My husband has never questioned anything I buy. He is not interested at all. Never asks and would not want to know. He is into miniatures war gaming. He has a whole bedroom with table top gaming. I have done maybe 2 or 3 layouts over the years of his hobby, but otherwise, I don't know what he buys.
I am the one way more likely to complain when he spends money on his hobby because generally his stuff costs more than mine. But again, I rarely know what he spends.

I am on a year long spending freeze and de-stash. It seems to be going well so far but I watch all of the youtube videos, see the instagram posts, and read the blogs. I get this feeling inside about the new colors and designs and pretty things like I really need them and I am sad to miss out on scrapping that sheet or paper or with a certain puffy sticker pack. I do not understand because I do not feel this way about other things (like fashion or jewelry). I just really love supplies for paper crafting.

Hello everyone, My name is SleepingBooty. You see, I live the urban apartment life in the south of France. Sounds idyllic, doesn't it? I mean, sea city, old building, high ceilings, over a century old tiles on the floor, yes *those* French shutters you're thinking of, fresh baguette from any of the 4 bakeries less than 2mn walking, but the floor space, the floor space! So, I scrap out of a few boxes that can't even fit a 12x12 pad, on my coffee table, sitting on the floor. I *must* refrain from doing any hauls, or limit them to 5 or 6 items tops or it just won't fit. Heck, I've even filled a shoe box with clear stamps and not told the man of the house small apartment or he'd shake his head at me and tell me I need to choose between hoarding bed linen (that's another problem) or scrap stuff. And so I scrap, sipping from local rosé with the sea breeze cooling the hot Mediterranean summer air, a big beach pebble serving as paper weight on my bowl of die-cuts before they twirl like confetti in the wind, realising after I've finished a 6x8 spread and trying to get up that the booty, it is a bit asleepy! Happily frustrated ever after... Also, we do not tell Prince Charming about the shoe box full of stamps. Or the $5 kits arriving at my mother's house so he won't find the paper notifications our mailman leaves every time another box of scrap stuff arrives from the US. He doesn't need to know! I still have some room in that winter sweater storage box in my wardrobe I could put some cards and wood veneer in. Especially once winter arrives and the sweaters are in use again. Just sayin'... I've got a plan! (and a problem)I love, love, love the architecture in France. As a spoiled American (with space), I couldn't live in the most of the places we saw. I would be claustrophobic. I have three bedrooms upstairs in my house and all three are mine! I do allow the husband to sleep upstairs. My boys have downstairs with their own bedrooms. I felt the same way about the homes/spaces I saw in New York City. So cute, so small.

A tank of gas costs ($250) more than what I spend in a month. I won't mention the docking fees every month.
