Bobby Sherman was my first teenage crush that was an older guy. Such good memories.

WOW!!!! I had a Tiger Beat picture with him wearing a puka necklace next to Donny Osmond on the back of my door! I remember that pic! But I had David Cassidy next to him- never cared for Donny.

That's crazy. I was just telling someone last weekend that he was one of my childhood crushes. But 73? He must've been in his late 20's then. I thought he was a teenager.

My older sister loved him -- my mother wouldn't let me read Tiger Beat, ROFL!!!!
Wasn't he on "Here Come the Brides," or something like that? I'm sorry; I was 4 years old at the end of 1970, so my memory is a little fuzzy. I do know Bobby Sherman was awesome, though! Please don't kick me out for being a child!

I was a little young to have a crush on him, but I definitely know who he is.

Dont forget about Leif Garrett! One of my good friends loved Leif, he was not on my door though. I liked Parker Stevenson. Remember the Hardy Boys? Parker was my choice over Shaun Cassidy.

I was a bit too young for him to be a crush, but I loved Julie, Julie, Julie, do you love me... And we always watched Here Come the Brides. But I have to say I was shocked to realize he's only 2 years younger than my mom. That's too weird.

I fell in love with him watching Here Comes the Bride! I didn't realize he was that old! But, I soon moved on to David Cassidy and then Donny Osmond. David was a bit old for me too, but Donny was just right!

I was way too young for him but know who he is because I have sisters 8 and 10 years older than I am. So like many things from that era, I only know about him through osmosis. But but in spite of that, I'm still going to retain my card!

I had posters of him, David Cassidy, and Charlie Waters (a Dallas Cowboys player) on my walls. Of course they were "vintage" posters since I'm not that old.

I'm 59. I just looked him up online about 2 weeks ago. He was a little bit too old for me. I was a Davy Jones fanatic first and then a David Cassidy obsessed teen. Never fell for Donny, and Bobby, Donny and David were all contemporaries. Donny Osmond is 58, 15 years younger than Bobby Sherman's 73. Davy Jones would be 71 if he were still alive. Not really contemporaries. Said in self-defense, as I am actually contemporaries with Donny Osmond (P.S. David Cassidy is closer to contemporary at 8 years older than Donny Osmond. But David Cassidy has not aged well. Maybe his mug shot was just taken on a bad day.)

I remember Bobbie Sherman but I didn't have a crush on him. My crush had been on one of the characters from the Dark Shadows serial. Back then, I read 16 Magazine and I remember seeing pics of nearly every former celeb mentioned in this thread. Anyone remember The Cowsills? They were all over the teen mags of the day, too.

They were all in 16 magazine and Tiger Beat at the same time at one point

All of the above replaced Bobby, David and Donny. They were the generation after - like 5 years later. That's a whole different generation of teenagers.

Ok...you all are dating yourself toooo much...who is he? He was a singer. Maybe he still is. You would be surprised how many of those oldies are still making a living doing what they did. He isn't. He moved on to become an EMT (or firefighter? EMT I think...) in Los Angeles. Davy Jones was my first love, although I think I liked Bobby and Davy at the same time. Never liked David Cassidy because he came along and basically pushed Bobby off of the covers of the teen magazines. And all you young-uns in this thread who don't even know who Bobby Sherman is...! Just move along and start your own thread! SaveSave

Yeppers. I remember dousing myself in Loves Baby Soft, rolling my hair with orange juice cans and playing his 45s on my record player. I was so damn cool.

Bobby Sherman is 73 today! After you posted this, a friend of mine shared the following post made by the Los Angeles Police Reserve Foundation: "Happy birthday to American singer Bobby Sherman who turns 73 today. He went on to serve his community by becoming an EMT and Los Angeles Reserve Police Officer. In 1999, he was named #LAPD Reserve Officer of the Year. One of the most popular artists in the late 1960s, his hit songs include "Julie Do Ya Love Me," "Easy Come, Easy Go," "Little Woman," and "La La La." An outstanding career and an outstanding "second" career, protecting and serving."'

I used to be very jealous of my friend Susie because "Susie" fits right in to replace "Julie" in the song. So: "Susie, Susie, Susie do you love me?" hahaha My real name does not fit. Used to annoy the heck out of me when Susie would sing that loudly while we were listening to Bobby's records.
