or pantry. I'm making myself a spinach and fruit smoothie.
We live 25 miles south of Atlanta and it's just the two of us.

I just finished making a big pan of black bean and rice enchiladas, which I'll throw in the oven in an hour or so. I have fresh cantaloupe and a big container of fresh strawberries that I'll slice to go with them. It is mid 80's and muggy here, so very much like summer.
I live in mid-Michigan and usually cook for just my family, 3 or 4 depending on whether older DS is around.

Friday night free for all, and I have errands after work. I will probably bake a potato, and have it with left over country pork ribs from yesterday, and some green beans.
I live in "urban" Montana <snerk>, and cook for myself and my BF, and occasionally, the German Shepherd.

So I am having pasta salad. As for who I feed, it is mostly just me and the boy, and about half the time just me. I am in Central Florida.

Tuna and cheddar noodle casserole. It's been a crazy week and I am craving comfort food.
Usually I'm feeding only myself. My son visits often and we like to eat out together. I'm in the Sacramento Metro area if Northern CA.
