How about those Cleveland Indians?
Last night was some kind of strange game with 7 different pitchers, but they still pulled it off!

Yessssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My husband was saying "this is our year!" back when the Cavs were in the playoffs and had yet to win their championship. He called both championships this year. I keep thinking, "we're Cleveland fans, born to have our hearts broken". But this COULD BE IT!! So excited!!!!!!

We live in Houston so we're a bit removed from it all, but still watching and cheering loudly. I do have a co-worker who is also from Cleveland so we cheer together! My hubby says if they win the series, he's getting a Chief Wahoo tattoo!!!

Not a fan (Jays fan) but they are out playing and out hitting our guys no doubt!
Gibbons should have pulled Stroman in the 4th inning. That's his downfall (gibbons), he gives his pitchers too many chances.
Batista and EE need to get hitting. They can't win with only two or three hitting in the lineup. Also leaving stranded runners is killing them.
They need to pull their shit together today. I'm so disappointed. Two years in a row in the ALCS and they are just not producing!!!

My team is in the NLCS, although Dh and I compromise on an AL team that isn't in the postseason. Having said that, I love good baseball and listened to the game last night, what a wild ride indeed.

In the "after show" last night they called Tito a maestro .... I thought that was a pretty good descriptor. They've never won the Series in my lifetime but I've been waiting. I felt for Bauer - he really wanted to pitch that game. He seemed to be enjoying himself in the dugout though. Wonder if Tito has now introduced a "no drones in the post season" rule

I do have to say that was the one of the best managed games I have ever seen.

I may never get that blood dripping hand image out of my head. Although they haven't been together that long, they are like a big fun, family. No real super stars and they have lost their share of key players including 2 starting pitchers late in the season and a starting catcher. They are will to do anything Tito asks of them for the good of the team. I love that everyone in the organization (not just the players ) pitched in to raise 1 million $ recently very quickly to benefit under privileged kids in Cleveland. Sports figures in CLE are very generous. Lebron's Family Foundation does amazing things including pledging 41 million $ for college to kids of Akron to attend Akron University. Pretty cool.

I agree with this. Love Lindor and his happy face all the time. He & Kipnis seem to have a good bond. And I loved the "lucky penny" story they told about him last night. I love that Tomlin told Tito he would happily pitch again ASAP if needed. They are a true "team" and they always seem to be enjoying playing the game.

I moved to Cleveland in 1995,which is the last time the Indians were in the world series (I hope I am getting this right,LOL). Not into sports at all,but I tell you what.....the city is buzzing....it is full of electricity. I hope they can keep the good vibes going from back in June when the CAVS won the championship. This city is amazing, and its people are even more amazing, and they deserve this. Like I said,I am not into sports at all,but for this city's sake,I sure hope they go all the way! Go Tribe!

Born and bred Clevelander. Work just down the street from the JAKE (yes, it will always be the Jake) and the Q (I've accepted that name change) and I cant tell you how exciting this year has been to be here. I'm a Cleveland Fan, so yes, I've got to follow my tribe! You just cant make me listen to the announcers on TBS. I'll stick to Tom Hamilton on the radio. He does it so well. (a swing and a miss!)
Anyway. I'm chewing nails as we speak. Game should be starting NOW.
GOOOOOOO TRIBE!

Much prefer listening to him and I can follow without the tv on.

I'm happy to see the Indians doing well. My Grandmother never missed a game and even when seeing the television was nearly impossible, it was on so that she could listen to it.
It makes my heart happy to see them doing well because I know how happy it made her.

Yes that was a big fat bummer last night. But you can't sweep them all! They hadn't lost a game in 20 days. They'll regroup and hopefully tonite is the night.
Game 3 my hubby turned off the sound on TBS, opened up our door (with the AC still on!) and turned on XM radio to hear the radio announcing of the final inning!

We are going to come back!!! Last night was the start of a 4 game winning streak! **Please!** Go Jays! **I realize this is nearly impossible, but a girl can dream right? 2 years in a row we've reached the ALCS only to stop bat production. I'm a realist and know it's a huge feat but it could happen!**

First he whined about the umpires not giving them a fair shake, but now he thinks that Merritt (tonite's pitcher for the Tribe) is gonna be "shaking in his boots". He's arrogant and a crybaby, horrible combination in an athlete (or just in a man in general).

So happy for Tito, The Tribe and all the CLE fans! Stellar performance for Merritt (funny he didn't look like he was shaking in his boots, Bautista???) and the bull pen! Hope the home field advantage works in their favor for the World Series. Cleveland is Believeland.

Well that totally sucks!!!! Guess we will have to live with the memory of sweeping Texas on an Odor error until April. I for one won't be sad if Bautista isn't with the Jays next year, but will miss Edwin terribly.
Merrit was great today, cant believe we couldn't get a run. Good luck going forward tribe fans. It would be pretty impressive to have both the NBA and MLB champions in one city.
