I predict we'll see her back on some all-star seasons. Next week is the merge. Can't wait to see the reaction to voting Michaela off. Personally I don't see her as an all star. she tough, good at challenges but gets voted out the first time they lose a challenge via a huge blind side. Is she a big personality .. absolutely.. but in my opinion she is not an all star.

Love the blindside. M was a strong player but mouthed off too often. Smart but not smart enough to keep others comfortable having her stay. I would have gotten her out the first chance,

I think this is probably one of, if not THEE best season of Survivor. This group is certainly not afraid to make the big moves and as a fan, I'm loving it.
Most of the past seasons, the players talked about it, but most did not act and it was becoming quite predictable....I really appreciate the WOW moments!

Another great episode with great challenges! I'm not sure where to start, but have to say I couldn't stop laughing at Adam talking to Taylor after voting Figgy out. No excuses or apologies, he just completed owned the betrayal. I was a little concerned about Jess & Ken talking about working with Taylor instead of Adam going forward, but think they'd be smarter staying with Adam.
I am a huge Michaela fan, but as much as Figgy blew it letting her joy at Michelle surviving tribal last show, Michaela's glee at seeing Figgy gone was another mistake. I don't remember any season where we had these kind of reactions.
I wish I could remember tribe names, but why the heck was Zeke the one lifted to move the balls along the track? Why didn't they put David or Michelle on Chris's shoulders to begin with? They did get it together to win the challenge, but that was a shaky start. I know we have the merge coming up, but I find the dynamic of this tribe interesting. David sees himself on the bottom, but is he over Michelle? Not sure it was smart to share the HI info with Zeke.
Moving on, was Bret pretending to be a funeral director with Gen X? I don't remember it coming up and think it is pretty funny that the Mills identify him as a cop so quickly. I love that all three of the tribes ended up at tribal council before the merge and all three voted out a majority alliance member. I hate that it was Michaela, but her biggest mistake was working to preserve the Mill numbers into the merge. Jay and Michelle masterminded Mari's departure, getting both Michaela and Hannah to vote out Mari and I think they are going to be a formidable power couple with the merge. I loved that Jay owned his betrayal of Michaela and was unflinching in that stare down. And how telling is it that no one wanted to let Hannah in on it? Does she realize how outside the decision making she is?
So going into the merge we have 6 GenX and 7 Mill. I see Jay, Michelle, Taylor and Will immediately rebonding. None of these Mill have forged relationships with GenXers though and I think that will be their downfall in the end. I think Zeke, Adam, David, Ken & Jess will be the stronger alliance. Chris will be back with Bret & Sunday and try to pull in Zeke (who I think will successfully work both groups). And then there is Hannah.

I swear Hannah gets a TON of air time and I don't understand, but I want to keep yelling at her to push up her glasses.... She is getting on my nerves anyways.

Thought it was smart of Adam to talk to Taylor but he was dumb about it. He completely took the blame and even put more ideas in Taylor's head! Never ever say " and I put you in a horrible position" WTF was Adam thinking? Just admit you did it for game play and nothing else dude!
Michaela may have been too brash and more mouthy than we have been shown. There were issues with her at the beginning and I'm not sure she was as liked as they portrayed her to be. Never saw her laughing or engaging with anyone unless she was telling them what to do. Maybe she was a huge bitch at camp?
I'm laughing because for the first twenty seasons (or more) any outside talking at tribal was completely forbidden. Nowadays, people can collude before votes and give hints and even interrupt Jeff to stare down their tribe. Makes for interesting tv I guess, but I liked how at tribal before, there was nothing allowed to influence voting and you needed to settle at camp.

She's getting a finalist state edit for sure UGHH I hope she goes next time... she's my least favorite after Figgy. Was relieved when Figgy was gone. Suprised but not surprised they turned on Michaela. For that very reason that she was the strongest. I thought that last week they would gang on her fast if she plays well. I like her brashness too and says it like it is.

That episode was nuts. That's one of the most intense vote-offs I've ever seen. Michaela held Jay in a death stare for what seemed like forever. And Jay death-stared her right back. Wow! At the beginning of the episode, I thought that Taylor was going to be way more uncontrollably angry at Adam than he was. You handled yourself pretty well Taylor. And he actually is doing a good job ingratiating himself with the two Gen Xers. Gotta give him credit. But I don't want to see Jess and Ken turn on Adam! He saved them and he was so adorable talking about his mom having cancer. No one knows he has the HII, do they? Both of the challenges were good ones tonight. I thought they were exciting, nail-biters to the end. I was okay with who won the reward challenge. They are kind of the underdogs, so it was nice to see them get a win. The dinner they had looked awesome, but I was a little worried Zeke was going to get sick. And poor Michelle--the guys were disgusting after they ate! It was cute watching her eat her food so neatly and sit there, trying to disguise her disgust as they farted and belched their way into contentment. No surprise that Michaela was again the MVP for her team and got them the second place reward of kebobs. I would have been perfectly fine with that. When Ken's team lost I thought, eh, Ken will just get them some fish. I think Brett was really foolish lying about his occupation. It's not that big of a deal to say you're a cop. Lying about your profession and risking losing the trust of your tribemates is more dangerous than them knowing you're a cop. Plus, I have to wonder how much research he did on funeral directors. The immunity challenge was a good one too. I was so happy to see skinny little David finally performing well. And lo and behold, Michaela finally found something she's not good at--slingshots! Unbelievably her team lost. I think Jay is a really smart, strategic player. I think it made sense for him to vote out Michaela. She knows he has the HII and that was to her detriment. I wouldn't want a player left in the game that knows that. And she is NOT someone I would want to go to the end with. I think voting her out was smart. BUT, I am heartbroken for her. I really loved her. She had a big mouth and could be awfully bossy and mean, but underneath she had a heart of gold and was a true warrior. I predict we'll see her back on some all-star seasons. Next week is the merge. Can't wait to see the reaction to voting Michaela off. I agree with everything you wrote above Jackie (and I bet you're getting tired of me saying that ) but it's true. I'm writing late because DS watched the baseball game on Wednesday night and we waited until last night to watch Survivor. OMG!!! Watching Michaela getting blindsided and voted out-WOW! that had to be the blind side of the well, several seasons anyway. Her reaction! When the tribes came back together for the first challenge and the other tribes got to see who was voted out last week (Figgy) Michaela once again opened her big mouth and let everyone know her feelings with a big reaction. I told DS then, "Michaela needs to learn when to speak and when to keep certain things in. In Survivor you don't blurt out anything and everything that comes to your mind. Most things you hold inside. Michaela doesn't understand this". Sure enough, later in the episode she goes and shows 3 other teammates her entire strategy with the shells and pebbles for the next several tribal councils. They are blown away by her game play and realize then how strategic she really is-high intelligence, strategy and that amazing athletic ability-shit! We've got to get her out now while we've got a chance. If she'd just kept all of that game play to herself she could have won this game. Maybe she'll learn that lesson and get a chance to come back. I also was happy to see David performing really well during the challenge-I so wished that Jeff had called out like he does "David is doing an amazing job getting the balls through the loops!" so his teammates and David could have heard that. I think it would have done them all good. I was frustrated that Jeff didn't-but I understand it is going so fast and Jeff is looking over all of the players. I too don't want to see Jess and Ken turn on Adam. I think they'd be better off to stick with Adam than with Taylor. Adam seems much more level headed and serious-someone to be trusted a lot more than Taylor. I am really loving this season. More than any I have in a very long time. And I've watched them all for the very beginning. Can't wait until next week.

I too can't figure out why Hannah gets air time. She is pretty useless and clueless.

Okay, I'm late to the party this week - I wasn't able to watch until the weekend. I agree that this is a great season. I am enjoying the players. It was a big move for sure. Looking forward to this week's episode!

I didn't see a thread for this week & was too lazy to start a new one LOL
I don't understand why they voted out Michelle instead of taking the opportunity to get rid of Taylor this week
but I'm glad it wasn't Adam - I was getting worried when he didn't play his idol. Big mistake telling Taylor about his advantage!

We were wondering the same thing. This is the time to take out the strong players.
