I'M SO FANCY! even though my 12 YO has informed me that the lyrics are inappropriate. There are several songs that I like, but in my case it's my 23 YO DD that tells me the lyrics are inappropriate. My response is "I don't care, I like the beat!"

Roam and Rock Lobster by the B52s Turn Down For What (what an awesome vibe) Beds Are Burning by Midnight Oil (just heard it today but the line "how can you dance when our beds are burning" is hard to sing lol; it ends on a weird note) These Eyes by The Guess Who, just cause it's so funny to sing the fast part Basically anything from Madonna, New Order, Big Audio Dynamite, Depeche Mode and The Beastie Boys The Bottom Line: link

American Pie (Don McLean) Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) Pour Some Sugar On Me (Def Leppard)
How's that for a weird mix?

That's what I was going to say. Love Shack by the B52's that's the only song I know by them did they sing anything else.
I sing along to a lot of songs in the car I couldn't possibly mention them all. I'll sing along to anything that I know most of the words to.

I'm a Jersey girl, so anything by Bruce or Southside will get me singing loud - sometimes w/the windows open, lol.

I'll sing - out loud - to anything. Sometimes I make up lyrics as I go.... But my #1 sing-along fab fave is the Beatles. Yep, I'm old - I can sing along to 99% of their songs. Also good for singing down the highway are The Beach Boys, the Rolling Stones and most '60's rock. But I'll sing to anything. Oh and some show tunes are great for belting it out. And also agree with Bohemian Rhapsody.....

This is my current "song I think I can sing but really can't even come close" car tune. I never loved this song or hated it--until those overplayed Windows phone/tablet commercials pushed me over the edge.I'm still trying to figure out what kind of bravery is needed to buy a tablet.

Cold play's "Viva la Vida" and New Radicals "You Only Get What You Give" came to mind when I saw the thread title.
I also agree with Kid Rock's "All Summer Long".

Perhaps "Mandy" by Barry Manilow. See now every time I hear this I think of the Simpsons where Homer sings "Oh Margie, you came and you brought me a turkey, on my vacation away from workie"

I have a playlist on my ipod called Louder Now which is full of songs that make me turn the volume up, dance embarrassingly in my car and make me pretend I'm winning singing talent shows. Some of my favourites are Beer by Reel Big Fish, Inevitable by Anberlin, International You Day by No Use for a Name, and Sorrow by Bad Religion.

ANYTHING LOUD! But I love it all from James Taylor to ACDC. Depends on my mood. For DH mostly country but we like a wide range and pretty much the same stuff and we're usually in the car together as I don't drive unless I have to.

Anything from Heart's first five albums. I wanted to be Ann Wilson when I was a kid, and that feeling never went away.
