I have posted here before that my youngest son did not sleep thru the night until he was 21 months old. He would wake up screaming 1 - 2 times a night, everynight. I was the one that got up with him 98% of the time. When he was old enough we tried crying it out etc.
This gave me the worse anxiety and then I would get anxiety going to bed. I would also wake up in the morning with heart palpitations. This lasted for a long time and I still occasionally have something that happens that triggers it. I hate it. He is 6 years old now.
With the screaming and then some other things that happened with my delivery, him being in the nicu and some other things that happened, my friend was telling me that it is no wonder I have the panic attacks and anxiety that I do. It is a type of postpartum post traumatic syndrome.

If hubby wakes me up, I am usually grumpy. It takes a long time for me to fall asleep. If I'm sleeping, let me sleep Even if I fall asleep on the couch, he now knows better and leaves me there. I will go to bed whenever I wake up.
