I don't remember tearing up so much as I did in this episode! I love David and Ken. I don't know why they fell for they're voting for Ken because that was an idol wasted. I could literally just stare at Ken all day, he is by far the most attractive guy both inside and out to play survivor. I can't stand Bret never could and I did wonder for a second if the I'm gay too was a ploy to make Zeke feel more comfortable. I can't stand Zeke either and their behavior at tribal was mean. It would suck to go out of the game by drawing rock. I wondered the same thing.

I'm guessing everyone in his life already knows.

I was not a fan of Jess, so I'm not upset it was her. I was shocked when Brett revealed his secret and started liking him more. Then he blew it at tribal council. I was sorry to see Chris go in the 1st part and hope next week it'll be Zeke or Brett. Or both if they have 2 eliminations again. Still enjoying Ken's abs and loved that the camera person searched all over looking for those ants! I've never watched this show before. What is the purpose of the "jury?" I thought in the event of a tie, they'd be the ones to break the tie. But nope, didn't happen. So why are they there?I know leslie132 already answered the question about the jury, but I just wanted to add that Bret's line to Jessica when she pulled the black rock (blaming David for going to the rocks instead of coming to a group decision) was a classic playing to the jury move. If Bret and David end up in the final 3, he wants Jessica (and everyone else) to "remember" that it wasn't his fault that they went to the rocks, but David's fault. Bullying might get you so far in Survivor, but it doesn't win you the big prize. To win, you need to balance friendship and/or respect votes from those on the jury. I do think the moment between Bret and Zeke was genuine and a surprise, but I also think it is true to their generational experience. Bret is out as a gay man but it isn't something he necessarily brings up out of context. What is flooring me about the GenXers is how many are hiding their real identity. Bret is a cop, but says he is a funeral director, and I didn't realize until their Ponderosa clips that both Chris (defense attorney not a coach) and Jessica (prosecutor not a photographer) were also making up their history. Can we talk about the potential romance between Hannah and Ken? How about Sunday misleading Hannah & Adam into thinking Ken needed to be saved? She hasn't impressed me as the most strategic player, but darned if that wasn't an inspired answer to Hannah. If Hannah had more time to process it, she would have realized Sunday wasn't going to answer with her name, but in the heat of tribal it was enough to throw both Hannah and Adam off. I don't think it is in his best interest, but I do love that David is willing to give up his idols for alliance members. I'm firmly on Team David at this point. So was Adam brilliant for saying they were whispering Ken's name? Was it to save Zeke as the idol would have been given to Hanna??? Im confused.

Ethan truly never stabbed anyone in the back the entire season and Colby took someone to the end who he knew could beat him rather than take someone who was undeserving. Colby ... sigh!!! Of course I also have an inappropriate crush on Caleb

Well, I'm joining the party REALLY late this time! I was actually in the hospital having surgery (still in a lot of pain) Tuesday and just got home Thursday afternoon. So I have a good excuse. Loved the double episode! I remember back in the old days they always did a re-hash episode on Thanksgiving week, so what a treat this was. I'm still enjoying the heck out of watching these guys play.In the first episode, I loved the rallying behind of David at the reward challenge and how emotional he got when the rest of the tribe refused to let him sit out like he offered to do. And, I thought he did a good job int he swimming part, so he wasn't a detriment to his team. The other team just killed on the puzzle. The reward challenges where they have to eat nearby the losers are always so cruel. I appreciated how Hannah tried to be considerate of that but Brett didn't give a shit. His true colors were starting to come out. Watching Jay kick all of their asses at the immunity challenge was pretty funny. He's always had a bit of a likable guy feel and I do believe he's playing pretty hard. It was fun watching the back and forth and figuring out who everyone was going to vote for. I was so glad that David convinced Zeke to vote for Chris instead of Jess. I liked Chris okay--I don't really like him any less than Jess, but Jess is aligned with other people I like so he had to go! It was a great blindside. David made the same classic error after that first tribal that Adam did last episode--trying to make nice-nice with his enemy and letting them know who he's gunning for. Adam threw Will under when talking to Taylor and now David did it to Zeke when talking with Sunday and Brett. Of course Brett went straight to Zeke and General Zeke went into attack mode and started organizing his "soldiers" (yeah I agree--Zeke is playing a really good game but needs to keep that arrogance in check). The reward challenge snaking through the sand and then building the snake puzzle, my dd loved that one for some reason. Again, the puzzle was the thing because Ken's team was so far ahead (and I was really rooting for him), but they didn't win. In usual form Brett (who may be one of the only contestants to gain weight during Survivor) is pounding down beers and bonding with Zeke. I did not know Brett was gay and for a moment, I thought he was making it up to get in tight with Zeke. I clearly realized he wasn't and I admit that the gay-bonding was a really nice moment. When Zeke returned and tried to talk to Hannah, I wanted to shake her though. I kind of love the girl but I just wanted to scream--TELL ZEKE WHAT HE WANTS TO HEAR: YES, DAVID IS THE MOST DANGEROUS PLAYER ZEKE. NO, I DO NOT RUN AND TELL DAVID THAT YOU ARE COMING FOR HIM--I'M WITH YOU ALL THE WAY ZEKE. But she didn't. Of course Zeke immediately picked up on it and switched his vote to Hannah and TOLD everyone else to vote for her--not asked, not discussed, just told. The one good thing though is Hannah did pick up on this and told David he needed to save her. Her instinct was right. At TC, it was nuts. Hannah and Adam whispering was stupid--didn't you two hash this out beforehand. Sunday telling Hannah they were voting for Ken (smart move on her part but VERY dumb that they believed her. you guys aren't aligned with her!). Brett acted like an asshole the whole time at this TC; getting angry at the trust cluster term, picking on David for crying (and shame on you Zeke for joining in, so disappointing!). I did appreciate Sunday at least speaking up about that. What jerks! I agree with many of you who expressed your disgust at them. Brett is my guy in the pool and I really hope he's out next. He may have been trying to do that but the jury would have to be idiots to have that affect them. Neither David nor Brett were willing to change their votes so they (and everyone else wouldn't change their vote) are equally responsible for the rock-drawing. Brett's just being an ass once again. And I do get why they didn't want to change. I think David at least made a good case as to why they should switch--Zeke IS a more powerful player than Hannah. But, none of them wanted to get on the wrong side of the numbers so they did not do it. I was sad to see Jess pull the rock (she's my dd pick in the pool) but Jess got saved one other time. Her time was up this time. I am totally rooting for David (my dh's pick in the pool) or Ken. I would be okay with Jay too as he's played a pretty strong game. I would have thought Zeke deserved the win but after his behavior at this last TC, I just can't root for him. Thanks so much for posting the Ponderosa footage. If you guys haven't watched, you should. Both Chris and Jess got a warm welcome and both confessed they lied about their professions and were actually lawyers. The biggest shock at TC though was what Jess looks like outside of the game and with make-up on. I didn't think it was her at first. She was just gorgeous!

I think Brett, Zeke and Sunday's alliance were whispering to make sure they were on the same page (voting for Hannah) and Adam and Hannah were trying to listen in. Hannah even outright asked them. That's when Sunday said they were voting for Ken, hoping to throw them off so David would use the hidden immunity idol to protect Ken when REALLY he needed to use it to protect Hannah. Sunday's plan worked and the numbskulls believed that the other group was voting for Ken. I don't think Adam was being brilliant at all. I think Adam was trying to help his alliance and told them to use the idol on Ken. He completely bought into Sunday's ruse. So...David did what Adam suggested and played the idol on Ken. I'm sure Adam is feeling pretty stupid about that.

I liked Colby and Ethan a lot when they played their original seasons, but Colby really disappointed me when he came back for additional all-star games. I thought he was humorless and a poor player. I did love him in his season though. Not sure what happened to the guy. I think he couldn't function in a game where he wasn't in charge and looked at as the leader.

I don't understand why they didn't do the fire building instead of the rocks..it was obvious that Hannah and Zeke were the choices to go so that would have make more sense. Not a huge Jess fan but David and Ken needed her to stay. Cant stand Brett or Zeke...and and can hardly stand Sunday. I love David and Ken...and Jay is growing on me maybe..They need to get Zeke out, Brett is pretty weak so can go anytime hopefully.

To expand on this, Probst has said before that the intention is to force them to work together to come to a decision and break the tie themselves. Ideally, they would do that on the re-vote. That's why the only people who re-vote are the ones who have a stake, i.e. the ones who are not safe if it goes to rocks. In this case, is Jess had switched her vote to Hannah, they wouldn't have gone to rocks and Jess would have been safe for another week. If no one changes their vote, then they have to work together again to come to a unanimous decision to vote someone out. That's much harder, but they are much more motivated to cooperate, or should be, because the next step puts them at risk to go home, but saves both of the people who were originally targeted. Drawing rocks is not playing the game, it's just random bad luck. That's why Jeff and the other producers discourage it.

Still enjoying Ken's abs and loved that the camera person searched all over looking for those ants! yes, i enjoyed the camera man's attention to detail and editting make sure the abs made the final cut. No one has mentioned Hannah's little confessional that she and Ken could maybe be a couple. that was so cute!! ken is a model so i am sure he is *very* aware the effect of those big blue eyes and chiseled features have on the ladies (never mind the abs....). colby was awesome and i really like ozzie too. my all time fave survivor crush was tom, the fireman. i remember him doing that challenge in the water carrying a heavy rope and they have to try to lap the other team. he pretty much won that challenge single handily. sigh. he was a super-strong competitor but when he returned, he was a couple of years older and didn't seem to be as strong (yet still oh-so-attractive).

He is one of the most humble people that have ever been on the show. He seems to be totally unaware. Since he lived *off-the-grid* for a while, I'm guessing he is as down-to-earth as they come. JMHO of course.

I'm coming to this thread super late myself. To be honest with Thanksgiving it threw me off and I totally forgot to come back and look for this thread! Sorry about that.
I agree what a treat it was to have two episodes instead of the typical reshowing of a past episode we'd get near Thanksgiving Day.
I agree with a lot of you about both of these episodes. Lost lots of respect for Zeke and Brett during the tribal council.
I've been pointing out to DS how dirty Hannah looks for the past 4 episodes-she has grime and dirt rubbed into her skin. I told DS-that girl needs to get into the sea and wash that grime off! Maybe she's afraid of the ocean, and only goes in when she absolutely has to?
I thought Sunday slipping the name "Ken" out during the tribal council was a brilliant move on her part for her alliance, but I was so worried because it targeted Ken and at the time for all I knew it could have been real-so until all of those names were read out loud I was on pins and needles. I really want Ken to win this!
