I am SOOO happy that Fall is here!!! (finalllyy!! summer was especially BRUTAL this year! !!!! I also LOVE Halloween, and, I've had a horrible day and would LOVE to see your Halloween piks! I'll start with our babies last year.... This adora-bull ladybug was a foster....we loved her SO much and wanted to adopt her; however, she's in a wonder-bull furever family now! We miss her a lot; but thankfully, her new furever Mommy is very sweet and lets me "stalk" her on facebook! They live an hour away, orelse we'd probably see her once in a while. I'm HOPING they come to our Rescue Group's Christmas event so hubbs and I can kiss and hug her again!!! this sweet lil' devil pik is 5 years ago!! (same sweet girl as "Lucy Ricardo" in the first pik) I LOVED how the fog came out so strongly in the photo---it was NOT that foggy to the naked eye; my former camera just did a fantastic job of picking it up! (I wonder if my phone camera would do as good of a job? I'll have to try it out sometime!)

And this is my dd and I at Disney's MNSSHP a few weeks ago. I was Cheshire Cat (the eyes were pop lights that glow in the dark) and dd was a hedgehog.

When my kids were little we were quite literally obsessed with The Wiggles, so two years in a row we had homemade wiggles costumes. I don't have their Captain Feathersword costumes handy, but here they are in their shaky shaky suits. We saw them in concert both years, and they have their capes autographed by all the cast and stored away in their memory boxes. Don't mind my Ds, he's a grump.

The wiggles had a strong Elvis influence and they dressed like this in some of their songs (told you I was way too invested) I didn't know that. We liked the Wiggles as well but that was back in the early 2000's and they were still wearing their crayon color shirts and pants outfits. We saw them in concert sometime around 2004 or so and they gave a great show. I am a fan of Elvis so I'll have to look at more current Wiggles performances to see what they do with that influence.

<<<Circa 2003, probably my favorite Halloween pic of my now 19/then 6 DD and now 16/then 3 DS . Probably favorite because besides the obvious "cute costumes" I like the way they are nearly engulfed by their outfits and they loved them anyway. They were one of the rare bought-off-the-rack costumes from Sams Club- less than $20.
I don't think I have any pictures of me or siblings @halloween as we have few photos at all. It was simpler times though. I can only remember a few times much effort was put into outfits. Mostly ghosts, hobos etc. Throwing something on was just a means to an end- trick or treating candy!

Halloween has always been my favorite! I still have all the costumes my boys wore thru the years. This year we are going to a state park Halloween trick or treat party and decorating our entire campsite and dressing up. Can't wait!

Me with beautiful niece and adorable nephew wayyy back in 1992. I LOVED spending Halloween with them! My brother and I would take the kiddos for milesss (there's a third cutie, but he isn't in this pik). My sis-in-law loved giving out candy at the house. The AWESOME Wheatie's costume was handmade by my brother. This was 1991, so photo editing, etc. isn't what it is now! He took an actual Wheatie's box and Xeroxed it over and over until the lettters were large enough to cut out. The pik of Micheal Jordan was cut from a poster my nephew had on his wall. Look closely----the detail we REALLY loved was that my brother even glued an actual bowl with glued-on cereal and a spoon : ) Sidenote ....I hand-drew the card I'm wearing and did my makeup. My family and I STILL laugh about how, when my brother saw me with JUST the white makeup covering my face, (no red lips or black liner yet)--- he LOL'd and said "hi, DAD! " ......I did look a lOT like my Dad with that bright white makeup....LOL! (P.S.....several people accused me of lying that I drew the card----whateverrrr----why would I lie about something so unimportant? It's also obvious that I also hand-drew the lettering on my "I Love Lucy" poster in my OP.

Thank you. Yes, we made it together, out of ready made items. We were very lucky to find the grey dress in just the right size at a local thrift store. She had the wings from a previous year and the wig came from some of her dress-up clothes. The cord around her waist had to be purchased new. We pretty much just sprayed everything with that "stone look" spray paint. The wig was a little more complicated. We put all the hair into a bun with a ribbon around it and then slowly layered paint medium on it until it was fairly stiff and then sprayed that as well. DD was shocked at how "real" she looked when it was all done.
