Can you share your layouts? I would love to see them. I have wanted to do a portrait scrapbook of my kids professional portraits/school pics but like you, I am afraid I won't do them justice. SaveSave Sorry. I don't share my kids' pics online. You understand, I'm sure. But I will tell you what helps me with those photos. Keeping the layout very clean, very linear keeps the focus on the photos. I'm mainly scrapping 5x7 photos (one per layout) on 8.5x11" backgrounds. And drawing a theme out from the photos themselves is helpful. For the Easter ones, I used the Easter bunny and Easter eggs, and a basket image. For the summer ones (harder) I noticed that they had whales on their shirts (I was that mom who put both young sons in identical shirts). I pulled out my nautical supplies, and I even had a small stamp set that had a whale on it. I pulled a PL card that had a whale on it. I repeated the navy and turquoise from the shirts in the papers. I actually had a 6x6 pad of winter patterned paper (Jack Frost by AC) and used the non-snow papers from it. Totally understand! I don't either so I am not sure what I was thinking when I asked. Anyway, thanks for the tips. I have mostly 8x10 pics with a few 11x14-1st child, always bought the big package! I also saved all those tiny thumbprint ones. I really need to weed those out. I was going to do an album for each kid but there are quite a few portraits of their younger years when they were in the same pic. You are giving me some motivation. Thank you! SaveSave

Not scrapping but making cards. And after I get a few "welcome" cards done, I can go back to making kids' birthday cards, my absolute favorite kind of cards to make.

I spent most of my weekend cleaning for the cleaning lady to come. I know, I know but I just need her to do the scrubbing. It's been a sweaty weekend. Why don't we lose weight cleaning house? I must have sweat off a bucket full. I am relaxing and will go play in my scrap loft in a few.

Well I got my PL stuff caught up through July. I *do* need to add some journaling, but everything else is done.

I ended up having too much to do around the house today, so didn't get any scrapping done. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/mYSUyHtG9Jrcmm_ydVcK.jpg) Hopefully, I can get to some this week.

Scrapped Friday and Saturday. I started working on the few years I lived in California. I'm doing it 8.5 x 11 and got about 25 pages done. Probably have one million to go, haha!
Weird thing happened though. I have some photos of a lighthouse and a chapel that I have little to no idea where they were taken and I said to myself, "I'll have to call my dad and ask him." Except my dad died 15 years ago and that is the first time I ever had that kind of thought pop into my head.
My husband admitted when I told him that he does that with his mom all the time - thinking he'll call and ask her and then realizing she's gone.
