Well never say never but I no longer buy rub ons although I do like the way they look.
Messy stuff like paint.
Stamps. I do not stamp. No use pretending. I sometimes use ink to distress something.
Mosaics - did this back in the day, like it, but I don't really scrap 'artistically' any more, so I would not be into making little squares.
Sequins, shaker boxes, beads, any little tiny stuff.
Probably all kinds of other stuff.

I've actually purged most of my stamps and inks, embossing powders, glitter, sprays, ribbons, rub-ons, paints, Prima flowers and naked chipboard. I have no interest in foils, copics, wood veneers and more that I can't think of. I have the Sew Easy stuff and I'm not sure I will even use that. I've found I'm a simple scrapper. It's been nice to purge all this stuff. Totally stresses my out looking at all the stuff that doesn't get used.

Sewing on cards, magnolia-type stamps, planners, felt. I will say NEVER!

Copics. I would have to have them all & am not really interested in taking out a 2nd mortgage to obtain them. Yeah those too. I'm so thankful my LSS had a free Intro to Copics make-and-take. I was afraid that I would become obsessed about have every color so I deliberately haven't purchased any.

I'm a simple, story-focused, heavy journaling, cardstock based, actual memorabilia, traditional 12x12 scrapper who primarily scraps for our teen son. While I sample new techniques on occasion, I've bought few supplies lately. I'm creatively-challenged to being with & refuse to continue trying to incorporate the dominant pink in an overwhelming number of collections into my teen/boy pages. Many of the rare lines that are not overly pink are themed, usually for baby/toddler/young boys. Luckily, I overbought during the heyday of the industry & have an inventory of versatile products in usable color palettes. Wish more small companies were able to enter & survive in the scrapbook industry to give it more diversity & dilute the AC monopoly...

Wow I want to try a lot of things Listed here but in moderation. I don't like the one small photo thing. I want the photo and story to be the focus. I do want to try some mists and water colors I have played with them on cards and I think it is fun. My main thing is I don't like things too lumpy and bumpy. I have been tempted by the minc and fuse but just can't justify any more tools.
I have a cricut and a cuttlebug and love dies and have a lot. I also have way too many stamps to. I like the look of sewing on layouts but it is a huge hassle to pull out my machine and I don't have a place to keep it out so never use it.
I am not a fan of buttons as they are too thick but like sequins. I never was a fan of eyelets and purged them as soon as brads became popular
I had a bunch of prima flowers but have never really used them I kept some Heidi Swapp and Bazzil ones but haven't used many. I have used a few doilies. I have used some of the prima leaves and liked those but that was a long time ago.
I have made a few mini albums but not a huge fan of them.
I love that everyone is a little different and that we can all make our pages our own.

I agree! I've seen some tutorials for making things look rusted like metal gears. I want to give that a try and it does seem messy. I do LOVE heritage pages that are lumpy and bumpy and I want to make a heritage album like that. I normally prefer my pages to be very flat. Then there's the NUVO drops that take drying time. I guess I prefer to dabble then go full force.

Glitter...glitter is evil. Word. Ali had glitter in a story kit last year and I really tried to use it but I just couldn't do it.

Oooh, can we see it? I've been thinking of trying that but need a push. carolynhasacat Sure, just be kind when you see it because this was done in 2005 back before the whole mixed media craze...and I just felt strangely creative that day. The baby in the photo there is now a 12 year old girl! Time sure slips away. SaveWow! This is gorgeous!

I try new things occasionally just to see how I like them, but I keep coming back to the basics. The photo and the story are my main focus. The boys in my house could care less about trends in scrapbooking, and one of them says he's allergic to glitter.

I have no intention (or the money) to try watercolouring, minc/foil, art journal/mixed media, planners, sequins, washi etc (I do have a couple of packets of sequins - but have never used them, and about 8x rolls of washi which are good for taping my dies down)
I am happy with the way I scrap - and have just started popping in the project life page protectors in my 12x12 albums (with other sized layouts as well)

Never say never... I once said I would NEVER cut a photo into a silhouette...yeah, I did that and made an awesome arty page that ended up published in Somerset Studios Magazine, lol! And I LOVE the page to this day. This is exactly my sentiments. I can remember way back in the day on a thread on two peas saying that I would never buy a die cutting machine.....ended up with a Cuttlebug but then I said that I would never buy an electronic die cutter as I already had a manual one.......ended up with a Cricut, I also remember saying that I hated misting and it was something I would never use or buy......yep guess what, I use mists all the time. One product that I have never used and currently have no intention of ever using is flowers, I hated those little prima ones in the glass jars and those huge flat ones that looked like the came from a plastic bouquet and I don't like the thick bunches of shabby chic prima flowers either, I have never liked the look of them and I just can't get them to work with my style.

Glitter...glitter is evil. I don't think we can be friends anymore. I'm up for trying just about anything if I think it will work with my style. With that said, I have not interest in hand lettering, watercolors (this one could change as I have experience with watercolors, just not on a layout), Copics or gel medium.

I really dislike the hand lettering on products, especially thickers. Those ones by Kai B., Amy Tangerine, Dear Lizzy, Elle's Studio, etc. I will never spend a dime on any of those. I don't know why they can't pick a nice free script font that is easy to read and uniform in appearance for those products.

Some nopes for me: foiling, copic coloring, the cricut, cameo etc., planners, daily December and project life.
