So, I used this AWESOME map vellum from Chic Tags today. First time to ever use it as a background. I got the idea from this LO on SB.com: On the Go and fell in love. I didn't want it to look exactly like it, of course, so I changed it up a bit. I LOVE how it turned out! TFL! Any vellum background LO's you all have done that you would like to share? I'd LOVE to see them!

That is an awesome idea and layout. Is the vellum attached to a solid piece of cardstock for support? I wonder, my vellum would not hold up in a page protector. Yours looks great!

Great idea, I have so many 12x12 vellum sheets from back in the day that I really should use them like this.

I will probably attach a white sheet behind it, only attaching it behind the papers on the right side. I may stick it in the protector by itself first to see how it does, but I'm sure the patterns behind it will probably show through, so I would at least put a white sheet in between just as a buffer.

What a fabulous page! Got back into vellum when I saw (and ordered!) Webster's Pages printed vellum - they are amazing in design, color and quality <3 I used their bicycle design to create a textured background and edge the torn pieces with gold metallic chalk ink. I have step outs on my {FRIEND!} post on my blog...

I love using vellum to layer. I have only used a full sheet when over a piece of patterned paper to tone it down but this seems like a great idea. I will have to try it.

I used that wonderful WRMK polka dot vellum for this page. I was a little worried since it was vellum, but I was able to hide all the adhesives.

Great job ladies!
I normally use it in small sections for layers but I may try using a 12x12.

Great pages! I have never used it a background paper...usually just for journaling. I re-size in Photobucket before posting.

Hey Kisha , I saw your LO on FB and it's gorgeous! Where is that vellum from? I've used vellum in layers on top of card stock or patterned paper but never as just a background. I love that piece of gold polka-dot vellum from Dear Lizzy( no, I don't know what collection) and I've used it a couple of times.
ETA- yes, I'm a bit dense. Just retread your post and saw it was from Chic Tags. Oh well...menopausal brain strikes again!
