Youngest ds and I have an appointment in a nearby city and traffic coming back will be a parking lot. So, dinner is leftovers. I won't be home until well after dinnertime. If ds wants to pick up something for himself on the way home we shall do that. He's working hard on college apps and school work. So, he gets to choose his dinner tonight. On December 1st I think this kid is allowed to sleep all day long if he chooses.
What's on your menu?
Have a wonderful Thursday everyone.

I'm still on the fence with dinner tonight so it will either be tortellini in a red sauce or grilled steak and salmon with Caesar salad ... I'll let dh decide when he gets home from walking the beast aka the dog

Sweet chili chicken and leftover couscous. At least that's what DD and I had (and redcurrants for dessert). DS has friends over, and they ordered pizza. DH is working late, so he will probably eat something at work. DD and I will see "Trolls" together this evening, so there will be chocolate later! (I might have mentioned before that I'm a chocoholic?)

DH is arriving home from Barcelona this evening, and so I wanted to plan something that will keep if he is a bit delayed. I'mm making pulled pork, with baked potatoes and grilled corn on the cob. I might throw in a green veg too - there's still some broccoli in the fridge that needs to be eaten.

In case you all are waiting on the results of last nights dinner and if my guesses to the sides was correct, wait no more...(should I use a spoiler alert??) We had mashed potatoes, corn and carrots that were cooked with the pork roast. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) And if you missed my guesses or have forgotten, I guessed mashed potatoes and corn. LOL OK, tonight. We can either have the leftovers from last night (I brought some home) or??? It may be a Subway for daughter, SO had to get up early and he will be tired and ready for bed by 7 and she has basketball practice until 6:30. We will figure it out.

DS is coming home for the weekend, and my boss stopped by a store that sells Polish food yesterday and offered to bring some back for anyone who wanted it. I got golabki, city chicken and pierogi. I found out later than their city chicken is actually.... chicken. (kind of what I would expect from a Polish store out in the country LOL - they used to make it the right way, but people weren't buying it because of the cost, so then they made it both ways, and people were still buying the chicken, so that is all they have now.) Pretty disappointed, because now I will have to make it at home soon so we get the real deal. However, chicken skewers and pierogi will still be a good dinner! I ate one of the cabbage rolls last night and it was very good.

It is supposed to get into the 90s again today, so I think a summer favorite - BLTs - is on the menu. Half a head of Romaine lettuce and a few heirloom tomatoes are all that is left from our new to us CSA box and the next one will be on the doorstep tomorrow.

It may just be dh and me for dinner. He's having chili from the freezer for lunch and I may have it for dinner. There's always fish sticks if we get desperate!
Dd and ds have been going through some really difficult times lately and today may make things even worse 😕 Sorry to be cryptic but they could use some good thoughts.

I need to use up some ground beef and was very uninspired until I read about newlywoods03's teriyaki meatballs. So I'm going to look at Pinterest to see if I can find a recipe and go with that. Thanks for the inspiration!

The pup goes back to the vet this evening. So, either we will hit a drive thru on the way home or there is chili I just finished making because I knew I wouldn't be able to this evening.

We made a trip to Walmart today - the first time in three weeks so it was long and expensive. So we picked up a sandwich in the deli area. We split a Ham and Cheese but we had to 'dress' it ourselves. We added extra mayo, creole mustard, lettuce and tomato. Sides, if you want to call them sides, were sweet pickles and chips. I'm satisfied. I think I want a nap now - Walmart wears me out.

Although, it was my oldest that requested it. He is a great eater. Little brother not so much lol. He did gag down one tiny bite though. Tonight's dinner will be an all cheese taco aka uncooked quesadilla for him 😉

Good thoughts going out to KelleeMMy parents moved to this area over the summer. Yesterday my aunt and my sister came into town to see the folk's new house and visit for a long weekend. I'll be over there for dinner tonight and have no idea what mom is making. The company will be wonderful, not so sure about the food. I say this with love...all the women in my family are terrible cooks! I'm an adequate cook and I'm the very best of the lot. It's just the way it is! Still, I'm happy to spend time with family I hardly ever see.

Tonight's dinner will be an all cheese taco aka uncooked quesadilla for him 😉 I got into the habit of serving plain mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta and rolls at every meal because that's all one of mine would ever eat, so I totally get it.

So I was just starting to consider dinner and being all pissy about being old and not understanding young people who talk at me rather than explain things and then...the realtor called.
Some dude have me a crazy low offer on my house the first day it showed. I countered back at full price and a pretty low offer on helping with closing costs. He came back with another offer, I essentially said a similar offer and tonight? He came back agreeing to my terms. OMG.
I think I just sold my house. Assuming that all goes well of course. It's been like 5 days.
So dinner? Pfft. I want to dance and shout and throw up all at the same time.
