Sure! I THINK they used to use sketches from the Scrapbook Generation kit club and post pictures of what they came up with. I say think because I only stopped by a few times before the thread was removed. I know that Scrapbook Generation releases free sketches, and there are other places to get sketches online. I think the whole point was to see different interpretations of a sketch. It looked like a lot of fun with some scrappy motivation )which I defenitely need .

I'm interested. I believe someone from SG made a post on here re: 8x10 photos.

Here it is (sorry, not sure how to quote from one thread to another):
Jul 28, 2014 6:39:21 GMT -10 rush2scrap said: We have a travel sketch book that addresses this issue! Several of the 30 sketches feature 8x10 (and 10x8) photo spots, with the added advantage that the 8x10 photos also have a grid that shows you can use four 4x5 or 5x4 in that place instead.
Here's a link if you are interested. The book is available as a print copy or as an e-book: Sketches For Scrapbooking: Travel Sketches

I think monster threads are a bad idea because fairy pod mother has said that we have limited free storage.

So maybe a monthly thread; one that gets deleted at the end of the month so we can start a new thread.

I'm here! I think we ended up with about 96 pages before the thread got deleted. The thread was the reason our Super Sketch Club exploded, which in turn allowed us to really grow as a business, and expand into a full-service online store in January. Leslie (justalittletike) started the thread, and we got to know each other because of it. She visited us on a road trip through our area, and it was so nice to meet her in person. I think you're right about the big threads taking up too much room on a site like this. For those who mentioned liking to see different takes on the same sketch, you might check out the readers gallery in each of the first seven issues of CREATE. Each issue features single-layout, double-layout, card and tag sketches and people's take on them.

Is there a way to download CREATE into iBooks? I've done that with other pdfs, but can't figure out how to do it with CREATE (if it's even possible).

I'm not sure about that. I just read it on my computer or iPad. Maybe someone will know the answer. If not, I'll see if my daughter Stacey can help on Monday when we are back at the store.

Thank you for the Create link. I always like seeing how sketches are interpreted by different scrapbookers.

Thanks, Debbie. I actually have iBooks on my iPad. If there's a different way to download it to the iPad, I'm open to that.

Is there a way to download CREATE into iBooks? I've done that with other pdfs, but can't figure out how to do it with CREATE (if it's even possible). To download it into iBooks, just click on the issue you want. Then, in the top right corner, there is a < symbol with dots on the ends. Tap that, then a drop down menu will appear, choose download. Once it's done downloading, it will give you the option to view in iBooks. There are other viewing options, but I don't know what they are, because I just used iBooks. It worked fine for me, so just let me know if you have any problems.

Yes, thanks so much for the download help! I know there have been times that people have had trouble downloading because some of the issues are pretty large, so I'm glad you have success!
Also glad to hear the sketch books (and kits) get good reviews. I mentioned on another thread that Allison and I are working on a new book -- Christmas sketches -- 24 double-page sketches with layout samples. We're also working on a Christmas card and tag sketch book. Both should be ready in early October.

I have customized the kit I want to get every month from SG. I just have to push the button and wait for DSO to put me on his credit card. (God help him when he does that!)
I am getting the Hall of Fame kit, the Main kit and the embellishment add on. I think it came to $48 plus shipping. I can't wait!!

No problem. I sometimes have difficulty with some techy elements, so I try to help out where I can. I just started reading though Create, Vol. 1 and I just want to say, wow! It's really great, honestly. I'm more of a "real" magazine person, but having it on my iPad an at the tip of my fingers makes me question that mentality. The magazine itself is just awesome. There is so much content and it makes me happy to have a go-to scrappy magazine again. I'm having a pretty poopy day, and getting lost in Create magazine has made this poopy day just a bit better. Thanks!
