2. Donald Trump and/or his adult, campaigning children have decided that the American people are so stupid that they think a Florida stadium would have a huge Texas flag in one corner. I do think that the whole Trump family--Melania, the kids, all of them--think that the general public is stupid and easily fooled. I used to think Ivanka was a little better, but the other day, she repeated her father's blatant lie that Hillary Clinton has no childcare plan. I did too, but now, she's just a twit.....she should have known better. HRC has been championing women's and children's right longer than she's been alive and she just look uninformed and petty in that interview.

Definitely #1. Absolutely his father's child. That was obviously Olbermann's opinion too ... "You're dumber than he is" I thought so, but TBH, I had to google Keith Olbermann after I watched the video. I haven't followed sports closely since my early 20s, so no ESPN or sports-commentator-show watching. I never watched MSNBC or CurrentTV, either. The minute I saw MSNBC mentioned on his wiki page, I knew that many would summarily dismiss anything he had to say. I had seen or read about many of the things on that list, but reviewing them all at one time is horrifying. Scary thing is, the people who really need to see and hear all the vile things that Trump, his family, and his campaign people have done will never. ever. read, watch, or listen to a list like that because they've been thoroughly convinced by their pundits that it's "not true / he's being misquoted / telling it like it is / can't be controlled or corralled by the political establishment / a LIBERAL MEDIA CONSPIRACY to discredit Trump / ok because he's not Hillary" Even if he loses the election, he has done major damage to this country. Purposely sowing divisiveness and hatred between so many people is much harder to work through than many of our country's other problems. Manipulation is probably the one thing he really is great at. He's got the electorate ramped up and arguing amongst themselves, he's ruined the GOP (he's right, they don't control him: he now controls them), and he's getting more attention and ego-stroking than ever.

Looks like he isn't thrilled with her either. Said her and her minions keep trying to drag him into her mess and she's not fooling the press. He isn't thrilled with Hillary. He is absolutely appalled by Trump. There's a huge difference in his comments about the two of them and he said he planned to vote for her. Don't try to make this all fair and balanced. It isn't. Somewhat reluctantly, it would seem.

Sometimes even convinced by the very people people who said those exact same things themselves. Boy, that is the truth. We've been learning that these last 8 years, first hand. I don't know when we've seen more divisiveness sown by our leaders than in these recent times.

I do think she only looks good next to Trump. I do tend to think, if it weren't for Trump, she'd never have the support she has now.

Many people who are voting for Hillary have been very clear that they're only doing so because of who her opponent is. This is not a new phenomenon. McCain lost any chance of my vote when he picked Palin. Up until that point, I had been very undecided, and actually leaning towards him. Looking back, I don't think I've ever cast a Presidential vote as an enthusiastic supporter. I've always felt that I was choosing the lesser of two evils. This election has reached a new level of evils, though. What happened at both of the conventions leaves me with a conundrum. But there's one thing for certain. Someone who says and does the absolutely vile and inhuman things that Trump does will NEVER get my vote. I do not respond favorably to hateful, bigoted dog whistles. YMMV.

It's not that puzzling if you look at the things that I've pushed back on. Much of it like the "seizure" videos of Hillary that some are so sure proves there's something wrong with her. I think there are more than enough factual problems with her (and him) that you don't have to buy into that extreme level of ridiculousness. If you can understand me pushing back on things like that with Hillary, you can understand why I push back on certain things about Trump. I still do not like either of them, but I can still speak up with my opinion when people are pushing opinions based on the ridiculous.

On our community Facebook page, where this same video was posted, several Trump supporters were reveling in the examples. They were positively gleeful about the examples, with one posting that he hoped someone would create the video splicing together these examples in Trump's own voice. His statement was that would only make it more enjoyable. That is the kind of reaction that is beyond frightening to me--an audience that is not making excuses, or claiming misquotes, or other potentially mitigating circumstances, but rather the audience that celebrates that level of damage.

That WAS my point. If it weren't for Trump, there isn't a chance in hell that he'd vote for Hillary. Trump has found his Special Purpose.
