Does it make me a bad mother that I didn't cry at either? I was happy when they started school, it took some pressure off me. Same here ... after a long summer I'm just happy that they are going back to school Dd #1 enters HS this fall and I think it will be a great thing for her ... can't wait

I have three dds and two have graduated highschool now. I am a huge crier and I only cried the night before dd#1 started kindergarten. I remember looking in her backpack after she had gone to bed and trying to make sure she'd have everything she needed and I just broke down sobbing. time really does go so fast.

Didn't cry for any of my three starting K nor for theoldest startin HS and college. I don't expect to shed any tears when the twins start HS a week from Monday.
I don't cry for graduations or weddings either.
But put me in front of some sappy sweet commercial or movie and watch the waterworks begin LOL. Go figure.

I cried when both of mine started Kindergarten mainly because they both hated it and cried themselves. High school was a piece of cake. Now, when they get married, I will probably have to be drugged.

Didn't cry when they went off to preschool because my sweet sisters came up for the day to take me shopping & out to lunch so it would take my mind off it. Didn't cry when my oldest graduated this June because I was RELIEVED that he actually made it thru his senior year. I will confess that I did cry the first time I left my younger one at day camp when he was 9 or 10. Something about him being 20 minutes away and neither of us knowing anyone else there. I don't know. I cried all the way home. Go figure. I will also admit that I cry/get sad every time for the past 4 when same son goes off to camp for a week. I agree w/pp - something about the leaving, I guess.

I loved it when they started kindergarten. They went to work with me. I think the graduation ceremony of my baby will be rough.

I cried more at the start of kindergarten for both my boys. Didn't cry at all for the start of HS. I was too excited for them. I did cry a lot at HS graduation.

High School, for both kids. Not in front of them, but they were bittersweet tears for sure
