Laurie Hernandez will be fun to watch, and the race car driver is pretty handsome, so I will enjoy that as well. And here is a list of the pairings. Austin Allison Holker & Babyface Sharna Burgess & James Hinchcliffe Emma Slater & Rick Perry Cheryl Burke & Ryan Lochte Gleb Savchenko & Jana Kramer I am happy Sasha will get out of that dancing lobster suit this season, but the big height difference with his partner could be a problem. Amber Rose sounds like she could be a handful, Maks has his work cut out for him. And I think poor Emma might have gotten the booby prize. Disappointed to not see Tony in the list, I always enjoy his dancing, and he seems like such a nice guy. Also glad to see Artem back. Happy Keo is not listed, he seems to focus on overshadowing his partners and showing off, not making them look good.

I think I'd tune in to see Lochte, Laurie Hernandez, Jana Kramer and Maureen McCormick (Marcia Marcia Marcia!).

I'm so glad to see Derek is back but really with Mary Lou Henner. I can't stand her. She's too old to dance good and she'll somehow have to tell you the history of the world in her interviews

Yay! Derek is back! I don't see Mark on the list and I think that's a good thing. I grew tired of his weirdness sometimes.
I think the best bet right now is Val & Laurie Hernandez.
It should be a fun season!

I was super shocked that Derek got Marilu??!! He always seems to get the best partners. So I expected him to get Laurie! Good! I want to see him work for it for once!! Love the pairing of Val and Laurie. I would pick them to win, will have to see. Amber and Maks?? ehhh. can she dance? if she can, he will love her, if she can't he's gonna work her ass down.

I love Hinch! He has such a great personality and should be fun to watch. And a great backstory on him for those who don't follow racing. The guy is lucky to be alive and able to dance!

Mary Lou Henner has done some Broadway so I think she'll dance better than some people are expecting.
I won't be rooting for her. I'll definitely be rooting for Maureen McCormick.

I am looking forward to seeing Marilu and suspect she has some dancing skills.
I am beyond disgusted that Ryan Lochte will be getting more air time and am considering boycotting the show due to his inclusion. Mega creep, IMHO.
Rick Perry - ugh!!!
I hate that the show has people with such a range of physical abilities competing... Laurie Hernandez - what super gymnast wouldn't be a great dancer??? I think she's great, but what an unfair advantage. Like with the ice dancing couple a season or two ago...

I've heard of 4 people on that list and one of them is Ryan Lochte who I only know because of his idiotic behavior at the Olympics.
I think this show is as far past its prime as many of the contestants usually are.

I know they have to have joke contestants for ratings, but Rick Perry?!?
I'm looking forward to seeing Laurie but yes she probably has an advantage like Shawn Johnson and the ice DANCERS.

I'm just happy the show is back. I don't care who the stars are. I just like the dancing. I love getting to know some of the stars I know nothing about. This is how I feel about this show. I started watching it a few years ago just to see a particular celebrity, but I have kept watching it because I always enjoy the show. The stories, the dancing, the costumes, everything. It is just a nice, fun, entertaining show. I wouldn't boycott the show because they included someone I didn't like, I would just be happy when that person got kicked off. And maybe go into the kitchen for a snack during their interviews if they are super annoying. |

Marilu Henner is from a dance family. From wiki: Her mother was president of the National Association of Dance and Affiliated Arts and ran the Henner Dance School for 20 years. Henner took her first dance class at age two then went on to teaching dance at her family's studio when she was 14 and choreographed shows at local high schools and colleges until leaving the Chicago area during her third year of college.
But no ballroom, apparently.
She also has somewhat of a photographic memory, although not exactly that. I remember her being on a talk show and it was something like she has total recall of dates and what happened on those dates in her life. It was kind of fascinating.

I'm surprised that Marilu Henner is on the show! Her mom ran a dance school when Marilu was a kid and Marilu was a teacher there as a teenager. Marilu said in an interview a couple of years ago that she's been trying to get on the show but they wouldn't cast her because of her dance history. doh. |

I remember last year I was all ehhh about the cast, but I LOVED it, and it came down to really 3 good celebrities that could have won! Remember the gal with no legs? the guy that had no arm and leg? the burned guy? Its in their training, how they work, and natural ability I think. |
