Good morning ladies! Happy weekend!! Up early again this morning as we're heading out for the last soccer game of the season! Then dh and I are off on an afternoon by ourselves to celebrate our anniversary tomorrow! Hard to believe that we've been married 17 years and together 19! I'm up just a smidgen from Monday's weigh in and I'm sure after our dinner out tonight, it's not going to be much better come Monday. But I'm not sweating it! The long haul...that's what I'm in it for! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Keep up the hard work girls!!

I'm back, hopefully in the swing of things, after a super long trip. Weigh in this morning, then aqua fit, then giving blood. Supposedly giving blood burns calories since your body has to regenerate the blood, haha!
This is my big once a month meals cooking weekend. I have all the groceries and recipes to make about 28 dinners (14 doubled). Likely will last us to the end of July with travel and other things factored in. It is a ton of work but soooooo worth it. I bought all my groceries using Walmart online grocery and pickup. AMAZING. Your order online (took me maybe 15 mins), show up in a one hour window you select, pull into a designated parking spot, and they load them in the car for you. I never even got out. I was very pleased with the produce and meat they picked. That is the way to do it for these big cooking weekends. No extra cost.

I'm home resting after a little outpatient surgery on Thursday. I just feel a little sore and have no appetite. The doctor wants me up and moving so I will get out later and walk down to my garden. Keeping hydrated, reading, and Peaing for now.

I have already walked one of the dogs, and I need to run to Wal-mart. Better get going before it gets too crowded. I don't like the crowds. It's also going to be really hot this weekend so I want to be in the A/C. Enjoy the weekend girls!

Happy Anniversary brandy327! Sounds like everyone has a busy day. I am doing laundry and some weeding this morning. I need to get out there soon. It is supposed to be HOT today! It is a rest day for me. I ate over my calories yesterday. Which isn't a big deal, I just need to eat mindfully today. Dh was home from a trip and we decided to go out as a family for lunch at a new 50's diner. I had a few onion rings and chicken salad on Texas toast. Then we hit Dairy Queen. It was yummy, but it was very rich!

tuesdaysgone, listen to your body and don't overdo it! Hopefully all heals well. AN I gave blood recently and was shocked by how wiped out I was after. Take it easy. I felt good the next morning and ran 5 miles. Not a good idea. I paid for it for days.

Happy anniversary to brandy327! We just had our 23rd. Speedy recovery to you, tuesdaysgone. I stepped on the scale this morning and saw the number I saw before we left on our 2 week long anniversary vacation. Now back to working on the next goal which is 10% of my body weight gone. Obviously need to revise my original plan and I hope to lose that last 1.5 lbs this month. It may be a bit lofty as I think I have settled down to my usual 1.5 to 2 lbs per month rate. Trying to set a reasonable goal for October, my 30th college reunion.

Morning! Feeling SO much better today. Scale is down a chunk but that's expected. I probably ate less than one day's worth of calories in two days. DD's home with me for the weekend--today is her dance recital and she's getting this 5 year trophy she's been talking about for the last 3 years. She's more nervous for the trophy than for the dancing! The she'll be back with her dad for another week. He gets 2 sets of 2 weeks every summer. tuesdaysgone I hope you feel better. Good Morning - I had my 10,000 steps before 9am this morning! I ran 3 miles then mowed the lawn. DS had CPR training today so I told him I would do the lawn for him. After all that I went back to bed and took about an hour nap. What a weird day! DH and I are heading to our friends house tonight. I would like to say I will keep tracking and stay within my points but it probably won't happen. They are amazing hosts and always have the best food and drinks. brandy327 - Happy Anniversay! I am curious to try it, but with 5 of us, I don't know if I'd have the freezer space for it all. You deserve it. melissa Yay! Glad to hear you're back down. I have the 10% goal in mind too. We'll get there! Today I had my weigh in and I'm FINALLY down 20 lbs...20.6 down to be exact! Yay! Went and saw some of my boys' baseball game this morning. Unfortunately, they lost so they'll have their final play-off game Monday night and then we can focus on swim team. It never ends! Tomorrow we're going to a Gala put on by dd's dance studio. She'll be in three pieces--Jazz, Modern, and ballet. I'm excited to see what the dances are-she's thrilled with the choreography. There will be an open bar and apps/dinner served so I plan to eat lightly before we go and not over do it. I want to hit my 25lbs down sooner than later. After a week and a half my foot FINALLY doesn't feel so tender and bruised. Once it cools down, I'm going to get my walk in. My new Fitbit came in! Can't wait to take it for a test walk! OHHHHH! And I had an NSV. As I was getting dressed for my WW meeting, I went into my closet and pulled out a skirt I haven't worn in about 3 years. Not only did it fit, it's actually BIG in the waist!!!!! What!!!! I'm going to be wearing the HECK out of all the skirts in my closet I haven't been able to wear in years this summer! Wahoo!

TankTop on Wednesday we did a lunch potluck. One of our teammates had the virus over the weekend, and unbeknownst to us his side of the family was getting hit. His mom made us deviled eggs and as we finished lunch she called to tell him she was vomiting (she watches his son during the day). If it was the eggs themselves we all would have been sick a lot sooner. Having a fever after the worst was past is what makes me think it was just the virus.

Hey ladies!! I'm SOOOO happy to hear so many good things today!!! AN - Good luck with all that food prep! My food prep this weekend will be slacking in a HUGE way because of all the end of the school year/upcoming soccer banquet stuff going on. I absolutely cannot wait until June 18th when EVERYTHING is done and I can get back into a routine! tuesdaysgone - Definitely take it slow with your recovery!! Hope you heal up quickly! Patter - I don't think I can give blood. I tried to be tested to be a donor for a friend who was having a bone marrow transplant and literally cried when they told me I couldn't even be tested because I have an autoimmune disease. I've always just assumed that since I can't do that, I also can't give blood. TankTop - We had Dairy Queen today too. YUM!! melissa - YAY for being back to your pre-vacation weight!! Re-evaluating goals is something I do frequently! I want my goals to be realistic and sometimes I overestimate what I think I'll be able to do. littlefish - I'm SO glad you're feeling better! So our anniversary dinner was great! We went really low key and tried a new pizza place. We LOVE pizza and really stay away from it as much as possible. Tonight we ordered a large steak pizza with mushrooms, onions and pepper. And loaded baked potato fries. I tracked EVERYTHING, only ate 1.5 slices of pizza and 1/2 the fries. Less than 2000 calories for the day - so definitely a splurge but one I think I handled pretty well. Oh and I also had a Dairy Queen brownie thing that was 470 calories of complete and utter decadence. I didn't eat all of it (my dh polished it off for me) but it was SO good.

It's my youngest daughter's birthday weekend. Last night she had a sleepover with her best friend. Today her sisters and I celebrated with her. We saw Alice through the Looking Glass, went to Red Robin for dinner, and then shopping. I got her a new bike, helmet, and safety pads. Tomorrow is her birthday. We're having family over after church.
I went to the gym after we got home. Chest,triceps, abs, and cardio. It was a strong day. I pressed 45# dumbbells, and did 90# straight bar push downs.

Realized I haven't checked in here in a while and my lack of recent weight loss shows it. I have not lost a single pound since Memorial Day. I truly think I'm not going to get any farther in the summer and if I just maintain this weight I can pick it back up in the fall and it will be ok. We've had really high temperatures already and I do not do well in the heat. It just sucks all of my energy out and makes me feel like crap. Tomorrow isn't supposed to be too hot so I am going to try to take a walk early in the morning. We'll see.

Hi everybody! Happy Anniversary brandy327! Yesterday wasn't the greatest eating wise. I had some maid of honor duties which included a nice lunch and wedding cake testing. But it was a fun day and I've no regrets. The cakes were good! Today I woke up early and headed for the gym. Had a great leg day. Jogged, used some machines and did some jumping squads I learned from FitnessBlender. Walking might be difficult tomorrow. I remembered all those threads about gym and locker room etiquette today when I walked in to the locker room. There was woman, completely naked, leisurely putting a lotion on. Here it is completely normal and actually happens quite a lot. Probably not so much in the US?

Dh made a blender full last night. I told him I thought he was just trying to get me drunk so he could take advantage of me. We ended up going for a looooooong walk. He said I had a good time. Lol! Did you know Jose Cuervo makes a light margarita mix? Yeah, me either.
Have I ever told you I don't normally drink? Maybe 1-2 cocktails every 6 months or so? I had been craving a drink all week, just didn't expect to get tipsy. Lol!

TankTop I'm like you--I have a drink maybe 2x/year. I'm such a lightweight! Got all my food prep for breakfasts, lunches, and snacks for me done. Got the kids' snacks done, so I'm OFFICIALLY DONE PREPPING FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR! Next week kids only go for a half day on Monday and I have a Professional Day on the Tuesday. They don't usually make us come in and leave at regular time--a lot more "loose", so I'll just pack something for me next week. I'm about to hit the shower--dd has her jazz/modern/ballet "expo" today. The studio is having a Gala and the kids are all performing at least 1 piece, up to 4. She's so excited to have me see the dances, but in all honesty, I'm feeling very anxious about going. I'll be ok, but I keep getting a panicky feeling in the pit of my stomach. I actually had to take my Ambien last night 'cause I kept flipping out about it. I'll be ok once I'm there, but I'm hoping it goes quickly! This week will be nice--week off from dance for dd and the boys have one play-off game tomorrow. Other than that, our week is pretty low-key. Just swim practice that the boys can get to by themselves. Other than that, I need to grade my exams and count down the days 'til summer--5.5 and counting!

Happy anniversary brandy327! Have fun! I haven't been on much in the last few days but am hanging in there. I had the garage sale Thursday and part of Friday morning. Our town had a festival this weekend so we went to that Friday night and parade yesterday morning. Then yesterday afternoon we went swimming. Came back and worked on getting the garage sale stuff packed up. I have had a cold and am feeling much worse. Last night I felt feverish, nauseous and had a headache. Today so far I just feel like I have a bad cold. I have a lot to do today to get the house and garage cleaned up. Wish me luck!

Good morning everyone. I don't post to these threads much but read them every day for inspiration and motivation. It is HUMID this morning so my walk with the dogs was very sticky. We're hitting the Y as a family this afternoon - oldest DD wants to try their barre class, DH plans to get in a swim, and younger DD and I will probably do some time on the elliptical and then some bodyweight exercises like lunges and pushups before getting in the pool ourselves. Poor sweet younger DD has asked for help in losing some weight. She is 13 and has put on about 15 lbs this past year (she's always been a little thicker than the other girls but it's gotten worse this year) and is suddenly so sad about it. I have never pushed her or said anything to her other than encouraging healthy choices and activity, and she has generally not been bothered by her weight. But if she wants help, I will help her. I'm going to make an appointment with the doctor for her so we can make sure she is getting all the nutrients she needs and is losing in a healthy way, but for now, we're just redoubling our efforts with healthy choices/portion control, and trying to get out and moving most days of the week. We've all really been enjoying our green smoothies this summer. I've been gradually increasing the amount of "green" in them and have completely stopped putting in any kind of sweetener. I'm also careful about choosing fruits that are lower in sugar and going easy on them. This morning's smoothie was fresh peach, fresh blackberry and a big double handful of spinach, blended up with ice and water. Very tasty.

Morning. Quiet here this morning...lots of snuggles with DD before she leaves this afternoon and quietly following the news. I've lived outside Orlando for almost 11 years and my heart just hurts for all the lives lost. Can't get into the gym for my full lifting session today but I'll go in and row or something--I haven't had 3 full rest days in a row in ages and I'm finally feeling well enough I'm getting twitchy! Appetite isn't 100% but overall I'm feeling ok. TankTop I have maybe two drinks a year...I'm a lightweight too!

I never respond to this thread but am going to try and stay involved... As I prepared to use my 10k running program yesterday the message said 'if you don't make time to exercise now prepare to make time for illness tomorrow'. I try to keep this in mind when I am pressed for time...something is better then nothing. I just returned from vacation where I ate, drank and was merry. I am not gettin on the scale as I don't want to get depressed. I am however right back into my program. On vacation we walked at least 5 miles everyday...and were generally active. One thing I did notice which was a motivating do me and motivates me year round is seeing those who have difficulty with what I consider the basic function of walking. Please don't read that as I am dogging anyone but seeing multiple people who don't appear to be elderly or sickly (yes I know you cannot always tell) having difficulty walking a short distance propels me to keep up my workout program. I am almost 52 and hearing my friend ask 'why bother' or 'what difference does a it make' all while struggling next to me to walk 100 feet while puffing on her smoking box mod leave as me shaking my head in sadness. Have a great workout week

LOL I'm a lightweight when it comes to drinking and have a drink maybe once or twice a year!! LOL

I was overweight from the time I was a toddler and by the time I hit later elementary school I was well aware that I was bigger than most other kids my age. While we were getting ready for my grandmother's funeral (I was 8yo), my Aunt told me I should lose the weight as a kid because it was awful to lose it as an adult...and ended it with, you don't want to be fat all your life right?! My mom was standing right there and didn't say a word. It was that point that I REALLY noticed my weight. I love that you're going to take her to the doctor and going to help her in losing it the right way. Lots of prayers for you both!!

Thanks for all the anniversary good wishes!! I love you gals!! I shared this on IG and FB today...2 pics from our wedding and then 2 recent pics (the bottom, right is from yesterday) Dh and I decided to go out for breakfast this morning since we didn't have the kids and we went cheap last night for our dinner out. LOL I logged every damned bite and about had a heart attack when it came out to 819 calories. But no lunch for me since I wasn't hungry and I've kept moving all day. This weekend is almost over and tomorrow I go RIGHT back to eating good. *sigh* Except for Tuesday when we promised to take the girls out after their 5th grade celebration. There's nothing healthy on the menu we need to choose from so I'll just watch portion control and hope for the best. I am SO tired. Between Friday and today, I've scooped out no less than 400 cookies for the soccer banquet on Friday. Originally, we were banking on 100 people coming to the banquet. Last count we were 175, so what should've only been a couple of hundred cookies, doubled. And we've added brownies that I need to bake on Thursday along with all the cookies. It's going to be a VERY long week. I'm a little worried about my working out schedule this week. I REALLY, REALLY need to just make time to do it. But this week is SO busy...and by the mid-afternoon/early evening, I'm tired. But I don't want to get out of the habit so I'm going to try to force myself to find time.

This is the last 2 weeks before I go on vacation and I'm hoping to drop a couple more pounds before then. I had a baby shower this morning for a good friend and I was very good. I had very small portions of the eggs with cheese and a breaded chicken breast and loaded up on salad. I avoided the bacon and french toast.
No real meal prep this weekend again. I am going to make a whole grain salad and some soup with the leftovers from the roast chicken I made for dinner.

I need some help here. I am exercising, watching every carb I consume and am drinking plenty of water. I need something else to drink. Can someone please help me out here? Water is starting to make me sick. I have had 3 glasses of it today so far and I need something else. Sounds simple but it can't be dehydrating as I have chronic dehydration. I would really like an iced coffee. That doesn't help with the dehydration. Maybe I will just have one anyway. I am stuck.
