I don't understand. Are you talking about one big party with all these people coming? are different parties for each group? This does not sound like a party for a three year old but more of a sharing of cake and ice cream to celebrate the event.

I really don't understand what you mean by motorcycle and custom car club. Are you inviting people from those places or are you going to those places?
If you're inviting people from these clubs and you're having 49ish people round that doesn't sound like a party for a three year old to me.

3 year olds don't really need 50 people at a birthday party. General rule of thumb is 1 guest per year of age, YMMV. If you're having some kind of general party with 50 people, and pizza is not an option (which is typically the cheapest way to easily feed hoards of people), grill hotdogs and make pasta and call it a day. Use penne or other noodle-type pasta to keep it from being spaghetti-messy. If this is 50 3-year olds, first of all, you have my sympathy, and second of all, it's been ages but hot dogs probably are too much of a choking hazard for that age, so ignore that advice if this is birthday food for toddlers/preschoolers.

Can you explain a bit more what you mean. What does Motorcycle Club 16 mean? That's how many you're inviting from there, or you are taking 16 kids there? And then 'plus 25-30 guests'. Sorry, I know you said you're foggy today but so am I

I'm not sure about the guest list or why people are coming. But to answer your question, you could make egg salad sandwiches, chicken salad sandwiches and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the kids. (assuming those coming don't have a peanut allergy. I'd they do, sunbutter may be a better option. You can get the rolls from Costco (and they're amazing). You could also pick up a rotisserie chicken for chicken salad. Another option would be a potato bar with all of the fixings or a taco bar. I, too, would keep the number of people down. They don't call them threenagers for nothing. ? It's not uncommon fir them to have meltdowns especially with a break in their routine, eating more sugar than normal (at least hopefully, not getting presents too, etc. As a side note don't you have other children? It seems like you always post about him.

I also do not know what you mean by the motorcycle club and car club.
If the guest list is more than family I'd cut it to just family. A 3 year old is not going to remember this. I'd also not serve food/meal. Cake and beverages (coffee for adults, milk and juice for kids) sing happy birthday and be done with it.
Save the themed parties and destination parties with guests beyond families for the years he is old enough to remember the party.

Food for 25 guests at a 3 year old's birthday party is easy - cake and ice cream.
The rest of it I don't understand and have decided it's over the top and too much for a 3 year old.

I think the pain meds got the better part of your post.
If this means you're somehow going to include a car/motorcycle club in the party then I would say bad idea. Three year olds want to touch and explore. People with show cars generally don't appreciate lots of hands on their cars. It sounds like this is something you would enjoy more than a 3 yo.

How does it sound? Over the top and ridiculous. Motorcycles? Car Club? Who is that really for? The 3 year old or the parents? My money is on the parents... toddlers don't give a shit.
Cake. Ice cream. Maybe some fruit, chips and other munchies for the grown ups.
Backyard. Bubbles. Kiddie pool. Maybe some balloons to kick around.
Use the KISS rule... the kid's only 3 for pete's sake.

I hope you come back after your pain meds wear off cuz this makes absolutely no sense. And I love themed birthday parties even if they're just small family affairs but I'm confused as heck right now.

My girls have had there big party. biggest was 150 family and friends. Not each kid get a big party each years. Last year M had just family.

150!!! Was that an 18th or 21st? I wasn't brave enough to have ever had parties for anything like that number, even for the 'big' birthdays.
Are you planning to feed the bike/car people if they're only 'stopping by'?

How does it sound?
Wayyyy over the top. Maybe if you could arrange for the motorcycles to drive by perhaps with a small banner with his name or each holding a small flag of his favorite color, ok. Or have *1* car or motorcycle come over but that number is insane.
And 150 party guests for a birthday?!?!?!? Totally ridiculous and expensive.

It's not what I would do either, but I'm pretty sure her question was how to feed a crowd inexpensively. I must have missed the part where she asked us to pass judgement on her party plans.
My advice on the food is a taco bar. Everything can be prepared ahead of time and none of it is very pricey.

Make it a cake and ice cream party.

So you're looking to feed about 50 people inexpensively? How many kids? Adults? I could consider 2 four foot heroes, pizzas (some cut into 16 slices for the kids), a tray of salad and fruit salad. I would get sheet cake or probably 1/2 a sheet cake would be plenty...it's probably less expensive than individual cupcakes.

I would guess pizza or just nibbles....so potato chips, fruit and veg cut up, dip etc.

How many 3 year Olds are you planning for? As long as each has an adult to help them, they can have taco salad, or nachos with crushed chips. A pasta bar would be easy as well. Have 2 or 3 types of pasta, and 2 or 3 sauces, garlic bread, and a green salad.

What time is the party that will tell us more about what kind of food you need to serve. Can't do just cake and ice cream at noon, would seem silly to do a taco bar at 2pm.

most of the groups will be here about 30 minutes then they will leave. The one with young kids may stay. I would like to have food on had for them since we are not paying them to be here.
no the big party was for my step daughter she asked for a grown up princess type party at 15. So we had a big winter wonder land party for her. This year is M's big party and the girls have picked to get the room redone. The are asking for a spa type party next year. I will be working on that at the first of the year. Next year it will just be a friends party for him .
M only has a few thing he loves paw patrol and cars. When he see a older are custom car bike he has the biggest smile and is clapping and just happy. He love drag racing and stuff like that. He will get to go for a ride in a couple of the cars with daddy

If most of the groups will only be there 30 minutes, I would only have snacks type food for them. How many will be there longer, what are the ages, and what time is the party? That info will help to give better ideas.
ETA...we were posting at the same time...

Last year M had just family. I'll warn you that while toddlers may like the looks of the cars and motorcycles, they might freak (screaming crying) at the sounds. My DH and I ride. We drive down my bosses street, they were outside with their toddler son, who loved the bike and even sat on it. It was not being accelerated while he was there--we coasted in and stopped. A week later same toddler was at work with us, we were outside having lunch and a motorcycle was coming up to a stop sign--toddler was okay, but as soon as the rider accelerated forward, the sound was so loud it terrified his son, shook him to his core and he flew off of his seat, screaming and crying and months later he is still terrified of them.

Tacos are pretty messy for little kids. If you can grill, I would do mini burgers on the grill on those small round dinner rolls for the kids and regular burgers or brats for the adults. Get a couple tubs of potato salad and some big bags of chips from Costco and maybe a bowl of cut up fruit. Or if you really want to go inexpensive, just hold the party between meals and serve cake and punch for everybody.
When our kid was younger, her parties were more for us than for her. Our friends are her extended family and we invited pretty much everybody. We would have crowds of maybe 35 people for her birthdays so we would just host a BBQ at home. Now that she's a little older it's getting easier. This year we hosted her party at a venue and just invited some of her school friends. Two hours and done, everybody goes home and I didn't have to cook or clean.
ETA: I see your party is in the afternoon, so I would go with cake and punch plus maybe some other small non-messy snacks like chips, pretzels, etc.

I think instead of doing a cake I would cupcakes for that large of a group. Less time cutting squares and you can order just what you need.
I would buy a cheap kiddy pool fill with ice and toss in bottle water and soda for kids and adults.
I would get grill up a bunch of hot dogs before the party starts and toss in a crock pot to keep them warm. Get buns, mustard and ketchup for them and let people have hot dogs.
Some fruit is fairly cheap now so I would maybe make some mini fruit kebobs. I wouldn't do full size because it may get too heavy for kids to hold and fruit would be on ground.
