I realized today, after two of my kids got their hair cut in prep for school, that I've spent a ton in the past few weeks preparing for the kids to go back to school.
So, I decided that I'm going to make a layout titled "The Cost of Back To School."
I'm going to include how much it costs for the uniforms(kid 1), the clothes(kids 2 & 3), all the new shoes, the supplies, lunchbox, haircuts, etc, etc, etc.
I'm using 2x3 pics, one of each 3 school aged kids.
I'm feeling lots of layers. Some school-themed washi. Enamel dots. Stamping. Messy. Inked. Over-embellished. Lots of feeling. Did I mention layers?
So, what is the next layout that you are really looking forward to making?

Well, it's not one layout. It's a whole Disney album that I'm looking forward to working on. Hopefully next month. It'll be great to relive the magic and it'll probably make me want to go back.

I can't wait to scrapbook pictures of my 2 year old nephew reading a kitten book to my toy cat. And he doesn't call cats, cats. He calls them Meow. So cute.

Well, right now I'm not thinking about my next scrapbooking layout but instead I'm stressing over my Christmas cards... I love making Christmas cards but this year I am drawing a complete blank. I can't come up with a single idea. At this time of the year I always have several ideas floating around in my head, have post-its stuck to the wall with sketch ideas, probably a bunch of Christmas stamps ordered - or at least on my wish list - but this year I've got NOTHING! Well, not entirely true... one stamp set is on route now but other than that, I've got absolutely no vision of this year's card at all! Maybe that means I need to take a year off...

It seems like I have not done a layout in months. I have worked on some, but not completed any. I would like to work on completing some of my MANY unfinished layouts this month. Finishing some of those would make me so happy!

In 2001, the white tigers visited our zoo for the summer. We have passes and went frequently to see them. For Halloween I made costumes and they were white tigers. The are so damn cute! So I am trying to find appropriate paper and really haven't found a line a like. I have seen a couple of papers, but not enough to throw a cohesive layout together. Black, white, purple, green. I am thinking BoBunny's Zoology might work, but need to pull it out of my stash.

I love your idea, LavenderLayoutLady ! Isn't it great to see a plan that clearly in your head? And to have a different way to document a recurring experience! I am at the end of a scrapping frenzy, finishing up my summer 2016 album and cleaning up my scraproom. I see I have missed some groups of photos I had hoped to scrap, but at some point, I have to say enough is enough: the book is DONE! Still need to put my paper and cs away: already cleaned up my scraps and my tools. Now that I can see my scrap counters, my next project is a bunch of bd cards I need to create before Friday. Onward to FALL. I am travelling to see grandkids this weekend, and hope to get some shots of their back to school experiences, and I have pulled out my "school" iris case, but have no idea how I will handle those pages until I actually have the photos. Will also have some bd pix I hope, but since these kids are older, not sure if there will be photo ops. Guess I will also have my bd case out, so when I get home with the photos I will be ready to go.

I just placed a big order at Scrapbook dot com and plan to use the stuff on photos of my son. I haven't scrapped much lately, so I am really looking forward to just making ANY kind of layout!

I'm looking forward to scrapping my birthday ghost-hunting adventure. The layout will mostly consist of journaling about the experience--I don't have any photos of ghosts (darn it). I do have some nice atmospheric photos and a shot of our EMF detectors lit all the way up. I need to ask my husband to verify some of the specific details to me as he was the recipient of most of the action.

I have 2 photos I love from walking my dogs that I'm looking forward to scrapping. One is an sunny evening shot of just our long shadows and the other is from a rainy day and it's just our wet footprints on the pavement.
Something like "all weather friends" I think.
I also have some kitten cuteness of DD's boyfriends new tortoise shell kitten.

I'm looking forward to catching up on my PL. I've been on vacation so the weeks I'm up to will give me the chance to relive my trip and play with all the destinations in little bite sized chunks.

I've been working on DD19's Italy albums, but I would LOVE to start on both my girls Hamilton albums. I've prepared a kit and have some pictures already, but need to order more. Sometimes starting a special album is intimidating, so I need to just jump in!

a whole Disney album that I'm looking forward to working on. Disney is such a fantastic place to scrapbook. I love the variety of embellies and the brigh, joyful colors. I can't wait to scrapbook pictures of my 2 year old nephew reading a kitten book to my toy cat. And he doesn't call cats, cats. He calls them Meow. So cute. That's just too cute! I bet once you get those new stamps in your hands, the ideas will just start flowing. You got this! I would like to work on completing some of my MANY unfinished layouts this month. Getting them done does always feel good. I have quite the stack of my own "not quite finished" layouts as well. In 2001, the white tigers visited our zoo for the summer. We have passes and went frequently to see them. For Halloween I made costumes and they were white tigers. The are so damn cute! That sounds so adorable!! And kudos on making costumes. my next project is a bunch of bd cards I bet they turn out great. Onward to FALL. I am travelling to see grandkids this weekend, and hope to get some shots of their back to school experiences, Aww! I bet the grandkids mug it up for grandma taking photos. I just placed a big order at Scrapbook dot com and plan to use the stuff on photos of my son. I haven't scrapped much lately, so I am really looking forward to just making ANY kind of layout! Isn't that the best, when you just can't wait to get started?! I'm looking forward to scrapping my birthday ghost-hunting adventure. Whoa! That's awesome! I have 2 photos I love from walking my dogs that I'm looking forward to scrapping. One is an sunny evening shot of just our long shadows and the other is from a rainy day and it's just our wet footprints on the pavement. Something like "all weather friends" I think. All Weather Friends is a great title. What lovely photos. I'm looking forward to catching up on my PL. I've been on vacation so the weeks I'm up to will give me the chance to relive my trip and play with all the destinations in little bite sized chunks. Scrapping about vacations is always so much fun. I love all the remembering. Always makes me smile. I've been working on DD19's Italy albums, but I would LOVE to start on both my girls Hamilton albums. Italy and Hamilton! Sounds wonderful and exciting!

How about for an event that hasn't even happened yet? Me and my DH's cousin are going to go to a winery in a couple of weeks. They have a yearly festival and we get to STOMP GRAPES! I think it is going to be so so much fun! I'm hoping we can get some great pictures to scrap!

ANYTHING fall related. I'm tired of the heat. We were in the 90's (low 100's for a bit Sunday) this past weekend and it was so nice. At pick up from school the past 2 days, it's been 111 and 112...I just can't with this weather any longer. I'm so over it!
When the heat is too much, I try and think of cooler times. For me, that's scrapping my favorite things (fall activities) and listening to Christmas music!

Black, white, purple, green I'm not sure if you are looking for a specific shade of green, but there's a lot of Halloween lines with B side papers with these colors. They have a yearly festival and we get to STOMP GRAPES! I think it is going to be so so much fun! I'm hoping we can get some great pictures to scrap! Reminds me of I Love Lucy and the classic episode of stomping the grapes!

Back in the 80's I loved to roller skate, and I've been collecting random roller skate themed items for years. Part f my California albums includes roller skating photos and I am looking forward to scrapping them. I have been thinking about using that stuff with those photos for years.

Black, white, purple, green I'm not sure if you are looking for a specific shade of green, but there's a lot of Halloween lines with B side papers with these colors. The pictures were taken outdoors in July and the grass is green, so I don't need to match that exactly. I do have glitter zebra paper that looks exactly like the print of the costumes. I imagine it was zebra colored fabric.

I am going away with BFF for the weekend further north on the island I live on. We will be gone 3 days. I have lots of page kits I have accumulated over the years that I can pull about 5 of them and take the photos I had printed and get some scrapping done i am sure.
BFF made me a washi tree which are huge binder rings with washi on them. They are great and I link they all together and they form a washi tree. It's very portable as there isn't that much to choose from.
I think I will hunt for some cool wood veneers as I thought I didn't have any the other day and I found a whole ton of them to take with me.
Yay!

I got the last of the photos I wanted printed for my pages and in the page protectors so now I'm down to the fun stuff. I have a busy weekend ahead of me but I'm hoping to squeeze in at least a little bit of scrapping.
