Ah yes, their hatred of "political correctness", you know, what we used to call "civility" or "being polite".

Well, I stand with calling him a POS. It doesn't matter what his political position is, a normal person does not get up and berate other passengers on a plane. For any reason. It would be terrifying to be trapped on a plane with such a person. Obviously Delta felt the same way to refund all other passengers their ticket prices.

Do you think you (anyone, general you) would have sat through that quietly?
I'm not thinking I could. I almost got into it with the girl behind me who was mouthy to the FAs with he uncovered ice skates that were somehow allowed on the plane and then shoved into my legs

I almost got into it with the girl behind me who was mouthy to the FAs with he uncovered ice skates that were somehow allowed on the plane and then shoved into my legs He looks kinda like my brother, and that's exactly the kind of thing he'd do. From years of dealing with people like him who have terminal assholitis, not engaging them is the best course of action. (he used to scream 'Free Willy' anytime he saw a fat woman in public--but when she looked, she saw me beating the hell out of him) Especially when you're trapped in a tin can at 30k feet. The people right around him are ignoring him--which makes me think he was knocking them back. If he got the fight he was so obviously spoiling for, the people around him could get hurt. More so than he would. There would be circumstances when I would get involved, but this isn't one of them. People have gotten broken arms, etc. just from someone falling into the seats while walking back from the bathroom and hitting turbulence. I am thrilled.

I think the people on the flight had exactly the right idea. Ignore the db.
Its apparent every DB knows to scream "Trump!" and they will get LOTS and LOTS of attention, film at 11.

Do you think you (anyone, general you) would have sat through that quietly? In general, it isn't wise to confront crazy head on. I would certainly have spoken with the flight attendant, but other than that, I would have sat there quietly and let him rail on. People like that have a special talent for hanging themselves, usually publically.

You want to talk about a "deplorable" situation in Chicago? It isn't this woman. It's the 52 people shot during the holiday weekend.

I'd love to see you post about the "deplorable" situation in Chicago whereby 52 innocent people were shot, including 2 15 year old boys.

Wow. Reusable bags, dead father's and Trump. It's like the trifecta of crazy. Now, sadly, she'll have to shop at JoAnn's.

I'd love to see you post about the "deplorable" situation in Chicago whereby 52 innocent people were shot, including 2 15 year old boys. Yes. That is deplorable too. Sadly that situation is borne of decades, if not generations, of depriving people of education, housing, etc. Just because things have been marginally better for the past few decades, that doesn't erase the decades/generations long holding back of entire groups of people based on their skin tone. Google epigenetics to see what the repression of one generation can lead to in subsequent generations.

This is not Trump's "fault". This guy is an a**hole who should have been removed from the plane immediately. This is where you are oh so wrong. There is no question these types of individuals have always been around. But it was Trump's actions & words and the fact that he won the election that has given fools like this the belief it's now ok to act like an a**hole. I mean it must be ok to act like an a**hole because Trump won! We have been freed from political correctness! So yes Trump is responsible. Trump's behavior may have been the inspiration, but I feel he cannot constantly be labeled as the responsible party. Because if we let Trump be responsible, then we give every a$$hole on the planet a built-in excuse for them to go behave badly as well. I just don't think we can or should do that. Because let's face it---no matter how many times Trump is blamed, nothing will happen to make Trump change. We can only hope to change individual Americans acting like a$$es or considering acting that way. I think our best chance to change them is by doling out consequences to each individual person who does something like this. It sends a clear message to the person involved in the situation, as well as those watching it play out online. These people want Trump to be their scapegoat. They want to act up and then have their "perfect" excuse ready to go. And that's all it is---an excuse. And a crappy one. Why should we respond by giving jerks like this exactly what they want? Save
