Time to enable. List tools or small appliances that you have discovered that you love so much that you would replace them in a heartbeat if anything were to happen to them. Things that you use often and have made your life easier. The little Vidalia Chopper is a terrific tool for chopping vegetables and fruit. Perfect for chopping stuff for soups or other recipes. I have sugar gliders (little furry pets) and chopping their fruits/vegetables is a breeze with this magic tool. Done in minutes. I use the Multi Cooker every day. Perfect to make soup, roast, meatloaf, roasted vegetables, chili, etc. The air fryer, pressure cooker and Nuwave all get a good workout in my house. I rarely use the stove anymore. Here is mine: Vidalia Chopper 11 in 1 Multi Cooker
Air Fryer
Instant Pot Pressure Cooker
NuWave Oven

I'm with Peano -- but instead of the strainers, I go for a meat thermometer and good knives!

I'm pretty low-tech. My favorite things would be:
1. Ikea chef's knives and paring knives. I don't know if their knives are still as good, but I bought this set about 15 years ago and they are fantastic--and cheap. I literally could not cook without them. Just a little sharpening now and then and they are good to go. I've used far more expensive knives that did not fit in my hand the way these do.
2. USA bakeware. If you search at Amazon, you can find them, every kind of baking pan and sheet you can think of. They are non-stick, made in America, heavy-duty, fantastic. I am slowly collecting every size and shape!
3. KitchenAid stand mixer. I have the bowl-lift kind, bought refurbished years ago. This thing is indispensible.
4. Colanders in four different sizes.
5. Salad spinner and storage bowl. Lettuce lasts so much longer with this.

This is like asking me to choose between my children! Ergh... but if we limit it to store bought, and easily replaceable, based on pure functionality and not emotional attachment ('cause it's an heirloom or something)... then these are the Top 5 off the top of my head.
1. Stand Mixer (KitchenAid) 2. Thermapen (sooo worth the money) 3. Rubbermaid silicone spatulas (as rec'd by ATK) 4. Fish spatula in both metal and exoglass like Matfer Bourgat (not for fish specifically mind you, just excellent all the way around) 5. non-electric safety can opener (the kind that doesn't leave sharp edges)
I could do honorable mentions for days. For instance, there's this one spatula that's just perfect for pancakes and solely for that purpose so it lives longer. Same for my cookie spatula. They aren't used often but would definitely be replaced if possible if something happened to them. (Alton Brown may be against unitaskers but I'm not. I'm all for finding a tool that does the best job.)
And anything rec'd by ATK that I've tried.
Great thread!
