My favorite would probably be Donna Hay. She's Australian so I figure most of you wouldn't know her. She does a show on pay TV and a bi-monthly cooking magazine plus lots of cookbooks. I have a huge cookbook of hers, over 400 pages, and I swear every page has something on it that I'd love to eat. She's a food stylist so the photos of her dishes are amazing. I also love Jamie Oliver.

Right now, I'm into Donna Hay. Love all her recipes! I wish i could watch her show, but it is not available in the US. Ina's recipes always work. For Mexican, pati Jinich is my go to person. Still love Martha Stewart. Eye candy: curtis stone

Ina, Ree, Flay, Giada, and Alton Brown. I have tried several of AB's soup recipes and they have been well loved with dh and dd. Ina has such wonderful recipes and they always come out deliciohs. Giada has some yummy recipes as well. Ree, about 80% of the recipes I have tried have been good. A few were flops. But so many of her recipes have gluten and I can't always find a way to alter them to be safe for dd. Flay has provided us with excelleng bbq recipes as well as breakfast/brunch recipes.
I do really miss Emril. BAM! I grew up watching him and wish he was still on Food Network. I learned a lot from him.
ETA: I also really like Tiffany from Saved by the Bell on Cooking Channel. Love her show!
As for eye candy? Tyler Florence!!!

I have so many favorites! Bobby Flay - I especially like his Beat Bobby Flay show right now. Watching him cook on the fly is more like real cooking to me, and I like to take hints from that. Anne Burrell - it's real food to me. She gives good pointers on her show, and I love her on Worst Cooks. Nancy the Farmhouse lady (lol can't think of her name) - food for a real family! Pioneer Woman - food for a real family, including MEN who like to eat lots of food. Guy - love his show who he's cooking in his kitchen. And I like to really watch DDD, I take tips from those places a lot. Food Network is my go-to channel. Can't find anything on? I go to Food TV. I love cookbooks.... I sit and 'read' them for inspiration

I don't watch cooking shows, but I seem to often find recipes that I like from Bobby Flay

I don't really cook much but I think Tyler Florence is a dish. Does that count? That counts I love his "ultimate" recipes and they are usually my go to when I am looking for a new recipe. I have never been disappointed in any of them. I haven't had the food network for 5 or 6 years now so I don't know a lot of the chefs any more.

I love cookbooks.... I sit and 'read' them for inspiration Same. I especially love old cookbooks from ladies' organizations like Junior League. I have two shelves of old cookbooks that look like they have hair from so many post-it note flags sticking up on the pages where I've marked a recipe to try!

Whenever I watch their shows, I wish they were my neighbors and needed me to taste test their recipes. Can you imagine Ina's sweet face showing up at your front door with a beautiful tray of cookies? ?

Emeril. We always look for his recipes when making something new. They always turn out to be delicious.

Ina's recipes are almost always successful for me. Paula Deen and PW are also usually successful in my house. Michael Chiarello too.
I also really like Marcella Hazan and Rick Bayless. Classic and authentic, people you learn to cook from. I count them as the Italian and Mexican counterparts of Julia Child (whose recipes I have been using since I was a child, which may tell you something about my cooking style).
And often Tyler Florence and sometimes Alton but not always.
I have had less success with recipes from Martha Stewart, Rachael Ray, and some others. Bobby Flay is in this category for me and so is Giada, whose recipes have fallen flat for us.
I like to cook with a handful of flavorful ingredients and do it well, and I find some contemporary chefs use a long list of ingredients to create these complex dishes and that isn't my preference. Working mom, grad student, busy kid, busy husband doesn't leave me a lot of time for 18 spices and 72 things to chop. So that certainly influences my preferences.

Ina Garten for sure!
I also love Pioneer Woman recipes, several of hers are my go-to for things.
And for Canadian chefs - Michael Smith from PEI and Lynn Crawford from Toronto are my favourites.

Definitely Ina, I am trying to collect all her cookbooks, I think I have 5 so far. My dd LOVES her, if Ina says so then it must be true...too bad Ina doesn't have a show about cleaning your room.
I also like Pioneer Woman.
I found Guy Fieri's recipes have too many ingredients, Bobby Flay always uses some type of pepper I can't find...I started off with Rachel Ray but wasn't impressed with any recipes enough that I would use them over and over.
I haven't used many Martha Stewart recipes but her pie and tarts cookbook is awesome.

Chris kimball. Recipes are spot on and he doesn't leave out key steps.
Unfortunately I dislike his arrogance and that he believes people should greatly for his recipes.

Pioneer Woman, though I have to modify a bit because of the fat content. Giada, Rachael Ray.
ETA because I forgot about my two favorite Canadian chefs, Michael Smith & Lynn Crawford.
