Glad you are OK. My SIL recently had all her drugs removed from a checked bag. Of course, she was trying to steal a bunch of narcotics from her mother, so i call that karma.

Please follow doctor directions. I had an ankle injury about 11 years ago and had to have major surgery in 2014. Completely non-weight bearing for 13 weeks. Tore all of the tendons and ligaments and had to have them reconstructed.

Amazing that you got your rings back PLUS you now have a great story to tell your friends. Here's hoping you are a fast healer.

Holy cow that boat ride sounds like a nightmare!!!!!! I feel your pain re the ankle, twisted mine on the 2nd and broke it. In a boot and crutches for at least another two weeks and off work. I hate the boot, and have to sleep in it. But so glad you got your jewelry back! Hope you recover quickly. Hugs..... Oh gosh, i'm so sorry you have to deal. It's amazing how much changes with one little twist isn't it? Gah, who knew we needed feet so much? ha They are the most awful thing, so heavy and sleeping in it is awful, I keep saying i'm grateful they didn't put me in a cast, but i'm dying to sleep on on my stomach! Yeah, the sleeping part is the worst! And my crutching skillz are sad. Oh well, this too shall pass!

Thank God you're okay! The crane thing would've done me in, too - glad you were spared that.

What a weekend! One thing's absolutely certain. Your posts never cease to surprise! Hope you mend quickly. Never would have thought about someone wanting pills over jewelry. You ended up with the better end of the deal, but still.... how absolutely horrible.

Girl, you lead a most fascinating and charmed life - never a dull moment! So glad you got your rings back but real sorry about the trip from hell. Hope your healing is quick... but mostly uneventful - you need a rest! Take care of you.

We took the ferry from New Jersey to Manhattan during a really bad storm. I am a fan of roller coasters and don't get motion sick, but man, more than half of the passengers were green and using their pre hurl face before we got to NYC's dock. Using their pre-hurl face. Love it!

I forgot to tell y'all the funniest part. Dh bought me bags of frozen peas to use as ice packs.
The first night I got home:
"Babe, do you need anything? What can I dofor you?"
"I think I'm ok, I just need the peas"
"I can make that happen, they'll probably have good advice. Those women know everything, I'll grab your computer"
"Umm, the ones in the freezer"
I love that man

You tell a good story and should put all your stories in book, it would be a sell out!

OMG! Please forgive me that I laughed at how you all "managed to break a bus, boat and plane in one weekend!" I did cry for you about your rings, and I'm really glad you got them back. And I'm also happy you didn't break your ankle and none of you were tossed overboard!
You have an incredible attitude, and I want to be your best friend!

I am so sorry that you got hurt, but so amazed that you got your jewelry back.
i was so sad while reading it, thinking that it was gone, and then to hear that they only took the pills and the rest was found? Awesome!

Well Steph you are living the motto Go Big or Go Home!!!! Hope you heal fast so you can get some real sleep. If you are going to be immobile for very long, rent a knee scooter. So much better than crutches.

Love it! I don't generally have trouble with motion sickness...but one time, I was flying back from Texas with a then 18 month old child and had the worst air sickness. I had never experienced anything like it. Turns out, I was knocked up but so early I didn't even know it. So Miss Steph? Hoping the state of your uterus is as you want it to be.

Steph, that was epic- awful. Glad you got your rings back!
You write a little like Janet Evanovich, there was humor even in the misery. You should consider writing an autobiography about how you got into your business!

WOW! What a story !!! I agree with those who said you have such a GREAT attitude, and if I'd been in that NIGHTMARE with you and your friends , I would be grateful that you were there. I KNOW I would NOT have done well with all of that!!! Really happy you're all okay, too----sorry about your ankle and the pain you're in; but as you said---it could've been MUCH worse! Also happy about your ring!! I felt the same way when the diamond from my engagement ring fell off (after 18 years)---I was sad about the sentimentality of it ; not the monetary value.
