I have a dozen or so newspaper articles that my older daughter wrote that were published in our local newspaper. I'm looking for ideas on how best to preserve them in a way that will enable her to look at them/show them off yet keep them safe.
I scrap 8.5x11" and they are all too big for this format. Some are too big for 12x12 as well - do albums come larger?
Thanks for ideas!

So your best bet for optimal preservation is to do one of two things: 1-wash the actual newspaper or 2-photocopy it onto safer paper. If you go the route of photocopying, you could also shrink it to fit your page size.

Thank you - I'll have to see if DH could photocopy at work - I don't have a large format scanner/copier here and I detest stitching

You can also just buy acid-free sprays like Krylon's Make It Acid-Free- you simply spray both sides of the paper and that preserves it. Very quick and easy! You can find it in big-box craft stores or online. And yes, there are larger size albums. I buy mine at Hobby Lobby in the Art supply department, near the art portfolios. They are just like photo albums, but flatter and in many larger sizes. They are a tad high in price, so I use a coupon or wait for that dept. to be on sale to purchase.

Is the newspaper available online? If so then you may be able to print a printer friendly version.

Thank you Lisa 3dcrafter - it's subscription based and we're not subscribers but that was a good idea
