Also, several posts this morning have convinced me to purge cardstock I am the opposite, I never feel like I have enough cardstock. I love patterned paper and seem to buy more of that. Also I am really fussy about my cardstock matching my patterned paper so then I feel like I have to have so many shades of different colors of cardstock plus I use plain cardstock for diecutting. Sometimes I almost miss (but not really) when I first started scrapbooking and I was happy with my CM paper pack that had only a few colors in it.

I am making up kits for a crop I am attending at the end of the month...and it is SO FUN to go through my scrappy goodies, getting to know my stash all over again.
I have to pack my scrap supplies for a plane ride...trying to decide what to take and what to leave is HARD!
I am a bit frustrated with my Epson Picturemate Charm; if not used on a nearly daily basis, the print quality goes down and requires multiple print head cleanings which uses up ink and decreases the number of prints you get from each cartridge.
I made a new years resolution NOT to buy cardstock (except my most used neutrals) unless it is for a specific project or to match a collection. I have a ton of random colored cardstock that I am trying to work through this year. I mostly use neutrals for backgrounds these days, so the use of the colored cardstock is S-L-O-W!
I need some new youtubers to watch...

I need some new youtubers to watch... I think BFF will shoot me if I buy any more cardstock. I have about 2' of it right now that needs a home and that isn't counting the stuff I already have on the shelf. I love my cardstock! I like it as a base for a layout. I am not sure I quite needed as much as I accumulated, but it is just so pretty and I love the smell of it. I mean it's CARDSTOCK! It's awesome!

I don't know where you buy your pp, but years ago, I was spoiled by a kit club that included a "match me" cs option for each kit. Then when I moved on to a different on line store, I asked them--and they agreed--to include double sheets of matched cs with my kit: not for every shade, but for the non standard (so NOT white/black/cream/craft) colours of the collection they were using. Some sites (like CTMH and SU!) provide a list of coordinating inks/cs with each collection on line, so you can get some to match if you don't already have it. Also some manufacturers (Simple Stories and Bo Bunny) have cs lines that go with their pp lines, and I will often include an order for one of those packs with a collection I am ordering. I m buying less cs now on the possibility that I MIGHT use it in the future, and more that is matched or complementary to my other supplies.

I have some patterned paper to match to cardstock. I am sure I must have some that will match. I mean this is me with all 10,000 sheets of paper. There has to be some somewhere.
Oh Michaels has cardstock on sale this week, too! I am just sayin'.

I have been on a layout making frenzy this week. I have had so much fun using all of the new supplies the Peas talked me into buying My son is 3 and I haven't scrapped much since he was born. Some of the new lines that are out are great for boy themed layouts. I purchased some (or all ) of a few collections - Crate Paper's Little You and Cute Kid, Echo Park's Off Road and Dino Friends, and elements from several others. I've been really pleased at how well my older paper and embellishments mix with the new. Looking through my stash made me sad, though. So many pretty things from companies that are now defunct. October Afternoon, Basic Grey, Hambly, Sassafras lass, Cosmo Cricket, Lilly Bee, Glitz... sniff, sniff.

I got my photos from Costco so I am good for a while now. I am sure I have plenty to scrap with for at least 2 months. (Or two years). I just need to match them up to the page kits that I have and I will be sitting pretty. I do have plenty of page kits to work with so it's not like I don't have great materials. I just need to get to scrapping.
We beat the traffic to Costco both ways so it wasn't bad on the road and highway at all. Yay!

Also, several posts this morning have convinced me to purge cardstock. I'm good about purging other supplies but I *still* have cardstock from 2Ps days when you could click the button and order one of every color they sold. Time for it to go! purging cardstock? NO! That's my most used supply and I love colours, the more the better!

It's funny when people list they are on a freeze and then the "buts" follow. I am not a purger nor a freezer. I love my supplies I love looking at them, using them or organizing them. Tomorrow is organizing day and packing for retreat and class I have next weekend.

I finally found the picture I wanted for a page kit I put together a while back...now I can't find the page kit..it's ridiculous...lol I didn't think I had enough space to lose things, I was so wrong..lol. Anyone Scrapping or organizing this weekend?

All this talk of card stock……..I have so much of it and don't use it at all, except for white and black. I used to use it all the time but hardly ever anymore, but I do love a white background. For some reason I can't get rid of my plain chipboard letters although I never use them. And ribbon, haven't touched it in years.

My goal this weekend is to journal and embellish one section of the album I'm working on. I did a few pages tonight, and want to do about 10 more over the weekend. It's so easy to layout photos with paper, but I'm not as inspired to do the rest. Once this album is done, the holiday project fun can begin!

More random scrap thoughts (hope no one minds)..... Why is it that I can't keep my freeze in the Dollar Tree? This is such a fun thread. I don't think no one minds we all keep adding to it. Dollar Tree Freeze? NO WAY!!!!!!!! I don't do freezes. I am so nitpicky about everything I buy that a freeze would be a detrimental thing for me. Dollar Tree there is no way I could freeze myself from that store. Every week I go in I am like "I am at my favorite crafting store!" I love Dollar Tree. Random scrappy thoughts- Went to WalMart tonight. I was going to buy doilies for an upcoming project. Stood in the aisle with packages of doilies and realized I like my doilies I make on my die cutters. I did find a roll of washi tape I have wanted for three years now but never could find. Better yet- I got it for free. WalMart was having issues tonight and they let me have the washi for free. I just ordered a Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher. I am so thrilled. I waited six months before I ordered it. See why freezes would be bad for me, lol.

I am buying less, but I am not giving up my cs hoard. So many ways to use it: Backgrounds for pages. Making cards. I cut a 12 x 12 into 10 x 7 and fold. If the original cs is dark, I grab a scrap of light for the inside for greeting & signature. And the front is usually covered somewhat anyway. Cut up for journaling spots--or the backgrounds/matts for journaling spots. Embossed & inked. Diecut into titles &/or shapes.

Oh, my pp hoard is pretty huge, too. But it was easier to purge because as patterns seem to have more or less relevance when time goes on. Forgot to mention that cardstock is also good for stamping, splattering, inking with or without stencils, colouring with pencils or markers or gelatos or crayons, painting, generally gooping up until you have your own personal patterned paper!

Another use for cardstock: cut a template with your cameo, use for misting/texture paste etc. You can only use 2-3 times, but if you chose a colour you'd never use, it's not a waste! My problem is deciding *which* colour is ugly/not usable...because I'm a waste not/want not type of person

I got the Tim Holtz bow punch tonight at Hobby Lobby. It is so cute. This is my first Sizzix punch and I am really impressed by the quality. I have a coloring book problem. I bought two more coloring books this weekend. I just downloaded five with my Kindle Unlimited subscription. I purged cardstock and patterned paper this week. The cardstock I don't have a lot. What I did was take two sheets of each color and put it in with the rest of my paper. I have a separate area in my room that I keep extra as stock. Extra's like glues, tapes, ATG adhesive those kind of things. I am keeping my colored cardstock in with my craft pantry. That is what I call it. That way I can shop my pantry when I needed extra colors but it is not taken up valuable storage space where I keep the rest of my papers. Patterned Paper is my downfall. I was at Hobby Lobby tonight and they were having a paper sale and I didn't buy any. I only got rid of styles that I will never use or I have outgrown this week.

I got a lot done the last time and plan to again. It's on a Saturday and I have had to work Saturdays for the past few years but I don't work any more so I can attend. I am <----> excited about attending it believe me! The people were so nice, too! Loved the crop. There was a mini store there and there was fun had by all!

Lucky ladies, countrychick and Delta Dawn . Would love to find a monthly crop. There is a lady whose shop is near dd's home, and she has been trying to set something up for her kit club, but so far she has not been able to set it up as a regular event.

The crop near me is 30 min outside town, but it's ok. It's all day like from 9 am to midnight and I go from noon until 9 as that's enough scrapbooking time for me. I don't need to stay until the bitter end. I also don't need to go for door opening either. I am so psyched about next month's crop though. I won't have BFF there with me, but it will still rock. I just have to make myself go. I think most of the ladies there were just there on their own and needed somewhere to scrapbook. It's not like I need a buddy there the entire day to talk to as I am very focused on getting my stuff done. I just had so much fun. I mean it was intense. I had uninterrupted time to work on projects and layouts. (I am not telling you anything you don't already know...) It was just fun. There was another one yesterday, but I don't know where it was exactly. It was in a town 35 min or more outside town and I don't know my way around there very well and it's a ride on the highway. I could have gone but I had stuff at home to get done.

Ugh I need to buy a new trimmer. I've felt mine's been cutting off for a while but it wasn't until I tried to cut some card bases for Christmas cards last night that I realised how bad it was. I have a small craft room so need something portable with a fold out arm. Not looking forward to trying to find something.

The blades are getting harder to find and don't stay sharp for long. The guillotine-type trimmers don't interest me, and it sounds like the newer Fiskars with the wire aren't as good. Even after reading all of the threads, I can't decide what to do.

Even after reading all of the threads, I can't decide what to do. Well I bought an A3 Ledah rotary trimmer. There wasn't much choice - either cheap Fiskars or huge 12x12 base or the Fiskar's Procision which just came across as too bulky. I'll still need to find somewhere to stash this one but at least it's light to move around.
