I'd go on a month long vacation on a beautiful island with just me DH and a staff of people to cook and take care of our every need.

I'd paint my car metallic orange. You can get an orange wrap for a few hundred dollars:

I would start a chain of grocery stores in places that needed a good stores. With cooking classes. And not one box of hamburger helper or a whole lot of other junk in the place. It would be nice to included a community/public garden with a egg and milk production. People could work in exchange for credits. A child/elder center would be nice.

1. Travel the world with my camera (s) as long as I wanted to, exploring different cultures and countries. 2. Come back, buy a cruising sailboat and sail not around the world (got to avoid the pirate areas) but as far and as long as I wished. 3. Come back and buy amazing houses in Maine and another in St. John USVI, that way I'd spend spring and summer in Maine and fall and winter in St. John. 4. Or I like Jigglypuff's idea of buying my own private island 5. Donate a ton of money to my favorite charities.
Oh, before I do any of that-pay off all of my parents debts, and buy them a much nicer house wherever they'd like to live. Their's is really too small since my sister moved back in a few years ago because of her health.

I would open up an animal sanctuary. A retirement home for horses, cats, dogs, cows, etc. No animal would be turned away and none would be adopted out. They could live out their days peacefully on my ranch.

I would just retire and start traveling...close short travels for a few years until my kids are out of high school. Longer trips and farther away once they are both in college.

I would build a castle with classrooms and indoor and outdoor fighting space, camping, and all the fun details to make it the perfect event site for my reenactment group.

1. Pay off all debts, including mortgage. 2. Enroll DH in helicopter flying lessons and buy him a helicopter. 3. Purchase my aunt & uncles former house in the country 4. Purchase a lake front property and a river front property. 5. Pay off debts of several friends. 6. Purchase homes for a couple of disabled friends. 7. Find & fund medical expertise or DH and for neighbor. 8. Finance educations for a number of loved ones. 9. Body lift to remove all this excess skin! 10. Book a cruise ship that has several routes and let friends and classmates join for any and all legs of the journey that they wish.

I want a puppy farm. I know it isn't a good thing to do to puppies, but I cannot get enough of them fostering puppies might be a good option to get your puppy fix without adding to the overpopulation problem Right now my dreams lay in the area of being able to grocery store and buy what I want without having to worry about paying the other bills. ((((Hugs)))) btdt and I don't think I'll ever get over how blessed I am to shop knowing I can buy what we need and some of what we want. I hope you are similarly blessed soon

As for me...
1. buy/build an actual site-built house (we have a mobile home) 2. hire a gardener and a handyman and a driver 3. travel - all over - first off to New England to see my mum and to Okinawa to see my son, then to England to visit my sister and then I would visit all the places I dreamed of visiting or revisiting. 4. college funds for my kids

Most of mine would pretty much involve travel.
1. Cage dive with great whites off the western coast of Australia.
2. Volunteer at the Wolong Panda Sanctuary in Sichuan, China.
3. Bum around Western Europe/Scandanavia for as long as I could afford it.

Go to university to get qualified to tell people what to do. Then set up my business that helps poor people get into running. Shoes, sports bra, hydration systems etc. These all cost money and for some people, this is their only barrier to success. I don't actually know how I'd make money giving stuff away, but if money was no object, who cares?

Travel for sure. Take my entire family to the Philippines next summer. Take my husband and sons to Europe, African Safari, South America.
Build my dream homes... here in Charleston, in the mountains of NC, on a beach on Kauai, Italy, and NYC.

Pay off this place, all debt and kids college and put property in trust for kids and their to be families. Tear this house down and update to nice but on modest side new one. 3-4 bedrooms. Set aside money for kids homes here if they want to live on property. Buy lakefront place in Door County. and then do any and all previous ideas mentioned here and I come up with, at will. Relax and enjoy and help whoever/whatever I see fit.
Enjoy life and help friends, family and people along the way do the same. Lots of random acts of kindness.

Crazy thing? get rid of everything in our apartment and replace it with something gorgeous and fabulous. I would of course keep jewelry, sentimental items and anything that would be replaced with something identical like DHs tools and the TV in the living room that could be moved to the bedroom.
As it is, we have an old sickly cat and it's just not worth getting anything nice when she might vomit on it.

Buy the biggest pharmaceutical company and run it in a way that shows concern for people, not the bottom line. I'll review the behavior of all the top execs, and enjoy firing any I don't approve of.
