I'm glad they found the victim and are moving forward with charges. What she did was despicable. I'm sure one day her body will look like that.

70 years old. At the gym.
I only hope I'm that dedicated to my health.

What a terrible person. I am glad he will face consequences. It wasn't a man. It was another woman. A vapid, self-absorbed, $ucking bitch.

I really hope she is prosecuted in the same way a man would be for the same offense.
Also, in everything I've read about this story I have yet to see a comment that doesn't agree that what she did was abhorrent. Which sort of makes me a feel a little better about human beings in general- at least we can all agree that this crosses a line.

Very glad they will be prosecuting. Why would someone think it is ok to post a locker room photo, even if it was of a perfectly glorious body? Exactly this. She deserves whatever consequences she gets.

The victim's gender, age, body shape, etc, has no bearing on this. In boils down to she took a naked picture of another person without their knowledge and put it on the Internet. That's a sexual crime, isn't it? She needs to be tried as that. If it means jail time and registering as a sexual offender for the rest of her life for being so stupid, good!

Sadly, I saw a guy just yesterday post that he thinks this has gone too far. She should have the freedom to post what she wants on her own social media accounts. It took the rest of the community about 2 milliseconds to ascend like a raging hoard, so that restored my faith in humanity again.

Those factors have no legal impact since the victim's not a child, I assume. But as someone considered older, I think there is a social impact to be made by a 70 year old woman fighting this. I think my mother might be too embarrassed to stand up and fight knowing the photo would continue to be viewed. I want to give the victim extra strokes for speaking out !

Registering as an offender may not be the case, but a quick search shows over 30 states have enacted "revenge porn" laws. In California for example, it's a disorderly conduct misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and $1000. Hopefully the law isn't written for only ex's not to post photos once you break up and she can fall under this law.

JustTricia I agree. My post might not be clear, the factors I was talking about were the age, etc you mentioned in first sentence as not being pertinent. Taking and posting a naked photo of someone without their consent is wrong and deserves punishment.

Interesting that she said she had accidentally posted it. Maybe she is a sleepwalker. She certainly didn't accidentally take the photo, so why take it if she wasn't planning to show it, or make fun of it. I hope she gets punished to the fullest extent.

Interesting that she said she had accidentally posted it. Maybe she is a sleepwalker. Or maybe she just got caught. I believe her response was that she meant to send it to one friend and accidentally posted it as public. (That was her defense.)

What a complete asshole. Poor woman is minding her own business at the gym and some bitch thinks it's funny to take her pic and share it with everyone? Some day, if she's lucky enough to be 70, she's going to think back on this with shame as she looks in her own mirror.

She did that to a 70 year old woman?
If I were her mother, I'd be whopping her up one side of her head and down the other! She would rue the day she chose to be such a loathesome toad, that's for certain.

Or maybe she just got caught. I believe her response was that she meant to send it to one friend and accidentally posted it as public. (That was her defense.) Whether she meant to only send it to one person or a million - its still completely wrong and in my book, makes her an asshole who should get punished as much as the law allows.

I completely agree; I think some people were confused why she said she didn't mean to accidentally post it.

Interesting that she said she had accidentally posted it. Maybe she is a sleepwalker. I caught that, too. She is an idiot who couldn't even take proper responsibility for what she did.

I would have respected her apology more if she had just said - I took that picture (plus selfie plus caption), that was the worst part and it was no accident, I screwed up and made it public, it should have never existed in the first place and man this was a colossal duck up on my part and it was 100% wrong from beginning to end.
But she tried to say this isn't who she is and she loves and respects women's bodies. Well, except obviously not because you did that. You know that saying about when people show you who they are?
