scrapincin , that sounds like a delightful scrappy adventure you are going to have! With all the booths and classes, you may not get a lot of time to scrap, but what a boost of ideas and creativity! Don't make my mistake and pack too much stuff: just plan to have FUN!!! Hoping you all are having a good Monday. I uploaded the pages I finished yesterday, and I plan on completing a set of facing pages for back to school photos I have on my phone but have not yet printed. Then I can put that school tub away! After that it is out to the garden for me to dig a couple of buckets of carrots to wash, trim and dry for winter storage. There will probably be "culls" which will need to go through my food processor and then find their way into muffins, a cake, or maybe some carrot soup, but the processing may not happen until tomorrow or the next day. One of the joys of being retired is that there is always tomorrow to get jobs done... Here are my b2s pages: Going back by Gramma Dee, on Flickr going back 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr waiting by Gramma Dee, on Flickr waiting 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

I can't believe that I just lost a l-o-n-g post! Aargh! This has been a crazy end of the week and weekend. My DD had some minor surgery and had an adverse reaction to her meds. She was really out of her head. We finally had to call an ambulance to get her to the hospital. They were able to stabilize her by late that night and her surgeon was there being supportive. She has such weird allergies and reactions. So I have stayed close to her to be there in case she started having seizures like she did accompanying her abd. migraines. She is doing well today and has no memory of any of it. Things are looking good today. grammadee, I love your school layouts. You are so organized to have your school goodies and your Christmas goodies separated into boxes. Mine are all mixed together. No wonder I can't find anything! LOL. I'll go leave love on your layouts today. I'm jealous of your zucchini! justjac, how are the play practices going? Hope things are well with you. LisaDV, are you pretty much settled and through traveling now? I saw on the news that it has been COLD in Michigan. I hope it hasn't been too bad already. kellyr21, how's the guitar practicing. I'm glad you got some personal attention in your class. That's great. I'm sure you are doing well. It's turning very cool here in the nights and early mornings. I hate to see winter coming. We won't have very good colors in the leaves because we haven't had much rain and we have had too many hot days. I was hoping for some fun "canyon colors" to scrap, but things just seem to be getting brown. I need to run. I am cutting the papers for Monster corner bookmarks that each of the children at school can make. We let them take one home too. My files are all on SCAL and I have to remake them on the Silhouette. I'll check back later. scrapincin, I can tell you are excited about your scrap retreat. Wish I could stow away in your luggage! I started school today and will teach from 9 to noon on Mon, Wed and Friday. It is not totally set up yet, but I got to meet 2 of my students today. Cute girls!

Happy Monday! I had a nice weekend. Yesterday, I was so bummed! I was looking forward to going to Hobby Lobby and we drove ALL the way there and it was CLOSED! I totally forgot they are closed on Sundays!!!! Man, I was so looking forward to it. So I will have to try again soon. LOL! Well, we did make it through our power outage. We went shopping for a while and then came home and went to bed. THe power returned a lot earlier than we though so that was great. They were replacing one of those huge power/telephone lines and it was a productions of workers, equipment and trucks. Yeah, I am looking forward to these personal guitar lessons and I hope I will continue to improve. Also, I am preparing for my holiday cards. I might have to order more stuff because M's only had one roll of satin red ribbon in 1 1/2 inch which is what I need. I can't believe this might be another year that I have a hard time finding basic ribbon. Geez!!! grammadee - I can't believe it is that cold there already! I wish I could send you some of our heat. You all did so much in your garden and I am glad you were able to prepare the veggies for future use. That is great! I have never canned anything so that sounds like a great way to keep the summer going all year long. scrapincin - Our LA Rams play for the first time tonight and we will be watching. Sorry to hear about RG111 injury already. Boy, what a shame! I want to go to one of local high school games. We have a h.s. around the corner and have never been. Plus, I think it would be fun for my dh because he went to a small h.s. and they didn't have organized sports. So he missed all the Friday games and fun. LisaDV - Sounds like your home is shaping up more. I know you are so glad the washer is fixed. Good news! nylene - Oh, I am so glad your dd is betters. My prayers for you all. So stressful! Glad you get to start back to tutoring. That will be fun and great medicine for you. Hang in there!

I am trying to get in the swing of things. Play rehearsals are going well, but Tuesday and Thursday are very long days now. The only thing I have done creatively this month is finish my sister's birthday card which I started when grammadee visited in August! The interior reminded me of the Pokeys, so I had to snap a pic of it, too. nylene I love the color choices on your layouts. Dee, you have been scrapping up a storm! kellyr21 I hate it when I head to a store just to find that it is closed. scrapincin Enjoy your crop! I registered for one, but it's not until mid October. Do any of you take part in the peas Christmas card exchange? What do you think of it?

justjac, your card is very pretty. Is that distress inking you did on the front? Love that little turtle. She looks like she's wearing a pretty doily dress. Such a cute look for her shell! I considered signing up for the Christmas card exchange last year but was sick and didn't think I could get them made. Then when the list got longer than 100, the postage seemed a bit prohibitive as well as the sheer # of cards to make. It would be so fun to exchange cards with so many of the peas, but I'm lucky to get the 50ish done that I usually send to friends and relatives. Go for it if you are brave! kellyr21, glad you got your power back sooner than you expected. We had a big power outage about a month ago. It was off from 11 am to after 11pm. It's amazing what you CAN'T do with the power out! It's almost comical to walk into a room and think you can accomplish something! Be back later. Have a great week, everyone.

justjac, your card is very pretty. Is that distress inking you did on the front? It is BoBunny glitter paste through a stencil. Thanks for the info on the card exchange. 100 cards is a lot. I don't know if I'm up for that.

justjac 's card is gorgeous IRL. That BB glitter paste is so rich in colour. And I LOVE that cute little turtle. I hope your dd is feeling better, nylene . What meds caused the problem? Neither I nor my dd can handle Demerol or any of its derivatives: they are supposed to relax you, but we get VERY jittery. Her anxiety goes WAY up, and I get muscle spasms. And there are a couple of anti nausea drugs I have had post surgery that have the same effect on me. Too bad about the HL non shopping trip, kellyr21 . I hate when that happens! I love a good card exchange, but won't be playing this year. I will be hard pressed to get my "normal" batch of cards made after I get back. Two weeks from tonight, I will be in Venice! My SIL and I went through the shore excursions tonight, and I think I will book some tomorrow in between playing with carrots.

I told them I want my half in BACON!!!! LOL Many years ago, when we first started talking about moving to the property, we discussed that we could put out a garden and eventually get animals like pigs. My dd said she wanted it all processed as bacon. She was quite bummed to learn that wasn't the case. She just increased the number of pigs we would need to keep her in bacon. ha. Glad you got to play in your craft room. I also love the look of dry embossing and distress ink. we keep carrots all winter in the fridge. Oh, We're going to need another refrigerator. I've already been complaining about the little size of my current kitchen one. Wasn't an issue when we lived in the burbs and Don could pick up something on his way home from work or the kids & I could walk to the store to pick up a few items. You can keep the near freezing temps, please don't pass them our way. We've gotten down in the 50s and I was screaming, "NOOOO!" Love your back to school pages. I'll leave love later. nylene , so scary. I'm glad dd is doing better. Prayers for her continued improvement. I love the monster corner bookmarks. We have a few floating around the house. Actually, we have a TON of bookmarks about, but do the kids use them? Nope, they grab a tissue from the closest box. (shaking my head in dismay). @kellr21, glad the power got back on quickly. I love that HL and chick-fil-a close on Sunday, but it always seemed we wanted chick-fil-a on Sunday more than any other time when we lived close to one. Good luck finding your ribbon. justjac , I love that turtle!! it's so cute. Glad that play rehearsals are going well. I will not be joining the 2peas card exchange. that's just too many. I did join one with my smaller swap group (which was originally the 2ps swap forum over at 2ps) but has changed through the years of being without 2peas. It's great to have my washer back. We had signed up for a salmon fishing charter for Monday morning, that was canceled due to the water being too choppy. I can't say that I was sad as I was able to spend some time in the kitchen, get some laundry finished, and get my school books together. Saturday I was able to finish a layout and started working more on an ATC swap. I've went a bit crazy with swaps lately. I typically only do a few a year and just found myself signed up for 5 swaps (one with 5 different groups of projects within) and 1 Craft War where we are given a challenge each week for 8 weeks. I don't know what possessed me. Maybe my lack of creating was getting to me. This ensures I have to. So this was the first craft war challenge based on a sketch. LisaDV I love your page, and I love the concept of a Craft War! Do you have a link? Isn't it nice to be able to wash clothes AND get some housework done? (Or some crafting?) Funny you should mention raising pigs. Growing up, we had them and I remember we kids had to round them up if (actually WHEN) they got out of their pen. Sneaky animals, pigs are. I remember later driving into my brother's farm and his wife outside trying to get pigs out of her veggie garden and yelling at him to "Get out here or there will be bacon all over this yard!!!" When we were building this house 30 years ago on dh's family farm, I got a lot of teasing at work about living so far out in the bush. I remember one coworker gasping about how I could agree to being so far out of town. I told her I was good with moving out here, but I had one hard fast rule: NO PIGS! So far, that rule has stood... I finished a couple more fall pages this morning. Quick and easy these were: back to basics, mostly cs, photos, and letter stickers. The older brother, here, loves to go for nature walks, spend hours watching for ducks and birds and bugs. The youngest one, who just turned one, has not mastered walking yet, but does not like being tied down in a stroller or restrained in someone's arms, so he does his own thing. grammadee, cute pages. Growing up, I had an uncle and aunt with a pig farm. It was always lots of fun to be able to go and feed the pigs with my uncle. I don't ever recall them getting out.

grammadee My mom's cousin-in-law was newly married on the farm and very upset about the large pig in her garden. She went to scare it off by firing the shotgun and has never lived down the name "Pat the Pig-killer." Whoops.

grammadee, Venice! (sigh) I am feeling jealous. Love your pages and left you some love. You have such cute grandchildren. I never found out exactly what they gave DD along with the anesthesia that she reacted to. I know she and her DH were told at the hospital and it was charted that she can't have it again. She had an almost identical reaction to some neurological meds when they were trying to treat her abd. migraines and she had a simple derm. procedure. That was 13 years ago. So she just adds that to her list of avoiding meds. scrapincin, I commented on your "pig order" on my long post that I lost. You will enjoy it so much this winter. We used to buy a baby piglet and a calf each year for our friends on a farm. They would feed and care for them and we would split the meat according to how much they spent on feed. We had such great meals those years! Then they moved here in the center of town! kellyr21, there are lots of stores here that close on Sunday. They don't get that much Sunday business. People just plan to shop on other days. My son was in the hospital for an accident one Sunday and the only thing he wanted was a Journal. Do you think I could find a journal? Even the entire mall was closed. I finally found something journal-like at KMart. But it wasn't what he had in mind, of course. LisaDV, you are sooo brave. I am really happy that you are doing swaps and the craft war, though because we get to see all your great work. Be sure to post a photo of your swaps. That's something I've never done. Glad the washer is working and I hope your weather stays Fall...not winter. justjac, thanks for the info about your card. I have never even heard of that glitter paste, but of course now I think I need it! Dermatology appt went well today. It was a check on the Lichen Planus and a full body mole check. Nothing at all suspicious and they were thrilled that the rash seems to be pretty much in remission. If it flares again I can have another steroid in Dec. So I'm hoping it will not get bad before that. I also got my Shingles shot today, which has been put off for 2 years because of the lichen planus and steriod treatments. I finished a layout last night and will post it later tonight or tomorrow.

Love your page nylene ! Such cute dgk's! I am up to my elbows in carrots again. Yesterday, I prepped the nice ones for long term storage, and grated the culls. Today I am dealing with the grated ones. Have a couple of carrot cakes in the oven. Plans for muffins this afternoon. I also want to get out to the garden and dig another couple of buckets so I start the process all over again tomorrow. Before I got going in the kitchen, I put together what I thought was going to be a quick page, but of course I got playing. I like the results, though, especially with how the combo of enamel dots and Nuvo drops turned out. This page will need a day to dry before it goes into the album. Happy Wednesday! It is a nice day today. Warm outside and sunny. I did get to M's last night and they did have more red ribbon!!! I was so happy to find it so I got a couple of rolls. (I hope that will hold me???) LOL! Also, I got some more supplies for my Christmas cards. grammadee asked about my friendship canvas painting, if I would be finishing it. At first, I thought I was done but the more I looked at it, I thought, YES, I now want to finish it. So I have been doing a little more over the past week and today, I got more done. So I will share it when I am finished. I loved reading your post about the pigs. LOL! I lived in a semi-rural area growing up but pigs were not allowed. SO I missed all the fun and mess. I saw the cutest thing the other day. For a while I have thought about cat owners and how they could take their cat for a walk. Then, other day, I saw this lady and son and the son was pushing a baby basket with a zippered cover around it. I just new I was gonna see a sweet little baby but there were THREE CATS in there!!! I had to stop them and tell them what a fantastic idea! Those cats were so happy and having a great time. So if I every get a cat again, I am gonna do that unless I have my own yard where my pets can be more free. justjac - Glad to hear your rehearsals are going well. When is the big opening night? grammadee - Oh carrot desserts sound so yummy! I wish all us gals could join you and have an all day baking party! LOL! What fun we would have! nylene - DId you ever got a few clothes for school? I sure hope I can do a little something soon. Staring to get chilly here. Your last lo was soooo sweet. I just love the little story with it and the picture, Oh adorable! scrapincin - Lots of Rams fans here are going crazy about the terrible loss we had on Monday night. I just hope this team can at least win every now and then. After several years of bad Laker teams, I don't know it my emotions can take another bad team. LOL!

Hi Everybody! Hope you all have a great week going! sounds like everyone is busy busy busy! I have had kids and been doing things around home but no scrapping yet. I really need to get my act together. nylene- Soooo happy to hear that good report from your dermatologist! Music to my ears. I know those students you work with have got to love you cuz you have to be doing a dynamite job. Love your layouts! You are totally enjoying that Silhouette! I am so happy for you. Sorry to hear about your daughter reaction to those meds. Kellie has problems with meds when she has surgery. grammadee-you get more done in one day then I get done in a week! by the way your cruise is a month long? You better take extra batteries and and photo card cuz you will have enough photos to make a coffee table size book! LisaDV- loving your layouts. Gladto hear you got those appliances working and that your family are feeling better. justjac- love that sweet turtle card AND your birthday card with the numbers. You do such great work! @kelly21- Glad to hear about the guitar lessons! I guess you heard RG is out for about 10 weeks with a broken bone in his shgouler. And again we lost our opening day game. Thank goodness the college ball I watch is more promising! Ok I need to get a few things done so will BBL

grammadee, beautiful layout. I really like the title work. I don't know how you do all your work and still get so many layouts completed. Do you freeze your baked goods? kellyr21, the cats in a stroller pushed by a little boy sounds adorable! We've been known to take ours out on a leash, but just in the yard. Now that we have some land we do let them out while supervised. So glad M's had some more ribbon for you. I can't wait to see your canvas. It was already fabulous. scrapincin, I always say I get frustrated when life gets in the way of my crafting. Wouldn't it be nice if crafting was our first priority? Ok 2nd only to family. Maybe some little brownies could clean and cook for us. Lol.

grammadee , I agree with everyone else that I can't imagine how you get everything done each day and still have scrappy time. I think we need to change your name to wonder-gramma! scrapincin and LisaDV, I agree that it's frustrating when Life interferes with scrapping! I thought retirement would be more relaxing! I finished a very silly layout. I have had this cute outtake from Angie's kids' Christmas 2013 photo shoot. I just think it is so cute and I don't know what evoked those faces, but I had to come up with something. I've never done a page where I have a full page title, but it was fun and I got to use my Silhouette. (Cindy, I decorated my Cameo with vinyl!) Love how you scrapped that photo, nylene . It is so much fun trying to figure out what is going through those little minds! kellyr21 Would love to see what you do with that ribbon. That cat story is funny! Our cats have free range of the farm. No neighbours to annoy. A neighbour of dd's has two cats in town that they leave outside all day on long leads. They seem quite content to sun themselves on the step and wander around the yard. Yes LisaDV I freeze a lot of the baking. I also freeze stews and soups and stir fries made with fresh veggies. I like cooking with fresh veggies, but am not so good with thawing out frozen ingredients to construct something. I prefer to cook it now, and then just pull out a container later. On the other hand, about this time of year I look forward to meals that take 20 minutes to prepare instead of 2 hours! Thanks for the comments! Don't feel anywhere near "super". Don't have a day to day job. Don't have kids to care for on a regular basis. There were a lot of years I did very little that was just for me, and I see scrapbooking and playing with paper as payback for that. I am lucky to have a room dedicated to paper crafting, and I can leave unfinished projects out, then add details until I am happy with them. I also have lots of options in my room for any project, so once I have the photos, pages can come together pretty quickly. There are lots of weeks I don't get any crafting done at all, but when I have the photos, all the tools and papers out, and the mojo is flowing, pages come together more quickly. Especially when I stick with products rather than techniques. Also, I have been sticking to one theme at a time, and that seems to speed up the process too. I am trying to get the latest photos onto pages before I leave for my trip, because the memories will not be nearly as fresh when I come back, and I will have lots of other stuff to catch up on. Tomorrow I am taking a break from harvesting, and plan to concentrate on housework. When I show you my pages, you will notice I don't show you photos of the mess that has piled up this fall while I have been visiting grandkids and harvesting veggies. Major maintenance needs to be done tomorrow. Have a good evening, Ladies!

I think we need to change your name to wonder-gramma! I agree, no matter what she says. Although I did tell hubs that when the kids were out of the house, I wasn't going to cook for him anymore and was just going to "do my own thing". Which means I'm going to move into my craft room and stay there. I think he was actually worried that I was serious! LOL! I love your title and the whole layout is way cute. Those two are adorable! plan to concentrate on housework I'll be cleaning too. I can't even see my dining table!!! The canning supplies made it there and not to there storage spot (of course, we're still working in the basement which is where they go. But I do have there spot all cleaned and ready now. Of course, they'll be coming back out next week for jelly and applesauce.) And, of course, there is just a ton of other junk that needs attention. I've tried to freeze baked goods and others do it with success, but it just taste so funny to me if I do, and I use my vacuum sealer and everything. It just makes the texture funny. It's probably all in my head -- or I'm just goofing the process up. I have to brag about my kids. Don & I went to a town hall meeting the other night. When I got home, my dd had picked up the bathroom making it all nice and neat. My ds had did the dishes as he was told, but also made GF bread and cleaned up after himself. This in itself is terrific. It was the best non-mix GF bread we've had since using GF. The next morning I told my son I saw that the recipe was on my phone's internet browser and that I'd print it later. He said, "oh, I made substitutions." The recipe was for regular gluten bread. He came up with his own GF mix by using my all purpose mix and brown rice flour. Then he said, it called for instant yeast and we just had active. So I had to change the order it was put together. Upon questioning what that meant, he then explained all the steps he took. He "proofed" the yeast. He just didn't know that term. I was SO, SO proud of him I can't even begin to tell you. OK, brag over. My ATC swap cards. The background is a shaving cream print, then stenciled with gesso, then another stencil with orange, and then pink distress ink sponged with another stencil, and then I've already forgotten. oops. The image was stamped on tissue paper, colored with copics, and cut out with the coordinating die. Then adhered. I used a wink of stella pen to add shimmer to the hat feathers and then a little rhinestone earring and brooch. 09 16 16_ldi_0020 by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr

Good evening, Pokeys! I have always known this, but I realized AGAIN today the reason I get so behind in housework is that I. HATE. Housework. Managed to steighten and vacuum every room in the house today, and cleaned the bathrooms. Also managed to put together 3 quick pages, pretty much just Grab. Glue. Go. And I have a plan for the facing page. if I get a few minutes in the next couple of days, I will be able to finish that one, too. Busy weekend ahead. Depending on the weather, we plan to dig potatoes either Saturday or Sunday. Dh has been checking 4 different weather sites 5 times a day for a week to determine what the BEST day to dig will be. Since the sites rarely agree, and since they change their predictions for a particular day as they get new info, I tend to ignore them and just wait to see what the weather actually IS. Dd & family plan to be here for supper Saturday and spend the day with us on Sunday. They offered to help dig potatoes, but I am thinking dh will have a hard time waiting if there is a hint of rain in the forecast for Sunday. If he decides to go ahead, we will dig them Saturday and then they will help haul them down into the basement when they get here. Love your ATC, LisaDV ! I love all the texture and layers and glitz! Love to play with techniques, but don't do it very often. What great kids you have! You will have to get your ds to write down his experiments so the results can be duplicated. What do you use for GF flour? Our local Co-op doesn't have any. I checked today b/c dd is experimenting with the fodmap diet to see if it helps her intestinal distress. Here are a couple of pages I finished yesterday: one step at a time by Gramma Dee, on Flickr One step at a time 2 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr

Happy Saturday! I hope you all are enjoying yourselves. I hope to make it to Hobby Lobby again. LOL! My guitar lesson went well the other day. Practice is what I need to continue to do. Also, my art is shaping up and finished a couple of cards. I was using some old glitter paper and boy was it sooo messy. I love that the newer ones don't rub off. LisaDV - Oh I love that card you made. All the fun techniques you used sounds like it was very exciting to see how it would turn out. Love the quote too. I just read CoCo Chanel's book this year. What a woman! Your ds is such a sweetheart and so industrious! Maybe he will become a chef of some sort of food expert. scrapincin - What a bad break for RG3! I wonder if his career is over? grammadee- You have made some wonderful pages! Off to see them in the gallery. nylene - Your layouts are so sweet. Oh my goodness!

Love your card and all the fun techniques you described. You are so brave! Messy things in the scraproom make me nervous. I can't even stamp without getting ink all over me and usually something else. grammadee , I can't figure out why our homes need attention when only 2 people live in them. I do like the idea of having little elves clean for me. I had to chuckle at your Grab, Glue and Go technique. I need to learn to do that! Great pages. scrapincin , I am sorry to hear that Kellie has problems with meds and surgery. It can be scary. Just 2 more weeks and you will be on your way for a fun scrappy adventure. Enjoy it for me too. Are you getting some kits put together, or will you just wing it? kellyr21 , so glad you are continuing with the guitar. Practice is always good! Hope you continue to enjoy it. I can't wait to see your cards. I know they will be beautiful. I finished another page today. This is one from Cousin Camp. I have so many photos I thought about just doing pocket pages, but I think I will scrap them all. I hope I don't drive you all nuts with them. Coloring Books by Nylene Budge, on Flickr

grammadee , I've been making my own mix. I'm not sure it's any better or any worse than store bought. I really need to do a baking comparison. I will get the recipes I've been using to you the first part of the week. I think vitamart? is where I order most from that I don't pick up locally (I'll get that to you too). Great pages. Love the heart for the o in one and the colors. kellyr21 , Hope you made it to HL today. I agree with liking the newer glitter paper since it doesn't rub off. Hope to see your cards soon. nylene, I love how you used a color page as the background. We love to see your pages; you won't drive us nuts at all. My son usually only wants to cook food from other countries. My daughter is the one contemplating being a chef and spends a lot of time in the kitchen. I was hoping to finish off a scrapbook layout today, but was super busy all day long with cleaning, as those darn elves never showed up here, and with some baking. I did finish the last 2 chapters (the tear jerker ones) of Where the Red Fern Grows which I was reading aloud to dd. She's read it before, but typically we pick favorites for our night time reading. But last night I said I would finish it during the day. As we both sat there snuggling and blubbering, I was like, this is why we couldn't read it last night. OK, gotta go get my evening preps done. Good night, pokeys.

Good Saturday evening. It has been a busy day and I am pretty tired, so don't think I will be staying up much longer. the potatoes have been dug out of the ground and collected into tubs. Dh transported them up to the garage with his tractor, and dd's hubby will help carry them down to the basement tomorrow. Baked some of them to go with the roast chicken we had for supper when dd & crew got here. No elves showed up to clean house yesterday or to dig potatoes or cook supper today, but these three are the next best thing! It is so great to see how much at home their little man is here, checking out the toys in the basement and the books upstairs, chatting away with us about his week. He is excited because we saved some potatoes for him to dig tomorrow. AND, his speech therapist has taught him to say "POTATO", so he was using every chance he had to say that this evening. It has been a struggle, but his speech is really coming along now. Looking forward to your info on GF baking, LisaDV . Thank you! Don't worry about not getting any scrapbooking done today. Your dd will remember for a lifetime having you reading with her and sharing her tears. Love your pages, nylene . And love to hear more about cousin camp. Such a wonderful tradition. kellyr21 , did you get to HL? What did you buy? Looking forward to seeing your glittery cards. Okay. Really need to get to bed now. TTYL

LisaDV, I made the mistake of reading that book to my 3rd Graders my first year teaching. We had a teacher and 30 little heads on desks blubbering. When I mentioned it to other teachers I was told, "Rookie mistake". LOL, I never did that again.

Good evening! I am caught now I think! If I missed something just let me know and I will check it out! You gals have been scrapping your hearts out!
I have not started to get my stuff together but I am going to work on it tonight. I went fishing Friday afternoon with friends and then I was under the weather yesterday. I have IBS and it has really been acting up.But I do get flares in the spring and fall. But I have almost 2 weeks to get it together.
@kelly21- It is too bad for RG not being able to play. Then today our back-up got hurt. But he kept playing. So our third string quarterback almost went it but McCombs insisted he could play as it was not his throwing arm,. then the Indians are doing well headed for the playoffs for the World Series and one of their best pitchers got hit in the hand with a line drive and broke bones in his pitching hand. Ohio State and Michigan State and Alabama all won yesterday. Oh and theBrowns lost again.
well need to get some things done so will close for now. BBL

Good Sunday evening, barely. It's 11pm my time, and I can't remember the last time I stayed up this late. Trying to keep dd on a schedule and with her hurting every night, even if she has a good day, means she wants mom to sleep next to her. We'll transition her to her own room once the trim and the curtains are up, until then I don't really mind (most of the time) her being the peanut butter. But today, my ds shot a deer (great shot so the deer didn't suffer) for the youth hunt. Don took it to a local butcher and they always have it back same day. So I need to stay up and vacuum seal all of it into usable portions and get it in the freezer. Tomorrow we're hoping for a nice day to finish cleaning out the pool. nylene , that is too funny!!! Also, one of the advantages to homeschooling. I'm so quick to tear up at any little thing. My kids looked at me like I had 2 heads while I was crying at the end of Charlotte's Web and dd was in K. I remember crying back in 3rd grade when I read it to myself. It didn't change. Yesterday, my dd was telling me how I cry at everything - movies, tv shows, books if they're the slightest bit sentimental or sad, but that this book was different. Yeah, because you're crying too was what I was thinking. grammadee , awe, your dgs must have had a blast digging potatoes today! I hope you got some good photos. Those 3 do sound like they are just as good as elves. With your mention of carrying potatoes to the basement, I was wondering how your knee is doing? I don't want you throwing it out before the big cruise. Also, could you pm me your email? It will be easier to send the gf flour mix recipes I've tried and my next one that I will be trying. It'll be Tuesday or Wednesday (those are the days Don is usually on client site and I get a bit more breathing room). scrapincin , so sorry that you suffer from IBS. I think it's a cop out by doctors to say we don't know what's wrong. Seems like so many people are being diagnosed with it. I was afraid that's what they would say about dd. Of course, I don't know if abdominal migraine is much better. It still basically means you're on your own to figure out the triggers which can be anything. Glad you got to go fishing though! Did you catch anything?? Did you start collecting your supplies yet? I was able to finish my layout after church today. I knew I wanted to sew the rays. But I couldn't find the cord to my old machine that I only use for paper. So I bit the bullet and used my fabric machine. I remembered how much I love the look of sewing on a page and ordered an itty bitty single stitch machine that I could leave out on my desk for $17. I also remembered how much I loved my fabric machine. Of course, that still doesn't mean I'll do anything about it. No time for fabric when I have so much paper crafting that I WANT to do.... Here's my layout. YouAreMySonshine by Lisa Davolt, on Flickr I used my cameo for the template of the rays and for the sonshine in the title. I actually like the way it turned out. Although there isn't a lot of embellishment on the page, I didn't feel it needed it with so many patterns.

Wow, LisaDV , that is one busy day!!! Love your happy LO. Hope your dd feels better soon. There has to be something that gives her some sort of relief! I didn't go out to get photos of the potato digging today, but I they got a video. I was busy cleaning and packaging carrots for them to take home with them. I did get the photo I am attaching here. They found a potato that looked like a heart. I have some photos of them digging potatoes earlier in the summer, and I can certainly use this one on a page. And hope your innards get a little less irritable, scrapincin ! I have bouts of this too from time to time. There are some foods--particularly garlic--and some spices that are triggers. I am so happy that while I am on the cruise, the dining room will cook my meals to order. All I have to do is pre-order each day from tomorrow's menu. That way I know that what I am served on board will not irritate me. And when we go on excursions, I usually don't choose the ones with meals on shore. I need to get serious about packing. Brought my suitcases up from the basement yesterday. Ordered my bubblepacks of meds the day before. Have some lists started. Hope to get some photos printed and some scrapping done tomorrow. For now, good night! Attachments:
