Way back in the fall, somebody had posted a "what is on your Christmas wish list" thread.
I commented that I really wanted KopyKake projector, to use to project images on to fondant so I can cut out logos and figures for cakes (instead of printing paper, cutting out paper, and then holding paper and cutting around it to get my shapes). But they are $300+, so not on the books this year, as we were doing a family vacation instead.
Lostinspace sent me a pm, and said she had one, and would sell it to me for $100. Yay!
Well, the planets FINALLY aligned, I had the cash, and she happened to be rolling through my neck of the woods (we are a good 2.5 hours away from each other).
So TODAY I got my KopyKake, AND got to meet the sweetest Pea!
Thanks Lostinspace!! It was lovely to meet you, and I can't wait to play with my new toy!!

I would love to meet Peas. Back when I lived in Atlanta, we would have crops at Archivers and I met all sorts of great people there. Here in NM, I haven't met anyone. If anyone is coming through Santa Fe - send me a message. I would love to meet you, and I can point you to all the cool places that tourists may not see.

Neither of us thought to take one!! How many peas does it take to use a camera? More than two, apparently! I think it's interesting to meet someone when all you know about them is what you read in threads etc! Having said that, I met people from a photography forum once or twice and in some cases kind of wished I hadn't!

Awesome! I've met quite a few peas over the years and it's cool to actually talk to them in person isn't it?

I am heading up to Fergus next week to drop off my kids at my mom's trailer at lake belwood and always go into Fergus to get pig cookies from the stone croft (might have got the name wrong) bakery. My friend's store that I work out of is in Kitchener. I'm here hit and miss - no real set schedule, just when she needs me. And as for me - I don't have a storefront, strictly custom, out of a commercial kitchen in my basement. But I do sell cupcakes down at I Love Chocolate in downtown Fergus. I deliver there Monday, Wednesday & Friday mornings around 11:30. There used to be a bakery - Sweet & Simple, but they closed a few years ago. We don't have a bakery in the main street any more. Maybe at Fergies? They are a caterer and sell cookies/treats as well....

But the pig cookies I have no idea!

okay, i was a little confused in my post!! the stone croft bakery is in st jacob's on the main drag - it's a restaurant on one side and bakery on the other (mennonite run i believe). whenever i go to my mom's trailer... we go to fergus and/or st jacob's so i got them mixed up! and to clarify.... they sell these amazing pig cookies, the are big and almost like white cake. they have pink icing with chocolate chips for eyes, a marshmallow (with dots painted on) for a nose and 2 pieces of strawberry wafer cookies for ears. they are really cute but so yummy - my mom will get me a box of six from the bakery for a treat (i hide them in my freezer so rest of my family cannot find them). yes, i am in my 40s and get really excited about pig cookies. i think they may be totally nutritionally complete as well... when i had morning sickness with my first, they were one of the only things i could keep down!
