I hope all is well after the cath. I had the cath done after my heart attack; it was done through my wrist. Much easier to recover.

caro, I had recently heard of caths being done in the arm. I had one a few years ago and it was done through my femoral artery. It was very painful afterwards. I missed a week of work because I felt like I had been beat up in my groin area.

My DH had a heart attack just over 2 years ago. He was walking to the train station and felt weird, so walked into the hospital instead. He had a stent put it, and it was done through his wrist. Much easier. They use this really neat air-filled pressure bandage to stop the bleeding. They take a little air out every hour or so. Apparently the recovery is a lot easier. Hope that your Mother's procedure goes well and that she's home soon.
